Not good that a big-time thief like this guy is getting involved with mining. Mining is the way to control Bitcoin. Once you control the mining operation, you can do anything with Bitcoin you want. It not longer is beholden to limited supply or anything. They know this. Once the masses jump into Bitcoin and these mega douches control everything Bitcoin is over, it will be just another exploited currency. The problem is that we are still in their system of monetary control - i.e., they can buy up anything they want and that includes Bitcoin. The only time to strike is is when their system has collapsed.

BTCT.CO is getting inundated by sell orders

IF YOU SELL NOW YOU MIGHT GET YOUR ORDER THROUGH
Why sell now? How much worse can it get? Might as well buy in at these prices to average it out.

Went to brush my teeth and now I am a bag holder. Lost about 2.5 BTC - everything I made in the last week and 1/3 of what I have.

ASICMiner is selling off to under 4. Players are repositioning for something it seems.

There is massive buy support at .0015.
1568  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: August 05, 2013, 01:44:53 AM
Let the dumpers dump. Price will come back up a bit shortly with the buying opportunities this low.

The difference is that the dumpers will have doubled their position.  This lesson is generally learned the hard way.

True, but there is no saying that this is going to .001, it could just sit at .0015 and then bounce back up to .0016-0017. So, they may double nothing. People were trying to buy in back to .0016 then a huge wall of dumps back to .0015 came to stop it.

Panic mode engaged!

We're a long way from good news, it will most likely drift back to IPO levels before anything significant happens to renew interest.  Unfortunately people don't seem to be able to hold the line for long periods of inactivity, it's just the way of the bitcoin market.

Full disclosure... I sold @ .0027 + .0017 and won't enter again until .001 ish.
+1

No news = bad news, at least in this market

Let the dumpers dump. Price will come back up a bit shortly with the buying opportunities this low.
1570  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: August 05, 2013, 01:26:04 AM
Well, as you can see they were right to set their IPO price where they did. If the shares had sold at 0.002 and then dropped down to the current level, people would be outraged

As it is, people who got in at the IPO price are still in the money, so not particularly concerned.
This is just someone dumping their shares either to drive the price down or because they are trying to take their BTC somewhere else.

This was earlier today I am talking about.

Edit: just now, there are buy orders at 1611 and someone is selling thousands of shares at 1600 and 1500 - about 100,000 shares.

Who is the a-hole over at BTC-TC who keeps shorting Labcoin? Someone is just dumping their shares and drove the price all the way down to .0016X. Ridiculous.
If someone wants to sell, he sells, and the value goes down.
If someone wants to sell but for some reason can't (people like you preventing him to do that with your magic a-hole power makeup), the price is inflated and doesn't reflect the real market value.
And fun thing is that if people for some reason couldn't sell their shares, those shares' value would be approximating 0, so it would be even lower than your desired inflated value.

They can sell them, people were willing to buy them higher than what they were sold for - hence, "Shorting". They were driving the price down, not simply selling shares to the highest bidder.

I'm not buying because I don't have anything free to buy because they drove the price down so quickly.

Quick people still cashing out.  I'll buy into this alll DAYYYY
Would be nice - I'm averaged at .0018 but they dumped so quick I couldn't break even after many gains. Guess I could transfer some funds and buy-up some more cheap. But don't want to have everything tied-up.

for how long do you need to own the stock in order to collect dividends?

Outstanding 10000000 / 10000000 Issued
what's going on? Huh

10,000,000 shares exist, 7,000,000 offered at IPO and founders own the other 3,000,000.
so,they are free to sell?
so that's why the price falling?

It will be a very bad situation.
Zero share holding means zero responsibility to shareholder's profits.
I don't think they are selling, they have just been issued the shares - someone had to be issued the shares. 10M total, 3M to them, and 7M to investors at BTC.001

At a minimum, I am sure you will have to configure your main pool and failover pool in cgminer.  I don't know if they will include a configuration script or GUI to streamline the process.  If not, there are plenty of Cgminer config guides for setting up pools etcetera.  Usually USB devices don't require much configuration in Cgminer.  Maybe at most a USB driver installation.  Nothing like setting up a GPU and clocking it.  ;-)

Yeah, I can do all that. I was thinking about how I had to build cgminer with all the AMD SPP and then the settings to get the GPUs to work and all that.
