The bounce from 556 looks pretty corrective from here. Was hoping for a retrace to 595, I dunno now...

Had a tag of the sweet spot I mentioned a couple days ago. Short term bullish divergences continuing. Volume is unimpressive, though. I'll entertain the idea of trend reversal if we break above / close above ~ 624 level.

Daily still pretty ugly.

Zoomed out:

Bitcoin: The last bastion for white-trash racists.  How could it possibly fail?

I hear it. Undecided

15m makes it look like it wants to bounce.

LOL nice.

I don't see panic. Yet. Cheesy

How high is the possibility we will break into 400´?

I am getting tired of such slow returns and bashing from the media, while the mainstream are presented a once in a lifetime opportunity that they do not care for in the least at the moment. The whole scene feels dead. I was promised wall street would enter etc, etc....

.......and thats how we should be feeling at this stage of the wave. we should expect a couple of months before things get really hot again, but right now, they are dead. I think a lot of noobs were just slaughtered in the LTC bubble, and they will not be inspired right now.

There is not a soul buying at 600....  bugger all liquidity, the bears are just toying with the bulls.

Looking at the chart, I think why not 400s, but I also think a smart profit target for shorts is 560. my gut feeling is that we will not see 400 again.

I think we will see the 400s again. Although it might take us 4-6 weeks to get there. Slow drip. Probably faster of we don't get some good news to bounce us a little higher along the way. But even our bounces don't have energy right now. Let it all come back to earth. Fine with me.

I think 400s are pretty likely at this point. My charts were pointing to a slow slide, but if momentum builds from here, things could get ugly pretty fast.

Bulls: Just be careful bottom fishing on leverage.

My position still unchanged.

Good interview but this part was bit of bullshit:

A typical bitcoin millionaire is a very intelligent young (25-35) white male

Is it? I have no idea, but I would guess it's pretty accurate.

48k wall was back trying to pump LTC ... had second thoughts, I guess.

Looks to be just a retracement. Waiting patiently for 550s.

http://newsbtc.com/2014/03/18/u-s-treasury-official-warns-bitcoin-exchanges-registered-fincen/

This is the US treasuring firing a shot across the bow of a few big exchanges that do business without FinCen registrations.  This could have very negative impacts on the bitcoin economy until we see legit and regulated exchanges opening to offer those services to the people who would use them.  Bitcoin does not need legit exchanges to operate, but it does need them to bridge mass adoption.  Legit exchanges are a big part of overall adoption.

Also...

For even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their deeds.

Is Bitfinex registered with FINCEN?

5m says bounce, just as 1200 of the ask at 620 gets removed... just a little one, though. Cheesy

Such volume. Smiley

338  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 18, 2014, 04:30:24 AM
it is not a "SIGNIFICANT MOVE" as far as bitcoin price action is concerned, but it carries information in the short-term.

Exactly. Earlier today when I posted a chart illustrating the support breach this morning and lack of pressure to fuel a strong bounce, I was told I was over-analyzing. And I thought, do people around here wait for a sell-off to conclude that the price might go down? I'm trying to close or accumulate position before that occurs....
339  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 18, 2014, 04:04:03 AM
2k wall at 630. Someone wants the price to go down.  Cheesy
340  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Bitcoin Speculators Club Is Here ... on: March 18, 2014, 12:15:26 AM
I'm in, for sporadic discourse.

I'd be a holder, by your definitions, just curious mostly.

If I could offer any advice to the real speculators out there (or "in here") would be to pay close attention to the history of bitcoin, and when price action does not fit conventional technical analysis, be prepared to accept the fact that this is not like anything that has been traded before and traditional technical analysis may not always hold true. (It mostly does, but please do not stay married to your position when the market is moving the wrong way, no matter how hard the technicals are screaming at you, because bitcoin)

Technicals should keep you from marrying your position.

Exactly. Perma bulls and perma bears are not technical analysts. They are buffoons.
