I don't think Livada means bad. He wants doktor to keep track of mining time globally, so *every* restart does not cause early dev fee. There's definitely a language barrier here.

I agree this would be the best option, and maybe doktor could do something like every restart pulling the devfee switch 15 minutes earlier, or whatever would please him. Having said that, a global / non destructive way of keeping dev fee times require doktor to spend time on some security features because one could easily overwrite logs / configs / env variables to trick SRB to make it 0 fee, so he'd have to spend time on how not to get "cracked" so easily, he'd have to come up with a secure method of keeping that time dependable and in check (that the system time wasn't fiddled with etc etc.), a gazillion things to take care about..

For coin switchers, when or if SRB supports native coin switching through its own watchdog, restarting the miner etc, doktor could do a fairer approach, like every coin switching pulling the dev fee 10/20 minutes earlier. The watchdog would keep time of the dev fee.

But it's all up to Doktor, it's his work, dev time is a limited resource.

Name me one miner that mines devfee this way. Just one Smiley

dok. why miner after 4 min go on dev fee

V1.6.3
- Reorganised devfee mining, first mining is in the first 15 minutes, so to maintain the 0.85% fee, decreased devfee time from 1 minute to 55 seconds every 2 hours

If you just want to test you can use the benchmarking in 1.6.5

this is 4 minut not 15 min.

And i on-off 30-50 time on day.
u use dev fee  alwys start miner? i start miner 5 time in 1 hour and u use dev fee 4* in 1 hour?

in the first 15 minutes. 4 min is in the first 15 min Smiley
People used scripts to kill process at 1.59h and start it again, so no devfee. I had to make this move, like other closed source miners.
All the next devfee's are shorter now to compensate that 1 extra devfee, and they run every 2 hours like before.

ok. but i not mining 1 coin 10 day. i mining 5 coin in 1 hour. if your miner alwys use dev fee when i start miner i give you 20% dev fee per day. not 0,85.

same applies to claymore which mines in the first 15 minutes, and all the other mining software that works this way.
So if you used to change 5 coins in 1 hour that means you never even got to the devfee mining for me, so you did not give the 0.85% too. Right?

i dont now. this is your poroblem not my. you must have timer clock in miner. you dev not i.

and your miner now use again my money. this is big SHIT.

i kil proces and start miner work 1 min. go use dev fee every 30min. now u use  fee non stop when i start miner. tihs is ok but when i start miner after 5 min  miner must  know  this is second start in 5 min and must wait 1:55 hour for next dev fee..your srb file must know how log i use minner.

1.6.2 have litle HR but i not pay dev fee 20%. i back in 1.6.2

haha so it looks like to me you are one of those i made this change against, you never really let the miner get to the 2 hour devfee mining. Now that means i never got the fee i do all the work for with this miner.
No miner works the way you would like.
So you go back to 1.6.2 and use it again the way so i dont get the fee.
Thank you, its nice of you.

MoX mining has just started!

Jump on the train and get as much coins as you can, difficulty is still low.

Example:

pools.txt

{
"pools" :
[
  {
   "pool" : "mox.optimusblue.com:5555",
   "wallet" : "your-wallet",
   "password" : "x",
   "pool_use_tls" : false,
   "nicehash" : false
  }
]
}

config.txt:

{
"cryptonight_type" : "mox",
"intensity" : 0,
"double_threads" : true
}

V1.6.5

since version 1.6.4 one of my gpus from one of my rigs crashing every 2-6 hours and miner hangs during try to restart. But miner not hangs like process and cursor just blinks but it can't be terminated by windows task manager and my mining watch program thinks that miner is workin'. Helps only restart of the windows. It happens 2-4 times per 24 hours

logs - https://nofile.io/f/QXHAjB0d25W/log.txt

Hey Doc, please look at my post

i saw it but you say its one gpu on one rig (so on other rigs is ok). Maybe try to lower the intensity for that one card?

What is a recommended intensity/worksize for RX570 4GB cards on CNv7?

54/8/2 should be ok
1351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.6.5 on: August 02, 2018, 05:07:57 AM
Hey, really great miner, i use it since 1.5 and i'm very happy with it Cheesy
Best miner so far for any AMD cards i've, R series and RX series.

Recently i've downloaded the new 1.6.5 miner version and tried to add the nicehash additional parameter to my pools.txt file but it seems to not work correctly.
Everytime i try to add the nicehash parameter, the miner can't found correct pool configuration.

pools.txt file Like this:
{
  "pools" :
  [
     {"pool" : "pool_1_address", "wallet" : "pool_1_wallet", "password" : "x", "nicehash" : "true"}
  ]
}

Any idea what's going on or what am i maybe doing wrong ?

Hi, thanks for the kind words Smiley

Don't put quotes around boolean values (true, false), so it will be :

{
  "pools" :
  [
     {"pool" : "pool_1_address", "wallet" : "pool_1_wallet", "password" : "x", "nicehash" : true}
  ]
}

V1.6.5
- Added support for Cryptonight Red (MoX Project)
- Added possibility to offline benchmark algo configuration (--runbenchmark)
- Easily switch all AMD cards to compute mode, and turn off crossfire with one command (--setcomputemode)
- If using Blockchain drivers, hashing speed should be like it was before in ver 1.6.2
- If using Adrenaline 18.7.1 now shares are found, but speed is slower than on the recommended drivers
- If giveup_limit set to 0, miner will quit if it can't connect to pool
- Added driver version data to API
- Miner is now just one executable file, no more dll's needed, so it's more portable

+ MoX coin will soon launch it's main net, get prepared (use algo 'mox')

+ Added parameters --runbenchmark and --benchmarkduration, which gives you the possibility to benchmark your settings offline, so you don't need to connect to a pool.
Just set up everything as usual and add --runbenchmark parameter in your start.bat. The test is by default 1 minute, but you can set a custom duration, max 3 minutes. (in seconds of course)

+ No more need for compute switching software, you can do it now easily from SRBMiner. Fire up a command prompt in admin mode and run :

SRBMiner-CN.exe --setcomputemode

It will find all your AMD cards and set them to compute mode, and also disable crossfire on them. Nice and elegant.

+ Version 1.6.3 and 1.6.4 introduced some optimisations for Vega cards, which work only 18.3.4 and 18.6.1 drivers, but make some trouble with the old BC drivers. Miner now tries to apply old kernel (from v1.6.2) when using BC drivers, so there should be no more problem with these drivers, but no speed up like on 18.3.4 or 18.6.1 drivers.

+ Guys using 18.7.1 drivers complained no shares were found with these drivers, now this is fixed, but hashing is a lot slower, sorry. Don't use 18.7.1 drivers, or if you need to , just settle with the less speed you get.

+ Merged all dll's within one executable file, so the miner is now more portable as it contains all the files it needs to run. Just one .exe

Hi everyone, I´m testing with my vega 56@64 bios, and after some adjust i have 2050 h constant but when I check to nanopool, it show my worker offline with 0 hashrate, I was minig several hours, for about six hours, I´m connect with ssl secure connection port 14433,I test with xmr stak and cast and nanopool show laagging but at least I can see my worker...

driver version ?
also do you have accepted shares in miner?

I Have the last version, adrenaline 18.7.1 (no blockchain) I think the miner show all Share acepted. Now I change to cast miner, later i will try again. Could check with my wallet if my gain are ok?

Read the first page, it says dont use 18.7.1  Smiley

so i have a question folks .yesterday i updated miner 1.6.4
now today on the minerrocks the pool dont accept my hashes after 1 hour but the miner was still running no issue.i thought it was a fault of the pool. switched to hashvault and there is every hour or so connection failed notification coming.again miner terminal looks normal.no invalid shares on pool side.the 1,3,6 hour avarage hashrate seems correct.
anybody else with the same experience?

can you provide a log file ?

I'm testing the latest version of 32t. Driver 18.3.4, rx588, everything works fine. But the leader on the hasht still remains version 31f

its cool but this is not the jce thread

Hi,
Rig :  4 x Vega 64 / 2 x Vega 56 / 2 x RX 580 8gb
Amd Drivers : 18.6.1

I tried with low intensity, high intensity, even auto intensity and after few minutes of mining i am getting this :

Mining works with CastXMR.
Can anyone help ?

use latest version

But on miner's thread, the dev says : "Don't use Adrenaline 18.7.1 drivers"

yes, dont use it its buggy. but you wrote 18.6.1 not 18.7.1

Yes, i am using 18.6.1
How can i get SRB Miner work ?
Thanks

i meant use latest version of miner. try with 18.3.4 drivers

solve trouble with variable rate rx 560 4 gb card on heavy

12 gpu rig work with 4 gb ram and 60 gb swap. rig work but with variable rate
change swap to 90 gb and rate stable high

thanks for this info, i will put it on first page in tips. 90gb insane for 12x4gb Smiley
