1461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.6.2 on: July 04, 2018, 10:18:26 AM
Guys,

first, thanks to all that didn't care and made fun of me when I reported missing hashrate problem. I tried hard to explain that the cast-xmr and srbminer report incorrect or inconsistent hashrate, for example my vega rigs are hashing up to 20% less on the pool than what the miner reports, just to be stomped by armada of forumeers who try to teach me basic math, finally, I was advised to find another miner if I don't like this one - and I did

last few days I tried new  miner called JCE, the guy just made a beta version for GPUs, and my Vegas not only hash better than SRBminer (7xVega 56 14350) but every single hash is counted by the pool properly. This leads me to conclusion that srb and cast have issues with counting or are reporting false hashrate. I will now support new guy and his miner.

If doktor83 ever cares to fix this problem, I will be happy to provide support and more details.

Have fun and enjoy your mining

I am glad you finally found something that is working for you.
But please, next time don't come back just to advertise another miner.
It's a very very pertinent and valid observation however.
Especially since JCE is claiming a lot of devs "cheat" with their closed-source miners. If his miner's hashrate coincides with what the pools report - and SRB, Cast etc do not - there is a problem, isn't there?

Someone who works on a closed source miner says that closed source miners cheat and steal, ironic Smiley
As always, i say : nobody forces you to use SRBMiner, if you think something is not ok, don't use it Smiley

V1.6.2

- Fixed miner crash when using a non AES capable CPU on some algos

- Added info about CPU AES support in log

have aes kernel error on rx550 card 2gb

don't copy this version over older ones, or if you do, delete .srb files.
1463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.6.2 on: July 04, 2018, 09:49:32 AM
V1.6.2
- Added support for Italocoin new algo (from block 55.000)
- Auto intensity for Vega cards improved, also managed to increase hashing speed on Vega cards for about ~1-1.5% (mainly on heavy algos)
- If user uses non existing GPU id in gpu_conf, it will be ignored, no error will be thrown
- Fixed miner crash when using a non AES capable CPU on some algos
- Added Windows version and build in log
- Added video driver version in log
- Added info about CPU AES support in log
- Statistics now shows number of stale shares that were accepted by pool
- Added parameter 'min_rig_speed_duration' that can set period for 'min_rig_speed' parameter (minimum is 30 sec), default is 5 min

+ I finally bought a Vega 56 card, so in the next releases i will try to improve the performance for Vegas. For now a little speedup of about 1-1.5% is achieved, mainly on Heavy based algos (Heavy, Haven, Bittube, Italo)

+ If you use a non existant id in gpu_conf, it will now be ignored, only id's that exist in your system will be used

+ There was a bug in soft AES that caused miner crash on Stellite and Haven algos, this is now fixed

+ Added accepted stale shares number in statistics. It can't know the number of real accepted stale shares on pool side, but the logic is simple, if a new job is received, but the miner sends a result in the mean time that is for the previous job, and this share gets accepted by the pool, miner will treat this like an accepted stale share.

+ min_rig_speed_duration can set the time you want to check the average hashrate for 'min_rig_speed' parameter. Default is 5 min.

Looks really nice and all compliments for the system!

Do you have donation page because the system is free?
I suggesting that you should add old AMD drivers for the older GPU R series.

Anyways, very good job!

all old wallets are still valid.
great, but srbminer 1.6.1 still tells me "could not login user to pool, try again" at mining.bit.tube and ipbc.iccob.com Sad all settings are the same. Just changed srbminer 1.6.0 (IPBC) to 1.6.1 (bittubev2).

config.txt:

{
"cryptonight_type" : "bittubev2",
"intensity" : 0,
"double_threads" : true

}

pools.txt:

I wanted to push 1.6.2 today but it looks like it will be postponed, i have to check what has changed from 1.6.0 to 1.6.1 that could produce that crash.
The problem is i can't reproduce that on any of my rigs, and i have win7, win8 and win10 rigs  Roll Eyes
1468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.6.1 on: July 01, 2018, 08:11:23 PM
Is this occuring on v7 or heavy algo?
1469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.6.1 on: July 01, 2018, 07:14:33 PM
It seems there's an issue with Haven Algorithm and V1.6.1

The miner crashes.

Tested on 2 rigs, same problem

No issue with V1.6.0
Same problem here.
1.6.0 works on Haven, 1.6.1 not.

windows version, driver version, config file and log would be more helpful.

Windows 10 Pro (1709)
AMD Drivers 18.3.4

Thats more like it thanks. Have you tested it on some other pool maybe? Is it always after 1-2 jobs or sometimes it works longer?
1470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.6.1 on: July 01, 2018, 06:43:00 PM
How can we test this with testnet pool ?
My 1.6.1 doesn't seems recognize "cryptonight_type" : "bittubev2",

{
/* Type can be : normal, normalv7, lite, litev7, heavy, ipbc, artocash, alloy, marketcash, b2n  */
"cryptonight_type" : "bittubev2",
"intensity" : 0,
"double_threads" : true
}

Miner says :
cryptonight_type can be : [normal, normalv7, lite, litev7, heavy, ipbc, artocash, alloy]

That is not 1.6.1. Download 1.6.1 from here : http://www.srbminer.com/downloads/SRBMiner-CN-V1-6-1.zip

When using an unkown algo, this is what you get on 1.6.1 :
cryptonight_type can be : [normal, normalv7, lite, litev7, heavy, bittubev2, artocash, alloy, marketcash, b2n, stellitev4, haven, fast]

Doctor, maybe you add in statistics effective speed (accepted by pool)? To prevent questions about differenece between miner speed and pools speed.

Those questions can never be prevented, no matter what i do to the miner.
All i can say is that the miner is not showing fake or higher values just to make the miner happy.
I am sure everyone knows what is the best for him, and if it's switching to another mining software, i am ok with that, i can't force anyone to use SRBMiner Smiley

1475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.6.1 on: June 28, 2018, 08:20:06 AM

Still same situation unfortunately

start with  --adldisable
with series R9 2xx,3xx it helps

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately no improvement.

sorry i have no idea, i tried on win7 and win10 machines and it's working ok.

Try this, if you have in start.bat:

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 1

change to :

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0

I tried to mine Stellite with the 1.6.1 but the miner crashes after 1 or 2 jobs sent from the pool. Any idea what can cause this?

Also sometimes with regular v7 my rig stops sending shares, I won't get any errors and new jobs keep coming from pool but no result are sent back and it can go on for hours.

just fixed this issue with jobs received but no results, some pools send blob 77 bytes instead of 76, it will be fixed in the next version in a few days.
One of these pools is etn.spacepools.org, please send me other pools with this same problem so i can test/verify the fix.

Regarding stellite, give me the pool and port so i can try.

Ah yes, it was etn.spacepools.org which I had issues with.

Regarding Stellite I used eu.XTL.CryptoPool.Space:7777

ok i am mining 5 minutes on eu.XTL.CryptoPool.Space:7777 got 7 new jobs, but no crash, everything fine.
Does it crash for you every time?

Yes, it crashes every time. Do you have any idea how to troubleshoot this issue?

turn on log file (add --logfile log.txt in .bat after the existing parameters), and please make a screenshot of this situation you described

Does anyone can use high intensiity 100-110+ on 1.6.1 CN-v7 algo without speed drops?
No one tries CN-v7 on 1.6.1. on 8Gb cards? With intensity higher 100-110?

I use 118 intensity dual threads on 8gb cards CN-V7
I'm talking about 1.6.1 version. You post screen from 1.6.0. On 1.6.0 I can use 110+ intensity with 2 threds without problems too. But on 1.6.1 I have speed drops to 0 if intensity higher 99.

I also feel there is some changes for intensity in CN-V7, normally with previous version my intensity 72 got stable hash rate, now with 1.6.1 got up and down hash rate.
Intensity 72 in 1.6.1 is especcial!!! It got speed to jump down to 875 and up to 1250. But average is still 925. On 1.6.0 with intensity 108 I has 985 on this card. But on 1.6.1 with intensity 108 I have speed 980 and drops to 0 so average speed is 600-700...

I never could go intensity 110 and 2 threads (that would mean you are using around 7GB vram). I even cant go over 65 with 2 threads cause video driver hangs instantly (blockchain drivers). So i am curious which drivers, clocks and straps are you guys using.
I have about 12x580 8g and a few more 570 8g, 470 8g cards and none of them does this crazy hash jumping you described in 1.6.1. So i really don't know what to think.
