181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: new coins are worthless! on: April 20, 2019, 01:13:39 AM
They are totally new, they would start from almost zero value. Bitcoin did not amount to anything until a few years since its birth. You cannot expect a new coin or token to instantly shoot to tens of dollars, are you?

The value should be seen in their purpose, vision, and potential. You should invest in the potential and purpose of the coin or crypto, not on the $ you are seeing.
182  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: YoBit Signature Campaign (Bitcointalk) on: April 19, 2019, 11:47:58 PM
Do you think we can add our referral link in the signature?

I would not try that, the bot may not count your posts because it will look different to them. And in the past yobit signature campaign, if the bot recognizes that you changed your signature, they will automatically disable you from the campaign. That is a risk I will not take.
183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fun stuff to do with bitcoin? on: April 19, 2019, 11:19:59 PM
It seems like by you mean by fun is an easy way to earn bitcoin. Yeah, there is not much now. Unlike the good old days, faucets give too little satoshis now.

I found something shared in a FB group. If you are up to it, you can join a treasure hunt for bitcoin. This seems fun to me.

184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CoinMarketCap faking volume on: March 26, 2019, 04:30:00 PM
We should all boycott coinmarketcap.  They have been faking volumes and listing scams on their website for years.  They also have scam service ads running on their website.  We need to hit them in the wallet and stop using their site all together.

It wont be easy to boycott them, in fact there are still many people visiting CMC everyday compared to other similar service. I do believe 90% visitors knows about this faking volume by CMC but they still use it for personal purpose like checking price of their assets.

you can start boycotting it but I do not think it will make a dent. I for one is still using it just because it is the one place I can easily check on all of my coins. If there is something I see in it, I will make deeper research. CMC is good for a quick look. You do not make decisions based on the volume shown on the sites but it can make you make an action to do something more about it.

188  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I continue hodl my Bitcoin? on: July 14, 2018, 10:51:17 PM
If it is still profitable at the price you want to sell, then sell. I wont expect anyone who bought at $20k to consider selling now irrespective of his need, It will be unwise doing such. It is guaranteed that the price will climb some day but no one can predict when.
Don’t be upset, the price is growing again and I am sure that you will recover all your deficits in the near future. Be patient and hold your coins for some more time. Profit and loss are parts of business and you will have to bear this downwards situation of the market. It will not remain forever. You will see growth in the price very soon.

Well a lot of them have probably sold already lol. I think there are only a few of those that bought at close to 20k who still owns and holds their btcs at this time. Panic did it's work already months ago.

Probably true. Those who bought at that time are mostly newbies and easily swayed or discouraged to hodl their bitcoins. Those who are hodling right now are just those who bought before the price rallied to the new ath. If another rally comes, I am sure newbies will start flocking back again and will push to a new ath.
189  Other / Off-topic / Re: Anybody know's How To Invest in HYIP's And Not Lose Money? on: June 07, 2018, 08:24:10 AM
It is a ponzi scheme for a reason, to take away your money. That is like 100% that you will lose your money on it. Dedicate your time to learn on how to properly invest your money, do not rely on get-rich-overnight schemes. It will take time to learn the hows but it will be more beneficial in the future.
190  Economy / Economics / Re: I almost lost my rock solid regular job because of crypto on: June 05, 2018, 03:50:23 PM
That amazed me. I see no reason why people lost their regular job because of crypto. Cryto is a second choice of income. I got a job and making it haste.

A friend replaced his regular job with jobs in crypto world. I do not think it is one way. Whatever works for you, then do it. Some earn more and steadily doing crypto while others do not. I do not blame you if you just see this as a side job but others are building a life through their income in crypto. We just need to respect their choices.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: More and more Scam projects on: June 05, 2018, 12:54:35 PM
Guys, faced with the project, took part in the bounty, the result of Scam. Took part in another bounty company, there ICO ended more than a month ago, and the payment has not yet been the bounty Manager is silent...Apparently this year's bad in respect of ICO projects.

There are lots of money in ICO, so scammers see this as good opportunity to make money. We cannot stop this, but we can at least choose the right ICO to participate or join as bounty hunters. I dread the day that there will be no more ICO participants because there are too many scammers already in it.
192  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at $1000? on: May 27, 2018, 10:37:17 PM
it's impossible in my opinion because bitcoin price every year always goes up very unlikely the price will be back to $ 1000 unless everyone else has no trust with crypto and bitcoin really bubble

Nothing is impossible. That prediction is as possible as 1 bitcoin going above 20K. There are a lot of work that needs to be done in bitcoin in order to be able to maintain the status it have now. If bitcoin devs deliver, it can soar to hundred K, but if they fail, the price may drop more. It is all about how bitcoin will adopt to the needs of the future.
193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anything suspicious to consider about this? on: May 27, 2018, 09:32:34 PM
There should be checks on your exchange so that it would not happen. Your users will be wasting withdrawal fees if they do that, right? But since you allowed it, he may now be convinced that it is sloppyly done and there might be more vulnerabilities he can exploit.
194  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price at $18,000 On Christmas eve ? on: May 27, 2018, 04:36:02 PM
No one can say if it will reach that price or not within this year. But even if it does, what you are planning is really risky. You might say that the interest is just 10% but it is paid in monthly. The interest is probably compounded and there are penalties if you do not pay in time. The gains you get when the price double may not be enough to cover the penalties and interest if you cannot pay your monthly dues while your money is in bitcoin. And it gets worse if the price did not reach your target.
195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin on movies on: May 27, 2018, 03:29:13 PM
Movies does not always portray reality. It can be manipulated so it is not a good basis. But it can stir curiosity and provide awareness to the world. I saw some series who also shown ICO's, tokens and altcoins, bitcoin mining. These all provide good awareness, they may not always portray bitcoin as good but will inspire some to dig into cryptocurrency.
196  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Loan for investing in btc. on: May 27, 2018, 01:42:48 PM
For me, that is a very bad idea. You do not want to make loans and invest on something that is very risky. You should invest money that you can afford to lose. If you make loans, you have to pay for interest and everything. If somehow you lose your investment, you still have to pay for interest even if you do not have the money anymore. You should find another way to make money for investment, not making loans.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Indian govt. may impose tax on crypto on: May 26, 2018, 04:10:17 PM
If they are taxing bitcoin, then it means that they are recognizing it as a legal thing. I think that is a good development for bitcoin and other cryptocurrency. Though that is bad for the earners because their income will be lessen and the government can increase that tax any time they want.
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ethereum surpasses bitcoin on: May 26, 2018, 01:46:27 PM
We cannot remove the fact that this thing can happen, but should we be afraid? If ethereum overtakes bitcoin, then we would just simply switch from using eth rather than btc. And we must admit, most bitcoin users that is active in crypto also have ethereum in their purse. Competition is good, and we as users will benefit more if there are tight competition on the top rather than just one coin that reigns them all.
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is possible for beginner can long term hold Altcoin? on: May 25, 2018, 04:40:38 PM
Of course you can. YOu can start holding the popular ones like ethereum and the like. Then when you are already a seasoned, you can start investing on altcoins or tokens that have good profitability. It requires a lot of research and work though.
200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the reason why we really need Bitcoin? on: May 22, 2018, 02:50:39 PM
I use bitcoin to be able to be in total control of my finances, away from prying eyes of the government and high inflation rates. With fiat, I get taxed in every turn but in bitcoin or crypto, I can keep my money and use it without having to deal with taxes.
