941  Economy / Speculation / Re: price after segwit? on: July 04, 2017, 05:19:00 PM
Segwit is supposed to be the solution to scaling problems of bitcoin which we experienced the effects during those months when the mempool is being spammed. So if ever if becomes a successful solution, confidence will build up and will shoot the price up. Hopefully.
942  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should long term holders sell before August 1st? on: July 04, 2017, 03:22:04 PM
I would say that do not fear the FUD but I am not in your situation. I only hold small amount compare to you OP. If you are that afraid, then dump it. You are the only one who can decide on this, in the end it is your money on stake.
943  Economy / Economics / Re: Who supplies us bitcoin? on: July 04, 2017, 03:09:53 PM
Bitcoin, in my opinons has had it up and downs, but who supplies us bitcoin? Faucets can only supply so much before it gets closed down. So that's not a big supplier. Working for bitcoin has declined. I used to make videos and earn bitcoins. But that site has closed down like every other sites or faucets. So who supplies us bitcoins nowadays? Tell us please!

Earning bitcoin has really became hard. It is just proportionate to its value, I guess. That is fair in my opinion. Even signature campaign has lessen the amount they reward per post. So to answer your question, work hard. Either work for bitcoin directly or work for fiat and buy bitcoin on exchanges. It is not worth it to use faucet nowadays. The value will just be eaten by fees when you  transfer them.
944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: July 04, 2017, 02:41:34 PM
The most expected thing regarding Curry happened, with no change at all. But The Clippers went through a big change with CP3 being resigned and sent off, even if it did bring good replacements, it's still big news for anyone following LA.
The Spurs already had made few deals, but I think they need more to compete for the title this year, rather than being swept 4-0...

They got swept because they were riddled with injury on the playoffs. Key players are out because of injury but they still gave a good fight. If it was otherwise, they have a chance in beating gsw. I think there is no major adjustment needed for spurs, a few adjustment on the front court and they are ready to go.
945  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is working fine! No change needed! on: July 04, 2017, 12:41:33 PM
If anything, the spam attacks a few months ago show us that blockchain cannot handle massive number of transactions. We need to change something in bitcoin so it can adopt. But if we let it just stagnate, I am sure it will be eaten by competition.
946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Outcome of Horn vs. Pacquiao on: July 04, 2017, 12:30:53 PM
All the hate won't do anything. It is time to move on and accept the result. The fact is manny pacquiao should retire from boxing. This is a clear sign. This is the mafia saying, in with the new, out with the old.
947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pacquiao VS Horn (Boxing) on: July 04, 2017, 08:56:30 AM
Fight in Australia, score cards favouring the Australian. I smell a rat to be honest. I don't think Horn won that fight at all based on what I watched. I think a rematch is in order, probably in the US.

So much biased there. I hope that there will be no more rematch. Pacman doesn't need to prove that he needed a second chance to regain the belt obviously in the eye of the people pacman is still the champ. Anyway I smell rat in the whole boxing scene. Promoters, businessman, and politics boxing now became a bussines fixing fights. I really hate what happnened to boxing.

Horn is obligated to have a rematch, it is in their contract. So if pacman still wants to fight horn, he can demand a rematch. I think he wi demand a rematch. It is all about money anyway.

About fixed fights in boxing, Boxing has been that way anyway. In one point it is even controlled by mafia. This is not something new.
948  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Confirmation became really fast, what has happened? on: July 04, 2017, 08:49:48 AM
Is the network finally being decongested, hence resulting in faster confirmations or it just so happened that it was an off peak hour at the time you made your transaction? Whatever it was, I hope this is the start of faster confirmations and lower fees moving forward and let's keep our fingers crossed and hope that this will be the norm.
Even it's not off peak hours my transaction still got confirmed in the next block with 10k+ sat, the transaction fees becoming lower , blockchain.info had 1 hour transaction fee which is 5k sat saw some transaction got through with 5k transaction fee

For those transferring from wallets that do not have fix fees, they can enjoy this moment of low fees.  But those exchanges that adjusted their fix fees because of the spam attack the last few months, they have not adjusted their fees yet to reflect this. So the fee is still very high for some exchanges even if there is now low unconfirmed transactions.
949  Economy / Speculation / Re: If I buy just 5 bitcoin today 2500$, Next 5 years bitcoin will be 15000$ on: July 04, 2017, 08:35:57 AM
If that is all your money, then absolutely not the right way to make an investment. You are never certain that bitcoin will be in that price range in 5 years. It is very volatile and risky. It is best to diversify your investments. Make investments in crypto, some on stocks and some on real estates.
950  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BREAKING NEWS]: Goldman Sachs says bitcoin could rise another 50% on: July 04, 2017, 12:31:59 AM
Funny how breaking news is taken for granted nowadays. It is more like a spam news to me. Every other thread here is saying almost the same thing, the only difference is the price.

Is he the same guy who breaking news satoshi is dead or is it another person?
951  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Confirmation became really fast, what has happened? on: July 03, 2017, 10:41:40 PM
OK then, now I'm totally confused Smiley
I've started the transaction from a mobile wallet. I have chosen the lowest priority from the drop down list, with the lowest fee possible.
It seems that the lowest fee is still above the average, and that mobile wallet has no option to input any fee, just has the possibility to choose the priority (and the matching pre-calculated fee).
It's high time to change the mobile wallet, I guess, as you all tell me that that fee was way too high for this amount...
I've understood that priority doesn't determine the fee, so I need a wallet where I can input a really low fee and send the transaction to an accelerator.

Your fee is just 159sat/byte, I say that is lower than the fees in the previous months where it the fee is above 200 sat/byte. It reached 0.0034 maybe because you have multiple dust inputs.

What wallet are you using?
952  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEM coin? on: July 03, 2017, 06:54:52 PM
I've been hearing about the "catapult" but the question is when will be the release? Are the team working on it now? I think the catapult think is long overdue and everybody is waiting for that one to come out.

I think the word is it will be launch this summer but there is no exact date yet. Everybody is anxious for it to be released but there is nothing we can do but wait. I think that it is worth it. Among all alt-coins out there, this is the only coin that is not hyped. That alone speak volume about this coin.
953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do Altcoins really have a future? on: July 03, 2017, 05:57:38 PM
The same question was asked when bitcoin was new. We now know the answer to that. The same can be said about altcoins. But not all alt-coins will have the same future as bitcoin. If it is just a copy paste of bitcoins code, then it will be trash. If it does not offer something new or any added value, it will be trash. But if it has a unique characteristic that can be valuable, then I say that coin have a future.
954  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BREAKING NEWS]: South Korea to Legalize Bitcoin!!!! on: July 03, 2017, 05:43:34 PM
This is another country added to the list of wanting to legalize bitcoin. I wonder how effective they could be on trying to track those who evade tax through bitcoin or cryptocurrencies. I think it will be a challenge to korean government to do so.
955  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is instant way to get rich ? on: July 03, 2017, 03:49:20 PM
It is a misconception that bitcoin is a get rich quick scheme. Though there are people who got rich because of bitcoin, there are other stocks that can get you rich as quick as bitcoin. The main factor is not bitcoin but rather your financial intelligence. If it is just bitcoin, those who discovered it early should have been all rich by now, but not. Only those who sees the value and have discipline to stick to their investment becomes millionaire.
956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: July 03, 2017, 03:09:14 PM
He deserves 100% this "supermax contract"!
He is the symbol of records and domination of the last 3 years of Golden State.
Last year Golden State lost to Cleveland because Curry was not 100% of its shape for the injury.

He will earn: 40M per year, 3.3M per month,110k per day ,$4,600 per hour,$ 75 per minute, over $ 1 per second!

But this year they won not only because he is healthy but because they have KD which makes them overpowered. Well he deserve the pay raise, he has been receiving meager amount for a superstar the past years. Kudos to his teammates for agreeing to receive smaller salary to make space for Curry.
957  Economy / Services / Re: Got a new website, anyone want to advertise on it? on: July 03, 2017, 11:31:03 AM
If I want to advertise, i'll go to google, I bet I'll get a better deal there than op website. Or if it is bitcoin related, it is best to make the ads here in bitcointalk. If he does not even disclose the name of his website, I bet it is not worth mentioning.
958  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Confirmation became really fast, what has happened? on: July 03, 2017, 10:48:14 AM
If you have not mentioned it, I would not have noticed it. The number of unconfirmed transactions have gone way down. It is now only less than 10K. That could have contributed to faster transaction. The fee should be lesser too.
959  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin accepted at New York pre-school on: July 03, 2017, 08:24:17 AM
This is good news. Not a big news like a country legalizing bitcoin but a step toward the right direction at least. This kind of news brings positive effect to bitcoin awareness and mass adoption.
960  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sending bitcoin without the miner fees ! on: July 03, 2017, 07:47:30 AM
What I want to know is why OP wanted to send bitcoin without mining fee? I think everybody in bitcoin knows that if you send without mining fees, it will be stuck. Does he sees any benefit in it?
