@OP do they require you to undergo KYC?  I believe that is one of the possible solution to your problem, withdrawal is locked until you have done what they had requested.  There are cases where withdrawal is suspended and gets approved once they do KYC verification.

I feel you are hiding something in yout post and somehow I feel your story is incomplete.  In most cases, problem like this is solved via KYC verification.

666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BNB is in x-hairs, is this good opportunity to retrieve my funds locked for yrs? on: December 22, 2022, 01:42:33 PM
They're approachable as per my experience and if you've been struggling retrieving your account. With all of the FUD that you're seeing, this is the right time to work on it.

Keep on contacting them and provide any other alternative information that they might ask you like IDs or whatsoever because aside from facial recognition, there are for sure other ways of validating that you own that account you try to retrieve.

I kinda agree with you.  It is a clever idea to push the issue and fix it right.  Since The Binance  exchange is in the hot sit, they might chose to be lenient this time and make it easy for you to access your account @OP.  Don't be shy  approaching their staff besides and ask for help or guidance is the best thing IMO.
667  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your biggest obstacle to achieving financial freedom ? on: December 22, 2022, 01:21:43 PM
Each of us has a unique life situation so what is your biggest obstacle to achieving it ?

Definitely, the availability of the sources of money.  With limited job opportunity and huge numbers of competitors, this one of the biggest obstacle to achieving financial freedom when we are born in a second to the poorest rank of the society.  Having no fund to start a business towards financial freedom is also one of the biggest obstacle.  But I think the no.1 biggest obstacle is ourselves.  Our mind setting and attitude our traits and how we perceive the things that is happening around us.  I always believe that if we wanted some change it must start from within us.

Doing the same thing over and over again will not produce different result, that is one of the saying that I am so fond of.  So if we need improvement, we have to improve ourselves too.

Not to argue with you but how much do you know about cryptocurrency?  Did you know Bitcoin is under the umbrella of cryptocurrency? Bitcoin is known as cryptocurrency and altcoin is another part of cryptocurrency.  Cryptocurrency can be centralized  or decentralized depending on the developers control on the Blockchain but originally it is decentralized because the first cryptocurrency that is still existing is Bitcoin. With that, in this lesson  Bitcoin is taken as example of a cryptocurrency so I do not think there is wrong about the authors explanation.  The fact that your understanding about cryptocurrency is moot, I do not think that there is more on what you are saying.  I do respect your point of view but straighten it out first before uttering non-sense stuff. else  keep it by yourself and don't mislead anyone that cryptocurrency is only shitcoins.
Currently there's 22,099 coins on coinmarketcap, while Bitcoin is just 1 from 22,099 coins. This mean 22,098 are altcoins which is cryptocurrencies in general. If the authors want to discuss about Bitcoin, he need to wrote "Bitcoin", not "cryptocurrencies" since it's general and full of shitcoins. Write "cryptocurrencies" and explain it's about "Bitcoin" are completely misleading their users, don't mix about it.

Just tell me whether Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency or not. If you can prove to me that Bitcoin isn't a cryptocurrency then by all means I'll acknowledge  that I am wrong. Besides Bitcoin often represents cryptocurrencies.

Quote
Note the word heavily determined, the article does not say the only one to determine... see the difference?  Of course there are several factor that determine the price, value and utility of a cryptocurrency, these are the demand and supply.  Never factor out the demand because without the demand, no matter how little your supply is it will be worthless.  Now taking the situation in the same ground, both have the same amount of demand but Coin A has more circulating coins than Coin B.  which do you think have higher price?  Which do you think have better value and which one would you think that has better utility?

In the given example it simply shows that supply heavily determined the utility and value of a coins.
Heavily determined mean at least 51% the utility and value about the coin are came from supply.

Also utility and value are different with price, utility is the purpose of the coin, value is the uniqueness, while price is just price which can be easily get manipulated if you're centralized and a whale. A shitcoin can have a fixed supply, but there's no utility and value because they're centralized and copycat.

Utility from definition :

I do not need to reiterate, that image simply tells what utility is.  When you talk about profitability, it automatically include pricing or value.  Just give facts not personal assumption Smiley.  No one is denying that many altcoin are presumed centralized because of their nature of governance.

Just read my reply on the factor determining the value of a cryptocurrency.  I also state no matter how scarce your coins is as long as there is no demand for it, it will be worthless
Quote
Never factor out the demand because without the demand, no matter how little your supply is it will be worthless.

Demand gives value while supply saturates that value. So it is a wrong assumption that supply gives value to the coin but how much it worth when there is a demand depends on the coin saturation or coin supply.

It is not because it is a copycat but because it has no demand.

669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: December 22, 2022, 12:12:05 PM

Exhibitions fights are basically there for two reasons, as I understand it, the first reason is for marketing and PR purposes. Obviously every fighter has to keep up their own appearance in their social media as well as for whichever marketing team is helping them out in the news headlines. I am guessing that if they did not do this, then when the real fight starts, their audience will be much much smaller. And therefore they will make less money.

The second reason is to gauge their opponents strengths and weaknesses. Preparing them for a longer and harder fight.

Speaking of opponent, there is a rumor circling around that Manny Pacquiao will possibly meet Former Super Middle Champion Anthony Mundine in an exhibition fight.  Mundine is two division heavier than Manny Pacquiao even though Mundine  is 47 years old, we cannot deny the fact the remnant of the boxer's strength is still there besides their age isn't that far Manny being 44 years old.  I think the match is just crazy.  Mundine is too big for Manny, taller and longer in reach by 8 cm.  Even thought it is only an exhibition fight and DK Yoo is much taller and bigger but DK Yoo isn't a real boxer unlike Mundine

They are currently in talk of the said possible exhibition fight.

670  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Do nodes share their mempool with each other? on: December 22, 2022, 07:57:55 AM
Then these nodes communicate with its peers to check the validity of transaction on the mempool.
They communicate to exchange unconfirmed transactions. Not to check / question its validity. That happens locally, and is done by each node individually.

Thank you for the correction and I stand corrected, yeah they communicate exchange information about unconfirmed transaction, no excuses I messed up there  Grin.
I messed up this line
Quote
Each Bitcoin node has its own mempool, where it stores the queue of transactions that it has checked and considers valid.

In addition we can also see the difference of mempool and blockchain function in this quotation.

Quote
The memory pool holds “fresh” or unconfirmed transactions (stored as individual transactions).
The blockchain holds “archived” or confirmed transactions  (packaged in “blocks”).

There's so many contents they created in this site, but after I visit the first content and I read it, I find this articles are complete trash since they didn't even can distinguish between cryptocurrency aka shitcoins and Bitcoin.

Not to argue with you but how much do you know about cryptocurrency?  Did you know Bitcoin is under the umbrella of cryptocurrency? edit.. add on..

And then they said supply is heavily determine the utility and value, there's many centralized shitcoins has limited supply and lower than Bitcoin, does those shitcoins are better than Bitcoin in terms of utility and value?

I did not read contents, courses for Bitcoin shared by you.

Why don't use the Orange color?.

Dark is for some other coins, not for Bitcoin. We are all familiar with Bitcoin with Orange that is a brand color for bitcoin.

Thanks for the suggestion, the new color looks nicer than black as a background shade.  I shared the course without thinking the Bitcoin color branding.  But as I changed it, it looks nicer to the eye.

Actually the full course goes up to the altcoin lesson, I just cut the altcoin parts because I don't think it is necessary for newbies and will make the thread too long making it boring at first glance.  Maybe I can put the altcoin course on the 2nd post since I had it on reserved.
673  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which kind of situation will force you to sell? on: December 21, 2022, 11:37:59 PM
People actually claim to be strong holders that can go against any situation wanting them to sell off some of their bitcoins. The strongest of holders do not just sell at the slightest economic discomfort I know, but I believe everybody has a threshold at which if the pressure surpasses them, they would break into the decision of selling some of their bitcoins to sort the present condition. What kind of situation do you think is enough to pressure you in seeling some of the bitcoins you have been holding. Is family or health challenge enough reason to?

Any people who have Bitcoin will force to sell his holdings if he runs out of fund to pay for his bills and other basic expenses.  The scenario of no one to go to for the family basic needs will surely force anyone to sell their holdings of BTC.  You cannot enjoy BTC when it rally if you are dead of starvation.  So I think that is the thing that will force anyone to sell their holdings of BTC.

676  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Do nodes share their mempool with each other? on: December 21, 2022, 09:28:58 PM
Nodes serves as gateway to the mempool[1] so there is a need for nodes to share their mempool with each other in order for other nodes (peers) to perform its own check for the validity of transactions.

Quote
If the transaction passes the node's checks, the transaction is added to the node's mempool. That node will also broadcast it to other nodes, called peers. Each of these peers will perform its own checks — adding valid transactions to its mempool and then broadcasting the transaction along to its peers.

Here is a good presentation by Babypips about how mempool is shared by nodes[2]

It was stated that every node on Bitcoin network share information about new transaction, since transaction is not directly added to the blockchain they are first collected and stored at mempool.  Then these nodes communicate with its peers to check the validity of transaction on after performing its own check and adds valid transaction to the mempool.

678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: December 20, 2022, 01:06:55 PM
I might find that an excuse, uncovering your fighting strategy, is not a good reason, though he might be exposed if he will fight Gesta, but it is
his obligation since he signs the contract.

Since Garcia had signed the contract will the boxing commission sanction Garcia?  I wonder how much money will Garcia need to pay for the penalty if he failed to show in the signed contract fight against Festa.

About the reason of being exposed, I think that is a good reason if he is able to surprise Davis and win the fight.  But if not then it is just a waste.

Still no update about the situation with the upcoming fight between Gesta and Garcia, only the statement of Garcia that spread around
the social channels that he's no longer interested in fighting Gesta.

Gesta's camp is still quiet I wonder what is Gesta's camp thinking right now.  The fight against Ryan Garcia as stated in the earlier reply is one of the biggest fight of Gesta and possible the one that can boost Gesta's career if he happen to win the fight.  I hope the boxing authority will push the fight since it was already signed.
679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to properly store seed phrase during inspection? on: December 20, 2022, 11:05:52 AM
I am considering if traveling and fall into such situation or during inspection, what could have been done to avoid this?

I think it can't be avoided since it was a possibly surprised inspection and police officer is checking everything.  Unless you left your seed phrase  at home or put it on a safety vault under bank's security service protection or the guy had it saved in a ledger or USB.

Let us assume the person is travelling, leaving where is leaving to work or stay in another town and his car was thoroughly inspected.

Is there a possible way that can be avoided?

The best way to avoid the scenario is don't act suspicious. Don't break laws so that you won't get searched or arrested and your things confiscated and never bring your seed phrases around you.  Put it in a safe place where water and fire can't penetrate.
680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 20, 2022, 10:13:45 AM
It looks like Butler doesn't want to be left behind, after the beatings he received from Inoue, it looks like Butler is asking for more.  I watched some clips on youtube[1] and it stated Butler planned to leave his weight division and possibly will go up in weight division.  So Butler planned to mix it up again against Inoue, and Casimero if ever he goes up in weight division.

While Casimero after his fight against Akaho is now ranked 3rd by boxingrec.com. So it is possible to have a title fight for Casimero soon.

Very difficult in the case of Butler and any fighter at 118-122 lbs. At 118 lbs, there could still be Donaire and other Filipinos too in contention for a world belt. But if he chooses to go up, then his old nemesis in Casimero and Inoue is waiting as well.

So he is in on man's land, but I guess if his body can't make the 118 lbs like Inoue, he has no option but to move up, fight contenders and see if he will have a chance to fight for a world title belt again.

My prediction for Inoue for the year 2023. He will wait for Stephen Fulton to unite all of the championships in super bantamweight before Inoue will challenge Fulton, however, if he does not do this, Inoue will do it for him hehehe. Inoue will challenge Akhmadaliev first and win the IBF and WBA championships then challenge Stephen Fulton for the WBC and WBO champioships. He will leave bantamweight because there is nothing more to prove and there is nothing more to earn. Bigger challenge and bigger money is on Inoue vs. Fulton.

Are you ready boxing fans?

I heard some news that Inoue won't be moving up in division unless it is a title fight against either Fulton or Akhmadaliev.  According to this YT video, Inoue will be staying in his current division ready to depend his title, which can possibly give way to one of the Filipino boxer Astrolabio to have a shot on the title fight since the Filipino become rank 3 on IBF after he defeats Nikolai Potapov via 6th round KO.

With this statement of Inoue, some of the Filipino boxing fans thinks that Inoue is avoiding Casimero because if he grinds for ranking after he goes up in weight division, there is a possibility for Inoue to fight Casimero. While going straight to a title fight will definitely evade a fight against Casimero.
