1321  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopay Bitcoin Debit card + Giveaway on: August 29, 2016, 11:45:50 AM
Hello, is this service available for the USA?  If so I would love to try it out do you have a promo code?

I always try to not be ironic, but in this situation probably it will be.. Just answer me for one simple question: Is VISA accepted in your village, city, country? If yes, answer is yes!

some services do not  allow US customers to sign up.

If you are highly interested then it will work also for united states citizens for example you can ship somewhere to anyfriends that lives in another country where is supported by the card issuer then he will reship it to you.
1322  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: why trading volume is so low now? on: August 29, 2016, 09:39:18 AM
The price is pretty much like the last week and saying the truth the trading volume is based also when the traders are on vacation and they don't trade or at least don't leave they trading bots do it job because of the risk involved. When the price get ups and downs traders are highly to trade at this time because there is more potential profit.
1323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will be see bitcoin as international currency? on: August 29, 2016, 09:31:31 AM
As people are awarding of bitcoin & its potential. When we can see bitcoin as international currency? Huh

It is already an international currency because it is used worldwide by different people in different countries which makes it international, at least I understand so, international is sending money from a country to another one and the fee is exactly the same as sending bitcoin within a country.

1325  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the price of Bitcoin change more than traditional currencies? on: August 25, 2016, 08:30:49 PM
I noticed that the price of Bitcoin change much like all altcoins.
But the price of other traditional currencies like the euro, for example, are stable and do not change much.
It is the government that control their prices?

Bitcoin price changes very often because there are less supply if we compare with the traditional currencies like USD,CHF and more and more people that use fiat money the more stable it is and of course someone in the head of the money regulate the price and don't let it drop often, bitcoin is new and the number of people is not a lot but this is keeping increasing.
1326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is stealing Bitcoin illegal? on: August 25, 2016, 08:28:15 PM
Let's say I generate a new address and by some miracle it has Bitcoin already in it belonging to somebody else. Is it legal to just take it? I understand those odds are very low, no need to lecture me, I'm just interested.

It is illegal because you are stealing something and this is money, maybe bitcoin does not have any value to most people in the world but it is very valuable in the crypto world and doesn't cost cheap, whatever the amount is it is still stealing money.
1327  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Question about anonymous debit visa cards on: August 23, 2016, 12:06:22 PM
I'm also worried about using bitcoin debit card where a random nickname is printed on the card, which in fact is not my name so if the card sucks at ATM and I should call someone(the security) to help me get back my card they would ask me for the ID which name should be the same on the card too, I would get in trouble and maybe arrested.

2) When my name is printed on my bitcoin debit card then it is easier because you are the owner of the card, and you an continue using it until you reach the limit.

So, there is a name on the cards - but it is just not yours? That sounds a bit shady to me.
I had the impression that the card was just "blank" (no name written).

I ordered one on cryptopay a while before and i was asked for a name which i choose a random one, so i have a limit of 2000€ lifetime to withdraw, but if i want to lift this limit I should send verifications documents to them.

How long does it (practically take) from you bitcoin tx is confirmed on the blockchain to you can spend the cash on the cryptopay card?

I have never tried it because of the reason above, but if you have time check on their site because Im on the phone right now but will check later, but I dont think will needtoo much time, few confirmations should be enough or max 6.

Quoted, but please sign a message using that address.
He clearly stated that he is not able to sign a message with that bitcoin address, because the addresses that begin with 3 are not able to sign messages, but whats the point staking an address that you cant sign with?

1332  Other / Meta / Re: How to make my own signature? on: August 23, 2016, 09:28:54 AM
If I have a picture that I want to use as my signature, what do I need to put as code (assuming I know the url of the picture)?
picture are not allowed like they already said. You just need to use bbcodes.
iirc jr. member signature has a limit of 150 characters so you can't design it much.

Using bbcodes, you said I can't use pictures, so what rank is needed to display a picture in  our signature?
You must be atleast a Sr.member to use image codes in your signature but make sure to ask forum staff if the picture you are using is allowed or not

No picture code is allowed in forum, does not matter the rank, you are hero and you can try thay you can not put image on your signature, it will display only the link.
1333  Economy / Economics / Re: Soo, I'm planning on buying €1000 in bitcoins. Yes or no? on: August 23, 2016, 09:26:53 AM
For me, this is kind of a huge investment, but should I actually do it?

What are the risks of doing this?

The risk of investing 1000 is that can happen the worst scenario losing 20-30% but I think the price does not crash deeper, another scenario is that you can make a good profit and then try to re invest in bitcoin and or in altcoins with a smaller amounts.
1334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Most Valuable Right Now? on: August 23, 2016, 09:12:13 AM
What's the most valuable thing you can buy right now with bitcoin?

Depending on your personal needs you can buy appartments which i saw in the goods sections, you can also buy cars if you are in U.S that would cost cheaper because no expensive overseas shipping.
1335  Other / Meta / Re: How to make my own signature? on: August 23, 2016, 09:02:08 AM
If I have a picture that I want to use as my signature, what do I need to put as code (assuming I know the url of the picture)?

Picture is not allowed in the signature but if you dont know about the bcc code then you should hire a signature designer which in some cases they can design your logo or picture in the ascii format.
1336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NSA Hacked - Bad publicity for Bitcoin on: August 22, 2016, 03:54:03 PM
Quote
The hacking group has  leaked some private hacking tools and exploits. The hackers are also asking for 1 million bitcoin (about $568 million) in an auction to release all the files.

Here are my three scenarios :

1. Satoshi Nakamoto is NSA and he is going to pay the 1 million Bitcoin.
2. NSA will buy 1 million Bitcoin and give us a nice increase in the price.
3. NSA won't do shit . (which is the thing likely to happen in this case)

I think that the third one will happen, I don't think they will spend half a billion of dollars paying the hackers, but they will modify the tools and the websites or backdoors in order that those tools that hackers own now will not work, otherwise they will pay but not 1 million bitcoin.

1339  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does anyone here give trading tips to friends? on: August 22, 2016, 01:36:17 PM
Ive just had one of my friends ask for some advice on coins to pick to add to a portfolio but after being asked ive now decided id rather him find out for himself, I feel that if i give him advice and the ones i have said to pick end up failing then it will fall back on me so i think from now on i wont be giving any advice on trading. I dont mind telling him what ones i think are going to do well but i dont think its wise to promote any.

Is anyone in a similar situation or have you even made recommendations only for them to fail and friend slose money?

Well no, my friends don't know about bitcoin but even if they would know I wouldn't tell them that i trade or something like that, I have a negative balance between earnings and profit so I'm trying to get back on my feet.

I got the same problem a few years back, but with trading i managed to recope it within a few weeks. It's not very hard, just need to be focused on the coins you are trading.
Obviously you have to cut down your spending too Wink. No more ferrarri's
Haha, if i had ferrari I would sell it for bitcoin(and that would be a good news for bitcoin), I am thinking to quit trading for a while because many dumps and pumps are happening with altcoins
1340  Economy / Economics / Re: Businesses you can run from anywhere for under $1,000 on: August 21, 2016, 09:38:31 PM
I wouldn't say from anywhere because even if you go on holiday or somewhere else you need to have the laptop so you can continue or work a little bit, otherwise an ipad or other devices is a must if you want to run your business, then powerbanks if you go hiking etc etc.
