2081  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-03-21]Bitcoin Debit Card Provider Wirex Launches PayPal Option for Bitcoin on: March 21, 2016, 09:49:00 PM

Be careful when dealing with Loanoffer40 as it is an open scam accusation against him here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1407157.0;all , Deal only through escrow.
2083  Economy / Economics / Re: Are electric cars bad for the oil industry? on: March 21, 2016, 09:23:27 PM
Title.

So. Electric cars are gaining in popularity, therefore the popularity of gasoline will be going down. Won't the price go down, leaving the oil industry in trouble?

At the moment, i think that it will not affect the oil industry directly, but producing, for example, a Tesla car pollutes more the environment comparing to other vehicles.
2084  Economy / Services / Re: [SpectroCoin.com] Signature campaign weekly payout on: March 21, 2016, 08:09:04 PM

Payment received, I checked on the SpectroCoin.com website and i saw many good features, like the debit card, the opportunity to purchase amazon gift cards (amazon.com, co.uk, .de, .es, .it .fr), then top-up the phone etc etc.
I have a suggestion, for spectrocoin users to be 1 transaction free of fee (once a week) when withdrawing the funds.
2085  Economy / Auctions / Re: I'm here to sell a sr.member with potential 518 (Potential Hero Member) on: March 21, 2016, 07:36:25 PM
Have you made any deals in the past with this potential hero account? If so you can sign from that address?
2086  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you had one chance... on: March 20, 2016, 10:29:09 PM
If you had one chance to get someone interested in Bitcoin (on a TV interview, or in private conversation with a wealthy friend, for example), and under 20 seconds...
What would you say?

I would firstly ask if i can have more than 20 seconds then i would tell him/them Do you want to own 100% your money, use and invest in bitcoin. Keeping short and simply and mentioning the bitcoin website to learn more about bitcoin.
2087  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin trusted to put your real money on: March 20, 2016, 02:11:57 PM
I heard people buying bitcoin using real money..
Is it really good since we all know that everything on internet can be hack or something....
Is bit[Suspicious link removed]d to make your money grow fast or will you just lose all those money??

First you must be sure that the environment should be safe, first your internet connection, your PC (or mobile) should be clean of viruses and then run the bitcoin client, or generating new address/private keys etc. I consider bitcoin as trusted to store my real money and to spend them like normal cash, recently with the bitcoin debit cards it has been easier to use bitcoin.
2088  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Xapo or Coinbase ? Which is better and Why ? on: March 20, 2016, 02:02:00 PM
Hi,

I have heard Xapo and Coinbase are the two best online wallets.
I just need to know if you were to choose between them, which one you will go for and why?

You can also share good and bad experiences with both wallets so it can help us decide which one to use.

Thanks

Both are good, both offer good services including xapo which has bitcoin debit cards, but both of them do not offer you the private key of your address which means that you do not control 100% your bitcoins, sometimes i use coinbase as they have the mobile client.
2089  Other / Meta / Re: Signature maker on: March 17, 2016, 08:41:48 PM
I want to try to create a signature here in the forum but I don't honestly know how. I know it's composed of bbcodes but can you guys suggest where I can practice making sigs? An editor or something like that.

The best method is to collect current signature from the signature campaigns and experiment with them, also there is a website to 'learn' the basics of bbcode http://www.teamopolis.com/tools/bbcode-table-generator.aspx but trying yourself here in forum is the best idea.

Nice. I always wanted to learn some coding before I turn into a ineffective dinosaur left behind with my fat fingers.
Thanks for the link and look forward to seeing what Stiffbud creates.

@Luptin

Dont you create signatures as well? I know you seem to have your hands in a lot of different aspects and thought I saw that somewhere.

You're welcome, let us know when you do any signature work, but keep in mind that there are some limitation when creating signature for different ranks:

- Newbie: No styling (including links) allowed. Max 50 characters.
- Jr. Member: Links allowed. Max 150 characters.
- Member: Unlimited length.
- Full: Color allowed.
- Sr. Member: Size allowed
- Hero: Background color allowed
2090  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do people around you think about Bitcoin ? on: March 17, 2016, 08:28:53 PM
Around me bitcoin is not enough popular and most of people don't know about bitcoin but those who know think that it is a scam coin and it is only used by hackers, I hope bitcoin will be more popular and be used everywhere.

both account have this status
Posts: 160
Activity: 160 (Full Member)
Potential Activity: 504 (Potential Hero Member)
Post Quality: Poor
Trust: Neutral

Starting Bid: 0.2BTC for both
Minimum bid increment: 0.02BTC
BIN: 0.3BTC for both
Auction end time: 48 hours after last valid bid

Why should we ask always if you seller can provide signed message, nowadays signed message is almost a must, i don't have any bid right now but i have a question do you have signed message, if yes how old is the post containing the bitcoin address, and if any of them is enrolled in any signature campaign.

how i can sign message, if there are no old posted address

If you haven't posted anywhere your bitcoin address for each account then you can't prove that you "own" them, most of users here will require signed message but as you want, good luck with sales. Maybe a better idea is to sell these accounts after few months with signed message.

They have all been from selling in the "goods" section. Not digital goods (like the sketchy gift cards in the digital goods section)

If it is so did you had any bitcoin transaction made ? I don't think you dealt through fiat money in a bitcoin forum. Yes or No it's a simple answer.

Yes, obviously all transactions were with btc. I still control the btc addresses from those transactions where I received the btc from the sale. If I can sign a message from those I will. The oldest transaction was from almost a year ago

It's a dedicated situation, to prove that you deal with that address the other part(buyer or seller) should prove that he dealt with you and give proof that it is the same address that you will sign. Anyway good luck with sales, there is a hope for signed message.

2095  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to store Private Keys on: March 17, 2016, 08:01:29 PM
I have some of my Bitcoin Addresses and their Private Keys. My question is that where and how should i securely store my Private keys so that i don't loose my BTC earnings. Currently i have saved them on my PC in a txt file, which is not the best way.
Please suggest.

Hard drives or usb flash drives can be corrupted at any time so they are not 100% safe, try to write these private keys and cut the paper in half and save the two pieces in different places multiple time.
2096  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many bitcoins do you have to sell to make a living? on: March 16, 2016, 08:14:59 PM
I need 250 btc to make my family living a normal life because i have a big family and converting 250 btc into my fiat currency at the price of $500 will be like my dream comes true.

This is really too much to spend 250 bitcoin within a month, at my country to make a living are need somewhere between 2-4 bitcoins depending on the people's needs.
2097  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bank experience makes me love Bitcoin more on: March 16, 2016, 07:47:14 PM
transfer period between different banks. In this day and age, we still have to wait for a minimum of 48 hours to successfully transfer money between banks.  Huh Huh Huh

Everyone should stop complaining about Bitcoin transaction confirmation times, because with the correct fees, you will rarely see anything like this happen under normal {non-stress test} conditions.

You just have to love Bitcoin.  Grin

+count if the transaction would be on weekend it would be +48 hours, it happened me sometimes and it really sucks waiting so much time. Bitcoin is much easier and we should be lucky if the car seller would accept bitcoin.
2098  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just what is a FAIR fee to send a Bitcoin transaction? on: March 16, 2016, 07:41:49 PM
Quote from: solex link=topic=827209.msg9242486#msg9242486
Simple poll to find out just what most people think is a fair fee for sending a transaction on the Bitcoin network, long-term.

Paying a bill; buying a car, computer or coffee; making a donation, or whatever...
In 2014 US dollars please choose the amount that you think is closest to what the BTC equivalent mining fee should be for a standard transaction.

Assuming also that a standard transaction is on-chain, not a micro-transaction,  it is for something that is usually paid for with fiat.

What is the fairest fee?

It's unfair to have the same fee when sending 10 dollars and sending 1 million of dollars worth in bitcoin, i think a fair fee would be 5 cents per little transactions.
2099  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price for 2016 on: March 16, 2016, 07:26:31 PM
This crazy world we live in  Cheesy

I voted for "Above 500" because i have a feeling that bitcoin price will be pumped hard this year because of the halving but also it will become more popular.
2100  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcointalk Escrows - Trade Safely! on: March 16, 2016, 07:20:35 PM
What is criteria for using this escrow is this official from forum or they all doing personally if I need to use any escrow then I have to post here or sending Personal Message is better and safe for any exchange

First the escrows are not official but they are offering their service, the big 3 and others are trusted enough to deal as they have many deals in the past but always deal at your own risk.

P.S You should contact them directly if you need their escrow service.
