Litecoin isn't a "scam" and the fact that (an unknown) someone claims it so doesn't have any relevance on Bitcoin.
Litecoin simply lacks innovation and has no purpose. It is too much a copy of Bitcoin to every grow to anything rivaling its big brother.
Exactly. It offers nothing new and changes the game in no way. Nor will it, ever.

Meh, maybe if they take out some of the other crap like TRC and FTC. XPM was a good add, but I see no reason to add MEC...

i keep getting "The last posting from your IP was less than 360 seconds ago. Please try again later." even though my last post was a lot longer than that. Any ideas?
If I remember correctly, and I may not, logging in/out may also affect this. It's been quite a while, though.

Cup and handle -- sides are April and August/September, handle is ~ SR crash and now in October we see confirmation. To the moon? We'll see.

I've received a whopping total of .001 BTC from tips during my time posting on bitcointalk. Took out the address recently.

Offering goods and services in the marketplace in exchange for coins can be a good way to pad your stash.

What price did you put your order it? That may have something to do with it.... Do you see it under your "active orders"?

Why trash Technical Analysis in the Speculation forums ? Do you prefer we just pull numbers out our asses ? Why are you here ?
Not all speculators are TA devotees. While I don't dismiss TA personally, I do take it with a large grain of salt when applied to Bitcoin. Even scientists have been known to check their horoscopes. It's fun. Do you not take it with a grain of salt when applied to other markets? Why is bitcoin any different?

DPR gave up his main wallet in order to save himself.
It's a good thing that this is in the speculation forum and not being presented as fact since I do not believe there has been any official word on how the private keys were obtained. Yep, for all we know -- and this is supported by other facts in the case -- dude was just sloppy as all hell.

I wonder how much this has been going on while all the Chinese exchanges have had 0% trading fees. Seems like it would be a big incentive to manipulate volume, potentially sparking a rally by creating the illusion of buying pressure that does not exist.

Hi and welcome to bitcointalk. Glad to have you here in the community! Mining bitcoin is pretty difficult to get into at this point without massive amounts of capital for new-generation asics. Personally, I'm just trying to find ways to work for / earn bitcoins as quickly as possible....

Local bitcoins? Can we confirm that trades actually occurred at those levels? I'm not sure how that works, never used it.

When I did it, it took 2-3 days, if I remember correctly. They were weekdays. This was back in like... May, if it matters.

Hehe, my girlfriend is totally into that stuff. Unfortunately for you, not at all into forums or bitcoins. Good luck!

I haven't found anything as good as keeping tabs open from the sites themselves which display the ticket. i.e. Bitstamp (home), BTC-E (home). Unfortunately, I have to use the Bitcoinity ticker for Gox, which is unreliable sometimes. Same with BTCChina.

Welcome to the forum! I figure there is so much money pouring into pushing mining to the next level that it would be impossible to keep up. Good luck, though.

There were law enfocement folks at our Ron Paul meetups too. Hell, Minnesota designated all Ron Paul supporters as potential terrorists.
Ah, that's right. I forgot we get lumped in with the Ron Paul people too... so we're all potential terrorists, then? Cool.

I am curious to see what the landscape looks like when all the Chinese exchanges aren't offering 0% trading fees. That has the potential for manipulating these numbers.

I expect more interest to return to Ripple following open-source ... kind of a disappointment!

You may be able to GPU mine litecoins, or other altcoins, but I don't suggest mining bitcoins. Keep an eye out for a GPU-miner for primecoin (XPM) -- if you can get the jump on that regarding difficulty, you could do well for a short time.
