So we have to rebid? I am at work and having no way to bid. I thought this was going to start at 8:00 pm est. The plans have changed so many times. Do I need to just bid at .001 or higher?
only at .001, and as much as you can. only bid volumes count up till the cap, which is still unknown. The amount of shares in the IPO remains at 7 million. Only the distribution percentage per investor varies with bid volume (this is how I understand it). Total share volume remains also unchanged at 10 million shares. Don't understand what this means. Last night I bid 1000 shares at .001 for 1 BTC. What does this mean for me now? It means that you will be included in the IPO. How many shares you get will be determined by how many people have bit at or above .001. All shares will be sold at .001. If there are 20,000,000 shares on the orderbook at 4PM ET at or above .001, everyone will receive 35% of their number of shares on the order book at 20,000,000 on orderbook at or above .001 7,000,000 available shares 7,000,000 / 20,000,000 = .35 So, if you have an order for 1000, you will only receive 350 shares for BTC.35 That is ridiculous. That means there is no way for me to spend my 1 BTC to get my 1000 shares. I have never heard of anything this silly. Those who bid late shouldn't get to bid at all. That is how a real IPO works. How am i bidding late??? They haven't been released yet! We've been told we can bid till a certain minute. Guess what, that minute is still a hour away. God, the replies are totally insane. What a bunch of greedy assholes! Because the bidding started very early this morning and 7,000,000 share bids were placed. You were too late - i.e., you weren't prepared to bid when the bidding started to secure shares. I was prepared and planned to get shares but now my shares are going to be cut in half because 1000s of people can now drop a bunch of coin to dilute my shares. IF I put 1 BTC in I should get 1BTC worth of shares not .5 BTC worth.

If it makes you feel any better, they could have just released it to market price and you wouldn't have gotten any shares for .001. Bid was already up to a minimum of about .001020 and slowly increasing... That would have been fine. I could have increased the bid price and only reduced the shares by a few. Or just sold 7000000 shares at .001 - first come, first serve. Now last minute cadres can come in when it is too late for people like me to make any moves and secure the near 1000 shares I made sure to reserve.

What does this mean for me now? divide the total bid volume of ~15M by 7M, that is the ratio. multiply your bid volume with the ratio, and that is the number of shares you will get, each of them @ .001 15M/7M = 2:1. My bid volume equals 1000 x 2 = 2000. So I will be getting 2000 shares? doesn't sound right. Do you mean divide by the ratio? All I care about is getting 1000 shares of the 7M or as close as I can.

They gave no warning. IPO shares started selling at 1:50 AM in US - they said they would start during US Business day.
???? It was a mistake - I wasn't familiar with how the pre-bid worked. I though no bids could be placed until they were ready to sell.
No point in setting an IPO share price if that is how it works.
So, placing a bid means nothing. We have to sit around and refresh our screens over and over to see how many bids are placed on top of our bid. One guy come in at the last second and bids .0010001 and gets shares over someone who placed a .001 bid when the bids started.
What is the point of a starting IPO share price if they can't necessarily be bought at that price?
Won't let me place a bid.

Damn, Transfer to BTC-TC takes forever.
6 confirms. so i'd guess 45 minutes 3 confirms, and it is taking 45 min for 1 confirm.

so, if I want some shares should I be putting a bid in now?

Make sure you know what you're talking about before speaking. People have put up bids, NO shares have been sold yet. OK. OK. Why are people putting in bids for much less than the IPO price?

can we purchase shares now? I thought they were giving warning.

The manipulation on bitfunder is cringeworthy to watch
Someone is raking in cash.
Heck yes!!! I scored 222 shares at .0045. That averages out my purchase at .007 a bit.

this retarded dumping has atleast created another wave of arbitrage possibility between btct and bitfunder and strengthened the bid walls significantly. overall this dip has strengthened this asset a lot.
thanks, retarded whales and lemmings.
How can you arbitrage between BF and BTCTC?

So, when I get this board I will just plug power to it from my PSU, link it to my comp with a USB, and configure CGMiner, blow some air on it, and this thing will do the rest, right? CGminer will detect this board and know what to do with it just like it does my GPUs? Will there be any instructions with it?
Shouldn't they already have these chips? They were supposed to get them mid-late July. It is Late July.
Complain to Avalon they are too busy mining the hell out of BTC to ship chip orders early or even on time. I know.

I lost 2700 shares...made a bad move on the way down, risked too much. that just sucks
What exactly did you do? panicked. no, I wanted to buy back in @~.0025, but that was just a dream, just a dream That stinks, man. I try to get out at around 10-15%, but if the bottom falls out I do not sell. You knew it had to maintain some increase, it wasn't going to go all the way down to where it started.
