2121  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What's up with Bittrust.org? on: February 06, 2019, 07:35:12 PM
For the same reason as the users above, I also don't like the site as it implies how uncredible the reviews are, but you don't really search for reviews in one site, you have to widen your sources 'cause tbh anyone can fake a review in most sites, bittrust just allows you do it way way more easily.
2122  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Placed Bitmain order before knowing about KYC - ?? on: February 06, 2019, 05:18:53 PM
Op in the first place shouldn't be allowed to place an order 'cause that's basically trapping users :v

I'm not sure about the refund as it says it will not be entertained on the s15's payment section. Still would be best to contact their support about this, you might get an exception.

4. Special Provision: After an order has been submitted, a request to cancel the order, refund any part of the ordered amount or change the ordered item(s) to different items(s) or different batch(es) WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED by Bitmain. We advise you to make any purchase only after consideration.
2123  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinpulse shutting down as well on: February 05, 2019, 03:21:29 AM
Welp. Never heard of this and the above users seemed to be on the same boat so I'm thinking that its not just the bear market but the lack of promotion must've played a part too.

Oof a week is too short, I'm guessing they wanna get as much money as they can before everything goes down. I'm pretty sure, users who are not able to withdraw their funds within that time frame will exist, I wonder if they will still be here to cater them, when that time comes 🤔
2124  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any good website for crypto developers and freelancers for hire? on: February 04, 2019, 07:30:32 PM
There are crypto-focused platforms but I can't say they're good 'cause most I've seen are either empty or has a serious problem of inactive users. I'm not saying you shouldn't use them just not rely on them too much, best course would be to use it and the general type.

Also, can you elaborate what do you mean by "narrow selection of professionals for cryptocurrency only?" 'cause most sites has some filters you could toggle which should help you.
2125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin = Nerd money or not? on: February 04, 2019, 12:32:10 PM
Imo a "nerd" is just someone who has a heavy interest/knowledgeable to field but the media/shows portrayed them in a stereotypical way, which is someone who's again knowledgeable in some field (typically something that involves technology) but is socially awkward, fat, unattractive, wears glasses, hence why the term is derogatory to some ppl, but I do think we're way passed that. I've been seeing some ppl declaring themselves as "nerds" and there are even articles praising them. I'm pretty sure they meant "nerd" not in the stereotypical way, if not all, most.

As for the nerd money label, I am agreeing to op and it could also be the misconception that only tech-savvies are able to use it. Additionally there's more to bitcoin than paypal, one should at least understand the basics to fully utilize it, which could be overwhelming to some ppl.
2126  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Can a new crypto exchange take a place in the market? on: February 02, 2019, 02:54:42 PM
Quote from: spacelab
is it already monopolized and new projects and busineses are doomed in the whole industry?

Ofc not, If thats true, no one would bother starting projects and businesses, and that applies in general. A business isn't just about launching it as it is not steady, there are ups and downs, therefore profits gained won't be stable.

To give you an example, have a look at binance, they entered the market in 2017 (based from whois data) and still managed to be on the top (or one of the top?) and there was a time when most ppl use poloniex and bittrex which is the opposite of now. But then again, binance had the money to start which most new exchange lacks.
2127  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Steps to take listing an ERC20-token on decentralized exchange? on: February 01, 2019, 01:05:37 PM
There's little to no listing fee when its comes to dexes.

For the information you're looking for, each exchange provides it on their site/sns.

2128  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I cannot make trades or send it back to my biance what do I do? on: January 31, 2019, 07:20:10 PM
Yeahh, you've been scammed.

  • BINANCE will never ask you to send money to any address for any reason. If someone asks you to do this, they are trying to scam you and they should be ignored. Report these users to an administrator privately.
  • BINANCE shall not ping user privately, and shall not ask user about account name, password and 2FA at all.
  • If user met outstanding issues, BINANCE support will suggest user to submit a ticket in BINANCE official site and expose ticket number only;

Contacting the authorities is an option tho, maybe they could track the phone call. I just hope the call didn't came from any sns..

Binance including us the community could only give you advice on how to prevent this from happening again. Bitcoin is irreversible, its final once sent and the scammers may have already hid their traces so that gives you low chance of recovering your funds.

Have a read of this security tips from them. Also, don't blindly trust anyone, they could always lie. As tmfp's signature states, "Extraordinary Claims require Extraordinary Evidence"
2129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why not crowd fund a reward for the Killer Bitcoin App of the year? on: January 31, 2019, 04:20:05 PM
Yes, most ppl won't give out their money unless there is an individual benefit. But it doesn't have to be monies, I think an exclusive perk(s) will do? Like putting up some tiers and the higher the tier the greater the perk(s). The problem is what perks? 🤔.

Or do it the other way:

>get ppl to present their idea
>vote
>pick the winner(s)
>kickstart it

Ofc It would still need some kind of promotion.

2130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Vacationa and Bitcoin on: January 31, 2019, 02:57:54 PM
I was looking for some photos that can prove those places are being visited by OP though its easy to send some pictures caming from the internet (i am not saying that this is a lie just wanna find more realistic)

I doubt you can find proofs for that since op didn't post anything we could base on, like if they posted some pics, we could've done reverse image search. Hence why I could only dug infos about if these places really exist and if they're really accepting bitcoin.

I do understand your point tho, also crossed my mind. The fact that its all text bothers me, but I'm not gonna jump to conclusions unless I have a strong evidence. and this post made me aware of these places, too so that's a good thing, but ofc I wouldn't like it if op lied.

Quote
Since there’s a thread that almost same as this but OP didn’t mentioned if he Literally use bitcoin to pay the vacation, heres the thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5100141.0

It would've been mentioned if they paid bitcoin directly for their whole trip since that's another great story, I doubt the op in that post would overlook it.

They're similar in a sense that both "trip" and "bitcoin" played a big part but I wouldn't say "almost the same".
2131  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Comic - Volume #1 on: January 30, 2019, 04:19:55 AM
What format are your digital comic copies normally?

Its either cbz/cbr, pdf or epub. I don't think there is a significant diff when it comes to quality so the best course would be to offer an option for users to pick which format they want. My personal preference would be cbz tho!

Quote from: Bitcoin2theEnd
How much of the comic do you think I should release, i was thinking a couple of pages.

Just enough to capture your readers. Maybe try picking an interesting scene?

Quote from: Bitcoin2theEnd
Can/should I put it on here, the instructions contain images. Would love for people to go over it and give me feedback. Thanks

You can but Infographics tends to occupy so much space in threads, I would advice you to just paste the direct links here.

and I see you're not getting many responses, try moving your thread to Project Development
2132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Vacationa and Bitcoin on: January 29, 2019, 11:44:42 AM
Oooo cool! Not gonna lie, I haven't used bitcoin in physical stores. So how did the whole process go? How many confirmations were needed until your payment was recognized? How long did wait?

I haven't been to thailand nor heard of those places, so I had to search if op is actually telling the truth and yes, they do accept bitcoin. Gonna leave the links here in case someone is the same as me.

2133  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What do you think, will running a site like this be profitable ? on: January 29, 2019, 10:36:42 AM
Not gonna lie, the subdomain doesn't look pleasant in the eyes. If you wanna earn, you need to make everything professional looking and that means spending money upfront, avoid any free web hosting service.

and yes, please just explain your business model in through details here. you'll be able to gather more opinions that way.
2134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: JP Morgan analysts predict continuous sinking on BTC prices on: January 28, 2019, 06:29:02 AM
Lmfao this guy literally said its a fraud back in Sept. 2017 when the price was at $4K and then took it back in jan 2018 saying that "blockchain is real", "I regret making that comment".

Oof, I wonder how many of these "analyst" has bothered looking up information and have an understanding of the basics 🤔🤔🤔
2135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Predict the price of crypto currencies and get a chance to win up to 1M TRON. on: January 25, 2019, 11:58:36 PM
Hey thanks for responding,We will set a price for prediction and users need to select yes or no.

Wouldn't that put you at a disadvantage? 'cause the chances of someone predicting the price accurately is very low, users who will vote "no" has like 90% chance of winning.

yes we won't collect any fees from users.

How are you going to earn then? Surely you would still need funds to maintain the site plus promotion particularly since its new

I have seen your merit may be you can work for us to build trust

Sorry but I have no intention of involving myself to unknown service/team. And please please, build your reputation in an honest way 🙏
2136  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Comic - Volume #1 on: January 25, 2019, 12:05:19 PM
I was planning on only making 21 physical copies and releasing the rest as digital copies.
Do you think people would prefer a physical copy rather than digital?

In my case, I prefer digital most of the time 'cause its cheaper, easier to store and you can get it instantly. I rarely buy the physical copy of a series which I haven't read, it is mostly those which gained a soft spot in my heart.

I am not an illustrator. I have paid a guy to draw the first 2 pages that should be completed in the next 4 days. I will add them to this post once received.

A teaser is definitely needed, provide as much info as possible of what can we expect, particularly on the physical copy like the dimensions, hard or softbound, etc..
Also, you may wanna make your KS page more catchy in the eye by adding images, but yeahh that would cost more money  Cry
2137  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: looking for help here with a possible scam on: January 22, 2019, 10:30:49 PM
Yes this has been going on for a long time now. And it is indeed a blatant scam but ppl are still falling for it so maybe it wasn't "blatant" in their eyes? The reason for that could be because they do not know what these scammers are talking about. So the best course here would be "to know", particularly if you're planning to stay with bitcoin, better understand the basics. You can start here, its light: https://bitcoin.org/en/faq

Anyone could lie so if you see a random dude in the internet claiming this and that, you gotta need some proof, otherwise don't believe it. The instagram and email add can be easily fake, not counted. Blockchain.com in the first place won't recruit users manually.

Quote from: Fancium
Fancium is a free prediction platform where users compete for monthly prize pool by predicting various markets like sports and crypto.

Question! How will you choose the winner? Do they have to predict the price exactly or you'll just pick the closest one? I hope its the latter as the former is pretty much close to unattainable, or is there a twist on it? like the price pool increases everytime no one got the right price. I wouldn't suggest going on that path tho, 'cause it would be a major trust issue.

Also, you said its a "free platform", so you won't take fees? or did I misunderstood it?

Another thing, it seems you guys are new to the market, is there anything that could make users feel you're trustable?
2139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Soulja Boy says BTC is done on: January 22, 2019, 06:24:45 PM
Ayyy, This guy probably just salty 'cause things didn't end up the way he wanted to. And his song about bitcoin is terrible, he is definitely shilling it lmao. I wonder if that was his last hope.

“It’s a gamble. You’re not going to get the same returns as you would if you had gotten in on it early because it became mainstream and everybody know about Bitcoin now.”

And this is wrong, the more mainstream it gets, the better.

I know a lot about This because I'm a user. The team is also friendly and made me part of their signature campaign before. Would like to know why should I disclose this. Its an honest thread wanting people to know about their impression about the wallet. I am wanting to find more since I'm not familiar in more technical side of this wallet.

Regardless of whether you're just a grateful happy user or paid for ad, you need to tone down your "hodler posts" cause its backfiring, making your words less credible.

If you wanna know more about the technical side, state it in the post and I suggest moving this to Alternative clients . This isn't a web wallet.
