1041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] eGaaS: Electronic Government as a Service on: November 03, 2016, 03:33:33 PM
https://github.com/EGaaS/go-egaas-mvp/wiki/eGaaS-app-installation-instruction this is an istruction) Ask if something is not clear

Maybe add some more instructions for people using command line on linux-based systems.

Here is what I did on my xubuntu:
Code:
# install postgre as root
apt-get install postgresql-9.4
# switch to postgres user
su - postgres
# create a new user which I will use for egaas (and specify a password)
# replace <user> with the user name you chose
createuser -d -a -P <user>
# create a db for egaas
# replace <db> with the name you chose
createdb <db>

when I launched egaas, I could connect using the user and the db I created and the blockchain is now synchronizing.

By the way, don't forget:
Code:
chmod +x egaas_linux64
to launch egaas like this:
Code:
./egaas_linux64

Given the fact that you are asking people for money, it really would help to use an escrow, be it a reputable forum member who offers such a service or a reputable entity with which you have no ties. This will instigate trust and enourage people to invest.

1046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo ICO - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: October 27, 2016, 04:16:09 PM
About the notary nodes, a candidate quotes jl777 as having said:

Quote
A notary node will need to run all the assetchains and als DEX orderbook, also will be doing price feeds, RNG beacon and poker deck shuffling.

Can anyone refer me to where this have been said, please?

In case the quote indeed concerns Komodo notary nodes, I was wondering if a notary node will be doing all the mentioned above or will it have the choice to do some and not do some, can a notary node solely mine Komodo?

Assuming BB price is ~0.001 this represents about 2.2 BTC of value. I think it is good to put this in perspective. Doing any distribution would likely cost more than its value and not be economical.

If I'm not mistaken, it seems you assumed that you'll get 1 BB for 1 BTC, making it 2200+ BB for the 2200+ BTC the ICO has raised so far and with the assumed price of 0.001 BTC per BB you get 2.2+ BTC for the 2200+ BB.

The total supply of BB is 1015, of which 99% will be distributed to linked addresses. I'll let you do the math Smiley.

I like to hodl promising crypto, so likely would not sell at such a price and then maybe over time it becomes worth 10x more.

Yep, that's the spirit Wink.

1049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo ICO - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: October 26, 2016, 10:10:36 AM
I came across this post in the Byteball thread:

Regarding ICO wallets, I reached out to James (jl777) who is currently running Komodo ICO.  He replied that keeping the received bytes for himself he considers unethical, and he will use the bytes as additional funding for Komodo.

I'm quite happy with this decision and hope other ICO founders will also use their funds responsibly.

I was wondering if the byteballs would add up to one's BTC investment, meaning if an investor invests n BTC, and the n BTC get q BB, then the investor would be considered as having invested n+p BTC where p is the BTC equivalent of the q BB.

That would just complicate things. Should be used as free capital to further komodo.

Yep, I was also thinking that this would be complicated to set up ... I just wanted to know how the BBs will be used exactly (getting an official statement about it).
1050  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][rICO]Antshares Blockchain Mainnet is ONLINE! on: October 26, 2016, 10:02:00 AM
I don't understand why some people are selling at this ridiculous price, don't we buy at thesame ICO price and they decided to sell below the actual ICO price, I would have assumed this are bounty dumpers but the bounty tokens are not released yet

no most of the bounties are released, but the total sum is very small.

trading is on your own, sometimes there's sophisticated tactics involved.

Moreover, we didn't all buy at the same ICO price, there was a first ICO where people bought for 10k sats, and the first traders on yunbi also got ANS for way less than the second ICO price, so it might make sense for some to sell at these prices especially now that bitcoin is going up (fiat-wise). Having said that, they probably could have sold for more ... Others may sell for less than what they bought for and then re-buy for lesser to increase their ANS holdings or to make a BTC profit and keep their initial ANS.

1052  Economy / Scam Accusations / ZMining, a ZCash cloud mining service is a likely scam on: October 25, 2016, 08:39:34 AM
The self-moderated thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1639254.

The profiles of the users promoting it: malev, jogebe and mycoin744.

All of them seem to be the same user.

Hi,

What would make a potential buyer think that this mining service is legitimate? No offense intended to anyone, but I think anybody can create such a website and ask people for their money to purchase contracts in advance for a coin that is not yet minable ... Is there any information of any kind about this company that could make it (more) trustworthy for a potential buyer?

Thank you.

Given their registration date, last active date, posts, threads they post(ed) in, I believe malev, jogebe and mycoin744 are the same user. I'll be giving them a negative feedback for promoting a likely scam. I am prepared to remove my negative feedback if anyone of them comes froward and gives some explanations ...

1054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: October 18, 2016, 08:00:23 PM
I have recently read on a German blog that Byteball distribution will start somewhere in October or November. Are there any more closer details? When and how it will be conducted?

There has been a new announcement about the dates and the way the distribution will be carried out, check https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1608859.msg16569906#msg16569906 for the details.
1055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: October 18, 2016, 01:17:32 PM
So, basically, what you are confirming is that there is currently no way to specify an address for use for the ICO.  Correct?

Yep, linking your BTC address to your Byteball address is not yet possible. According to the last announcement:

3.  The linking phase (when you link your Byteball and Bitcoin addresses) of the 1st round will start in early December or late November.

You'll be able to test the linking in November:

6.  We’ll run a test flight of the distribution in November.  You will be able to link your Bitcoin testnet address to your Byteball testnet address, and the distribution will be proportional to your BTC testnet balance.

1058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] RoyalCoin - ROYAL on: October 15, 2016, 09:37:36 AM
all the bitcoin, novacoin, zerocoin, ppcoin related files that it contains were pushed 2 days ago, I doubt it was ever built. Some files still have other coins' names in them ....

i would say, if this is your biggest Problem, then is everything fine.
if i remind correct LiteCoin & DogeCoin share the same Genesis hash

however lets start from the Scratch. :-)
you know blackcoin, NovaCoin,PeerCoin,LiteCoin,Bitcoin

-you find bitcoin inside for the case that every Coin is a simple BitcoinClone
-you find LiteCoin inside the SourceCode for the reason that it is build from Bitcoin
-you find NovaCoin inside the sourcecode for the reason that it is build from LiteCoin
-you find BlackCoin inside the sourcecode for the reason that it is build from NovaCoin
-you find Peercoin inside the sourcecode for the reason that it is build from blackcoin.

aditional info .. you find in the Novacoin source still LTC remainings
- you find in the Blackcoin source still NVC and in the peercoin still BlackCoin

uhmmm so. ^^  i type so much text, that i forgot the reason for your Problem :-)
but yeah like i on the top allright said .. if this is the biggest/only Problem ..
then is everything fine.

kindly regards
Tillkoeln

edit: RoyalCoin has a Unique Genesishs hash ^^

very intresting post. i never knew that much. is that true?
just as an example ...

kaicrypzen are you there ?

Here I am Smiley, no rush Wink.

I might have not made my point clear, the issue is not royal coin being a clone of any other coins that are clones of others an so on until bitcoin ... The issue is that anyone can make a similar code base by cloning availablable repositories, and pushing everything 2 days ago with a comment that says "Hello World" (are you serious?).

Why would I trust a coin whose code base is 2 days old, contains no info in the readme or anywhere else, no total supply, no clear price/ICO instructions, sold on c-cex (like ncl and xmo ...), uses the same image as upiquoin, with a previous community manager who says it's a scam? I am asking but one thing, just give me one (and only one) reason to buy this Smiley.
1059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] RoyalCoin - ROYAL on: October 14, 2016, 05:05:46 PM
I am just getting paid for this job that's why I am doing this.

Well, if this turns out to be a scam, this'll give you some bad reputation. Maybe that's why doctor877 quit (got fired) (yet we don't know if they sold their account or what).

about the investment I would say Investment time is over. the coin is on trade now, this is Trading time now.
now you should see and follow the market, charts and walls, and maek your own discussion.

I may have used the wrong wording, what I meant by investing was buying ...

Given the facts and the lack of solid information, and unless some new information comes up and/or the devs make their case, I think this is a likely scam.

I am a bit confused though, I don't know if you deserve a negative feedback for being the community manager Smiley, you are (in a way) promoting it. I mean, given what we've discussed, don't you think this lacks basic trust foundation and has too many red flags for it to be legit?

(Of course if the account belongs to one of the scammers devs, my question is a nonsense Smiley)
1060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] RoyalCoin - ROYAL on: October 14, 2016, 04:24:00 PM
About the Escrow. I want to say the ICO is done (as I said in the OP). and the coin is in Exchange now.. so there is no sense in doing escrow anymore.

Yes indeed ... Yet all those coins whose ICO was held on c-cex that plummet to 1 sat ... By the way what's up with the prices and the amounts? Did we get any numbers concerning the total supply or the ICO price?

about the Source codes and white papter, I'll ask the Devs and update the OP. they must have the source codes... (as I said I've been hired as a community manager. I am not fully updated with that)

Edit:
Soruce code: https://github.com/royalnath/Royal

it is already in the OP.

Sorry to say, but that source code looks more like a joke than anything else, all the bitcoin, novacoin, zerocoin, ppcoin related files that it contains were pushed 2 days ago, I doubt it was ever built. Some files still have other coins' names in them ....

I think you must have some faith in this coin for being its community manager. Let's say I am a potential investor, can you give me any reason to invest in it?

and about my Trust feedback. I would ask you to read my feedback also(I've return to that guy). that feedback giving with a fake false reference and there is nothing truth about that.

Yes, I was a bit hasty about that, sorry.
