Can I buy your house?

Sure, how many Bitcoins are you willing to part with?
How many bags of dogshit do you want?
Not accepting dogshit, I asked "how many Bitcoins..." You can have my house for 1000 BTC.

ASICMiner has stock and bASICMiner has stock, why do Avalon and Butterfly not have the option to purchase stock?

Did you export DISPLAY ?

Yep.

export DISPLAY=:0

EIDT: I am going to try the 2.7 SDK again.

GPU-README

Did it. I've tried this installation about 10 times now - literally.

For whatever reason it isn't accepting the CFLAGS.

Reconfigure xorg to use more GPUs
Code:
sudo aticonfig -f --adapter=all --initial

Thanks... but I've tried - Ati recognizes cards but CGMiner does not:

Code:
~$ aticonfig --lsa
* 0. 01:00.0 AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series
  1. 00:01.0 AMD Radeon HD 7480D
  2. 02:00.0 AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series
  3. 03:00.0 AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series
  4. 05:00.0 AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series

Here is the CGMiner configuration:

Code:
./cgminer -n

I think maybe my CFLAGS aren't set correctly...

Here is what I set it to:
Code:
 CFLAGS="-O2 -Wall -march=native -I /opt/AMDAPP/include/"

And it isn't reflected after the ./configure

Quote
Compilation............: make (or gmake)
  CPPFLAGS.............:
  CFLAGS...............: -g -O2
  LDFLAGS..............:  -lpthread
LDADD................: -ldl -lcurl   compat/jansson/libjansson.a -lpthread -L/opt/AMDAPP/lib/x86_64 -lOpenCL    -lm

Installation...........: make install (as root if needed, with 'su' or 'sudo')
  prefix...............: /usr/local
1748  Bitcoin / Mining support / Unable to detect more than 1 GPU in Ubuntu 12.04 on: May 16, 2013, 11:59:41 PM
So I had three of my 7950 cards running in Windows and one 7950 in Ubuntu but finally consolidated them to a dedicated Ubuntu 12,04 platform so I could get my main system back. However, I am unable to get more than one GPU detected and running in CGminer. I have followed all instructions at this site:

http://decryption.wordpress.com/2013/04/22/mining-litecoin-with-cgminer-ubuntu-12-10/

I have also substituted the AMD-SDK 2.7 for 2.8 and used 12.8 drivers instead of 13.1. Still doesn't work. I though maybe I needed the dummy monitors for the GPUs so I tried hooking up a monitor to one of the other GPUs, still only detects one.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have two of these cards 100532-4L - they look nice on the outside but aren't the best for mining. It doesn't matter what settings, you get no more than 550kH/s and similar WU. The 100532-2L cards are great - you can push them at 650 KH/s with no problem. I would be OK if these gave 600 KH/s, but... no go.

I even tried your settings above, I got the same hash rate for both -530 kH/s

I currently have many, many 4L's and every single one is above 600.  I've gotten a few to 700 with almost no problems.  It's all about the computer and cgminer.

What does the computer have to do with it? I've tried every setting I could possibly find on the net and then some - nothing. Certainly nowhere close to 700. The fastest hash I have seen is 650. If you have some settings then let this guy know so we can give them a try.

Have any of you found a pool which actually pays out within 5-10% of the profitability calculators? I have tried four of the popular FTC pools and they are only paying between 1/2 - 2/3 of the profitability estimates. At that point is is no more profitable than LTC.

What profitability calculator are you using?

These:

and how long are you staying in each pool?

I was in a pool for almost 24 hrs getting pplns and another for about 12 hr using pps. I have also tried two other pools for a few hours. Nothing close to estimates. I'm back to mining LTC because of it.

Hello bushstar

Please update your pool list

https://hynodeva.com is doing FTC and also doing PPS

PPS rate of pay current pps sharevalue : 0.0003990836351143

Fee for pool on PPS is reduced to 3%

This is the classic pay per share mode with 3% fee (special offer until May 15th)

Fell free people to send me some FTC for the find Smiley

That payout rate is terrible. You get practically nothing. The rate should be about 4 or more times higher than that.

well pool difficulty is only 15 so maybe why so low as get more shares but ill ask them and see what gives. They do have other methods like
Maybe I am just confused on how it all works but I have yet to see any payouts after 24hrs which are anywhere close to the mining calculator estimates.
1755  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: FeatherCoin - New Litecoin based coin on: May 04, 2013, 03:15:54 AM
The whole FTC thing seems like a scam because no one is paying out the amount necessary to make it more profitable than mining LTC. Yeah, when you go calculate how much you should get, it is high, but the pools are only paying you about 1/3 to 1/2 that.

Are you in pplns pool? most have n = 100000

What does that mean? I have to wait until I get 100,000 shares in order to get the proper returns?

pool pay every 100k shares, according to how many of these shares you delivered, so it takes some hours to see proper returns (consider that with pplns you're paid even after stopped mining)

This may help http://pool-x.eu/aboutpplns
Thanks but still isn't making sense. I mined for close to 24 hrs and my payout was less than half of what it should be. There has been far more than 100k shares mined by the pool.

one more thing to note, as pool hashrate increases, your payout/block will go down. But, you will get paid for more blocks.

OK, so it is approximately 6 hrs till 24 hrs have passed and I am only at 20 FTC. So, I am estimated to be getting 50-60 FTC depending on the difficulty (since it just switched). So I am going to be short about 1/2 the estimate.

for PPLNS, you are missing one important piece of info: How often you mine?

if you mine close to 24/7, and still are seeing 1/2, switch pools. If you hop around pools a lot, or mine infrequently, that might be the cause.

I've only been mining for about 12 hrs. I was basing things on the current rate. So you are saying I need to stay on the pool for extended periods to see the actual rate of return?

Read about PPLNS here: http://feathercoin.is-a-geek.com/about

12 hours should see you starting to get the correct amount/block easy.

How much are you seeing per block right now, and how often is a block found at that pool on average?

Looks like every 17 minutes is a new block or new round. I am getting .77 per payout. I was getting as high as .97 per payout but a few hours ago I thought something was wrong and tried to restart, so I guess that hurt me.

Wait... this would actually come out correct. Maybe all the payouts haven't been listed or something. I'll let it run for 24 hrs and see what happens.  Maybe just making a deal about nothing.
