A bit of movement on Bitstamp:

$265 to $54 in 3 days was the very definition of capitation.
Yeah, it dropped 80% in 3 days, and then flirted with the low *again* a couple months later. Looked like a good shake out to me. Point still remains -- it could still happen again, possibly sooner than later.

I think a lot of people are going to get burned come monday/tuesday.
Hmmm. In which direction, pray tell?

I keep seeing that site mentioned. I will check it out. Bitcoinity frustrates me... and clarkmoody just stopped working for me (hardly ever, anyway) a few months ago. Looks like maybe it was moved:

Ripple is coming. Last chance to buy cheap XRP
off topic I find it endearing when mah87 pokes his head in here and tells us all to dump bitcoin and buy XRP. I'm hear to spread the word that the end of bitcoin is near and that a new era is coming. The ripple era. Hehe, thanks for the heads up. I'm not complaining... I made a bundle of BTC on the Open Coin XRP giveaway. Wouldn't take a chance holding it now, though...

1k bid wall up at $210. Not quite sure if it was moved or if it's new... Bitcoinity is often off.

Bouncing back and forth between $211 and $215 (Gox). Looks like maybe 2000 coins have been added to bid side down to 192 since I last looked last night.

Quiet for the most part tonight... little dip under $210.

Could it be a head and shoulders formation? Looks like we are trading in a range. And people are just looking for a pattern more interesting. There's no doubt we are trading in the band indicated. That's not to say that patterns won't emerge.

A profit is a profit. Could have been a loss as well. So there should be no regrets.
Interesting to see only bulls around. Good sign for a downmove.... And there a lots of people with a lot of profits on lots of coins. At some stage they are going to realise their gains...
I might be wrong but I donīt believe that they are waiting for a new high.
Dude. You obviously just sold your coins so you did so with the thought in your head that this was either A. enough profit for you or B. that BTC would more or just as likely go up than down from heretoforth. So, we get it. But you don't need to preach about how the market can go down to single digits just to make yourself feel better about your decisions. While it "could" go back to single digits, the BTC eco-system is starting to grow at an exponential rate and awareness of BTC in the human population is growing at an exponential rate. So to assume that the price of BTC is not going to move up in the future is optimistically bear in your position. Congrats, you took your well deserved profits. No need to tell us what is going to happen next. Is he doing anything different than all the bulls in here shouting up, uP, UP? Serious question. This is the speculation forum... people should speculate. Bears included.

Lawd almighty.. 4,800btc volume over 24hrs. Sure everyone else is watching the rabbit in the room.. I'll bet Coinbase had more 24hr volume. Meh, I've got an eye on Stamp and BTCChina, too... but have found they still don't lead as much as Gox. Especially Bitstamp.

I think if we can't break through $216 on this run, we may find ourselves re-testing $204 support.
How do bulls feel if we don't break $216 here? Looking like a triple top, then, yes?
A little push into 215, a little push back to 210. Back and forth we go.
A look at walls. Oh Mt Gox, what happened to you?
Not a bear, but I feel the weekend dip coming for some reason...
Most likely a weekend stagnation, no fiat in/out of Bitstamp for the next 4 days. But I could see a small drop happening. Going all-in Sunday night. No fiat in and out? Banking holiday or something? Is this only on Bitstamp?

Looks like asks are up a couple thousand coins since I went to bad last night. Someone is trying to collect cheap coins before the take-off. Someone should program a bot that just repeats this phrase on an hourly basis in this thread. Might as well. To be frank, then, we should probably also have a bot repeating how bid depth is less than ask, and "how far we'd panic crash" ("omg omg!") if everyone just dumped, for no apparent reason. This is repeated daily, and it's supposed to instill fear in everyone who's clueless. It's hardy an observation when you hear it everyday. You know, this is the wall observer thread... why are you here? Oh, that's right, to keep chiding people into buying coins so they don't "miss the boat." Posting pictures of bid/ask depth is hardly as you describe, and people aren't being nearly as ridiculous as you indicate. Funny... the quoted is showing the number of coins that need to be bought to break upwards past 220... Was that me, "repeating how bid depth is less than ask, and "how far we'd panic crash" ("omg omg!") if everyone just dumped, for no apparent reason"?
