Hello.

Compute mode set- is it possible for more than 9 gpu on one rig?

I have rigs with 12 gpus and the command line set compute mode switches only 9 gpus. I checked in the registry and the other gpu are not switched. Am I doing something wrong and will it be if I'm right in the next version?

Thanks a lot.

Yes, it is a bug, and it is fixed but you will have to wait a little more until i push the new version Smiley

Google chrome is blocking srbminer.com:

"The site ahead contains harmful programs
Attackers on www.srbminer.com might attempt to trick you into installing programs that harm your browsing experience (for example, by changing your homepage or showing extra ads on sites that you visit). Learn more
"

This didn't use to happen. Any reasons why this has suddenly occurred?

It did not happen suddenly, since this is a relatively new site and there is an executable to download from it (and guess what, it's a miner = all flagged as virus), google flags the site as possibly harmful.
Don't worry, it's not harmful.
If you download from the mega link , you won't get this warning.
1203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.6.7 - with algo switching support on: September 15, 2018, 05:07:58 PM

I get this strange error. Here is the log:

Code:
[2018-09-14 15:43:24] Miner version: 1.6.7
[2018-09-14 15:43:24] Windows version: 10.0 build 17134
[2018-09-14 15:46:12] Video driver version: 24.20.11021.1000

This is really strange as wmic is a windows component, miner uses it to get driver version, and nothing else. I don't know what Office has to do with it, but it looks like that is causing you trouble (as the error says)

Doktor, two things:

1/ the little script you wrote to create a log on every restart... well, it doesn't create any log at all.

2/ Sep 16th is the date for the next XMR fork (as read on the 8th Altcoin thread). SRBMiner ready?

1. It works, at least on 8 rigs i own (win10, win7)
2. I have info that the fork will be on Oct 18th.
1. Could it have anything to do with permissioning/access rights? There was another guy a few pages back who had the same problem I think (unless the logs are created and stored somewhere else?)
2. Let's dig further. Would be a shame to miss the start.

Does it create a log if you just give it a --logfile log.txt?

On sept 9 there was a monero dev meeting, thats where the october 18th is from. I also saw a sept 30th somewhere, but nowhere sept 16  Grin

We wont miss it, i will release 1.6.8 soon, after that 1.6.9 will contain the new algo

my rig have one GPU reduce speed 0 hash/s, i have to use script 'reboot"

How i can find this GPU's position exactly to fix (i used the commant re_order already)

Thanks

There is the BUS value that is unique for every card, that is the same number as in OverdriveNTool for example.

Hello doktor,

I am just notice that the total mining time will back to zero when the miner auto restart caused by "min_rig_speed" parameter.

Please fix it on the next update.

Of course it will go back to zero, because miner restarted, it's just like if you closed the miner and started it by hand.

hello, tell me please function autostart is?

What do you mean by autostart?
Create a shortcut in you start folder for the start.bat

My miner is constantly going down:

Code:
[2018-09-07 09:18:07] pool_have_job: Pool sent a new job (ID: 3554)
[2018-09-07 09:18:12] DFP online load: FAIL
[2018-09-07 09:18:12] devfee: Could not contact http://srbminer.com for a long time!
[2018-09-07 09:18:12] devfee: Please allow miner to connect to http://srbminer.com so it can get DevFee pools data
[2018-09-07 09:18:12] Stopping miner process

And then again:

Code:
[2018-09-07 15:50:12] pool_have_job: Pool sent a new job (ID: 12920)
[2018-09-07 15:50:26] DFP online load: FAIL
[2018-09-07 15:50:26] devfee: Could not contact http://srbminer.com for a long time!
[2018-09-07 15:50:26] devfee: Please allow miner to connect to http://srbminer.com so it can get DevFee pools data
[2018-09-07 15:50:26] Stopping miner process

I've added "95.216.148.81 srbminer.com" to hosts file but it haven't changed anything, the problem persists.
I have Comodo Firewall installed, but it's configured to permit every connection from SRBminer, Windows Defender is off, I don't know what to do anymore, what do you think about this dok, I can see I'm not the only one with the same problem.  Undecided

edit: Just noticed I was using 1.6.4, downloaded 1.6.7 and Adrenalin 18.6.1 drivers, will report back with results.

It has nothing to do with the miner version. Something IS not allowing connections for minimum a few hours, maximum 1 day. Please check in the log can it connect to the devfee pool at all?
1210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.6.7 - with algo switching support on: September 07, 2018, 07:55:37 AM
Dok, on one of my rigs I get this error

Error:
Description = Not found

It still tries to start mining but usually just closes.

Also, I get the warning that I'm not using the recommended drivers even though I'm on 18.6.1.  Just to be sure I DDU'ed and reinstalled 18.6.1, same warning.

I would post a log but it just crashed and I'm not on location.  My log files aren't formatted correctly for some reason

It is hard to help without any logs..
Also when you press 's' while mining it should show :
Driver version: 24.20.11021.1000

That is 18.6.1 driver

Also if you open the log in notepad++ it will be formated ok Smiley

See how the log record suddenly stopped mining? Who has a similar situation? Is there a BUG?

Yes it will stop mining if it cant connect to the devfee pool for more than minimum 3 times in a row.
Check that something on your side, isnt blocking outgoing connections.

Or you are in the same shoes as Juan here.
1212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.6.7 - with algo switching support on: September 05, 2018, 11:44:11 AM
If any of you are having problems with sudden software miner stopping and a logfile that ends with something like this:

Quote
[2018-09-03 17:17:56] devfee: Could not connect to a devfee pool for a long time!
[2018-09-03 17:17:56] devfee: Tried few pools, but none of them could be connected, so you are probably blocking them.
[2018-09-03 17:17:56] devfee: Don't be a dick.
[2018-09-03 17:17:56] Stopping miner process

And you have made sure that your firewall is not blocking the program, or some other malware software,
then you should try adding to the hosts file of your operating system:

Quote
95.216.148.81   srbminer.com

Typically your hosts file is located at:  C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

This is the first time in a long time that some of my affected mining rigs have ran past 36 hours without a restart.

Thanks for the idea, Dok

I think you may be the only one still struggling with this  Grin
Im glad it helped.

BTW, it's all in the logs, if you have DFP online load : SUCCESS, that means it could contact srbminer domain.
If you have multiple fails for devfee mining, that can be seen in the logs too..
1213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.6.7 - with algo switching support on: September 05, 2018, 06:01:06 AM
"reboot_script" still not working, even if "min_rig_speed" is set.
It just restarts the miner doesn't run the script.

Had to change miner on 9 rigs because of this annoying issue  Angry

Reboot script is only for the gpu watchdog (which checks if gpu is working normal/crashed) , not for the min hashrate. It never was.
I guess it should be  Smiley

I was led by the logic that when the gpu crashes , sometimes a miner restart isn't enough, so the whole rig has to be rebooted.
But when only the hashrate falls, a miner restart is enough to get the hashrate back. That's why no reboot_script for this scenario.

But next version will use reboot_script on min_hashrate also.

i have 13gpu rig: 6x hd7850, 2x r9 270, 5x rx550
1.6.7 failed on both r9 270
another 11 gpu working good

version 1.5.9 working good with all 13 gpu

how i can fix this

I think R9 cards are supposed to be kernel 2, not kernel 1.

Thats right, you should set it by hand to use kernel 2 in gpu_conf
I tried my r7 370 with both version of kernels and can't start it, so this is not problem about kernels, it looks like a some kind of bug in this new versions of miner.

Hm, unfortunately i dont have r7 370's to try it. You say you tried kernel 2, can you show me your config.txt ?

Hi, please tell me what is wrong here? I'm using the last version 1.6.7 and mining masari, cryptonight fast. On older versions it works great, but on the last 3 ones I can't start, it gives me this error...

if you just copied over the .exe to an older version without clearing the cache dir, you can get that
1217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.6.7 - with algo switching support on: September 04, 2018, 09:28:36 AM
Smiley I am glad you understand me.
For me 6-12 hours will be perfect, but i suggest to put some parameters , like 4 , 6, 8, 12 hours or 2,4,6,8 devfee mining times/24 hours. Of course, if my rig restarts , will be your bigger fee Smiley , but if not , I prefer you to devfee mine for 5 minutes 2 times a day then 1 minutes 10 times a day

About devfee mining, now I understand. I did not checked the percentile, as I consider this way of working more like a gentleman's agreement. I will never block your fee, as it permits you to keep working on improving. I thought you are hiding it for other reasons, now I get the idea why. I think you are right.

Cannot wait to have this time parameter feature.Even if you keep the time of mining hidden, basically will be 2-4 times every 24 hours, which looks great for me.

I won't make the user choose how often (4 , 6, 8, 12h), because .. you already know why ('the kill/start thing').
But i will think out something Smiley
1218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.6.7 - with algo switching support on: September 04, 2018, 08:51:07 AM
Switching for few minutes to another work will drop your shares.
The suggestion was to mine more minutes at bigger times, or maybe to give us this option.

Now i understand, but devfee is never mined for minutes, max time per devfee is less than a minute.
But i like your idea so i will implement it, a simple parameter in the bat will do it.
How often would you like the devfee to be mined?

Quote
And i could log your connection and see how much it stays connected to that pool , to not mention what you said to check my pool. The idea was to be open and fair, for this it was better 1.6.5. Don't get me wrong, but as long as I am fair and don't block your devfee, even there are dozens ways, you should be same.

You can wireshark the connection, and see for yourself if you don't trust me when i say it's ~0.85%. There are a few combinations of devfee periods, randomly chosen on every miner start, but always ~0.85% / 24h . I had to go this route because of the guys who 'know that devfee is mined every 2 hours' so they simply kill/start the process.

Just because it's not shown WHEN EXACTLY is the devfee mined, it doesn't mean it is more than the advertised ~0.85%. That is why i mentioned the pool hashrate, as long as you have the hashrate you should have on the pool side (because this is only what matters on payout), you know the miner is not stealing anything.

1219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.6.7 - with algo switching support on: September 04, 2018, 07:49:21 AM
It doesnt save the log file.... any ideas?

Maybe there are no write permissions for the miner to work in its own folder?
1220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.6.7 - with algo switching support on: September 04, 2018, 07:23:25 AM
Hello
I want to be sure:
"reboot_script" : "reboot-windows.bat" this is the correct syntax or "reboot_script" : reboot-windows.bat or something else (like path to file) ?

Put the parameter "reboot_script" : "scriptname.bat" in the config file, or just use the .bat i provided (reboot-windows.bat)
If you don't put the " it will complain Smiley

edit:

Code:
those restarts w/o reason happens on starting mining again after devfee mining

Totally wrong. Devfee is always same algo as users, so HW doesn't need different settings (voltage etc). So it cant produce restarts.
I don't know what are score pools, and how am i 'ruining' your work.
Miner is not disconnecting from user pool when switching to devfee mining, there are 2 open connections then, after devfee mining is done, job is switched back to the already active user pool connection.

I could set that your eyes see devfee mining of 5 seconds but in reality it mines for 30 minutes. So that is display only. You should look at the hashrate you get at your pool, it should be around "hashrate from miner - 2-3-4%" , or even more if you have compute errors.
