1141  Economy / Services / Re: App Notification for my website ??? on: October 14, 2016, 04:31:11 PM
Hello! is it possible to get notification's on my phone using a app such as "Signal" or "Wicker" everytime my website get's a "order"?

A cheaper way to get phone notifications is by sending you an email every time someone make an "order", you get email notifications that someone ordered in your website. Thank me later.

1144  Economy / Economics / Re: Spending Bitcoins on: October 11, 2016, 11:28:27 AM
sounds pretty good to spend a bitcoin when k ni, because so many things I want to buy, but it may not be good to spend a bitcoin now, because the price bitcoin likely will soon be up, so it would be very bad for us if we do not have much bitcoin at the time, so maybe the best thing to do for the moment to collect bitcoin

Obviously everyone tries to collect more and more in order to earn more profits out of it when the price goes higher but not everyone can keep them always because sometimes we need money so we have to spend some of them.

There is no benefit of holding something forever because one day we will die, but if you plan to leave them for the next generation like children or grandchildren then this is another thing, we should save bitcoin as long as we don't need them and this is like a backup in case we need urgently one day some money.
1145  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex, the worst exchange online. on: October 11, 2016, 11:26:55 AM
I love the threads when a nobody with 0.27 btc stuck pending complain about how an exchange with 5 figure btc volume is trying to scam them.

Smiley
It is his money that got stuck. Does he have to be a whale with thousand of BTC to see his withdrawal processed faster?
Everyone should be treated the same, it shouldn't matter if they have 0.1 or 1000 BTC.

Maybe Poloniex's withdrawals are stuck because AFAIK there was attack on bitcoin network today, a lot of unconfirmed transactions, mempool overload etc.

I dont think you understood me. What im trying to say is that poloniex is an exchange who regularly sees 10k+ btc volume and they're not going to try and scam someone for $150. The op is just panicking.

He should be panicked because holding your money for many hours and still no response from them I would be worried too, I had many withdrawal in the past on poloniex but it got approved after a minute or so but not hours.
1146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You accidentally find Satoshi.....What would you do? on: October 11, 2016, 11:22:38 AM
Satoshi is a real person. He is probably in his early forties. The problem with being an innovative thinker and filthy rich is that you get bored unless you're keeping yourself busy.

So, he is likely to be working somewhere in the technology world.

What if you accidentally figure out the guy you've been working with (sitting next to, is a customer, is a consultant, is your client, etc) is actually Satoshi.

What would you do?

I think that satoshi is not a single person but a mid or small team who worked and maybe still working for the bitcoin, I would ask him how much is your total amount of bitcoin holdings, what are your plans doing with them and where do you see bitcoin after 10 years.
1147  Economy / Speculation / Re: When can we expect sub $350 price? on: October 11, 2016, 11:18:22 AM
Haven't been paying attention to the markets lately. When can expect prices similar to those of 2015?

Since the bitcoin price has been stable for a long time now I don't expect the price to drop to $350 at least not this year because it is going good, never say never and everything can happen but this is my opinion maybe next year or not at all.
1148  Other / Off-topic / Re: waiting for a confirmation: what are you doing? on: October 11, 2016, 11:11:40 AM
hi

what are you doing while your are waiting for a confirmation of a transaction.

i am reading here and posting some stuff.

Most of the time when the weather is good I go out for a while and take some energy and usually I don't look back for 30min or 1 hour. But when the weather is rainy or similar I prefer to watch trailers on youtube lol.
1149  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BitcoinTalk App (Android/iOS) on: October 10, 2016, 06:35:18 PM
Hey guys,

I just saw the BitcoinTalk.org Forum App in the Google Play Store...
so I downloaded the on my smartphone.

I could log me into my account here but I think the app is not very good so let's start the developement of a better BitcoinTalk app! Smiley

Best regards,

Patrick Grin

I think people should not spend time and effort to make a mobile app since it requires too much work and still will not be stable because there isn't a good API to scrap data as achow101 said.
1150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: unconfirmed payments and recieving addres only valid for 2 hours on: October 10, 2016, 06:15:31 PM

i also have another 2 payments to different people made shortly after which are also unconfirmed after 4 hours is this first transaction stopping them or is something stopping all 3? the other 2 tx ids are

Yes the first transaction is stopping the other 2 from being confirmed but it's quite surprising why the first transaction is not getting confirmed even though the fee of 0.00010856 is not small for 225 bytes, have you tried to push it? https://blockr.io/tx/push
1151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen if BTC was Banned? on: October 08, 2016, 12:27:11 PM
What do you guys think it would happen if all the governments in the world declared bitcoin to be illegal?
How do you think the community would react? What could be the possible solutions?

The community will react of course and all of us will be angry but when governments ban it then we have nothing to do, bitcoin will be used in illegal ways in closed forums or underground.
1152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What I love about Bitcoin on: October 08, 2016, 09:03:35 AM
I love the recent stability too, but this does not happen always because we are aware that bitcoin price is unstable most of the time, if this happened in the last months it doesn't mean will happen also for the rest of the months this year. What I love about bitcoin is the currency itself and the ability to pay with it like fiat.
1153  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Stealing code from other signatures on: October 08, 2016, 09:00:29 AM
In the beginning, this wasn't such a problem, since people didn't do this kind of stuff.

Nowadays, I occasionally see signatures with BBCode art that are stolen from other signatures. Let's not call any names here.

Is this allowed? Do we have to put copyright licenses under each signature in order for this not to happen?

I wouldn't call it stolen because it is open source on every signature thread, but what people do is modifying these signature codes and 'generate' a new one. Who would mange the copyright licenses, what happens to the guy who modified it?
1154  Economy / Economics / Re: What Will it Take For BTC to Reach $1000? on: October 08, 2016, 08:58:23 AM
What Will it Take For BTC to Reach $1000?

Let's discuss.

A hard dump when the price reached $2,000 lol. People will start buying bitcoin and this will be trending like gold and bitcoin is spread everywhere and the price will gradually increase to $1k.
1155  Economy / Exchanges / Re: List of bitcoin debit cards on: October 08, 2016, 08:56:15 AM
Just used my XAPO card today to pay a phone bill.

Seem to works fine.  Cool

It should work fine but have you checked about the fees that they took, how much was that and if the exchange rate was below or above the rate at that time of purchase.
1156  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are you doing with Bitcoin? on: October 08, 2016, 08:36:52 AM
Are you investing your money on Bitcoin?
Do you use Bitcoin to buy things in internet?
You earn money with Bitcoin?

I think that I'm investing my money (time is money) in bitcoin because I trust bitcoin that one day will reach the moon, I use bitcoin for buying things on internet and also for trading for other coins back and forth.
1157  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you trade with crypto currency? on: October 08, 2016, 08:32:50 AM
Hi there,

I've started trading a few months ago with a very small amount and it was quite effective for me. 80% of my trades are based on technical analysis and 20% on rumors, tweets, announcement, etc.

I'm curious what is the most common technique do you use for trading?

Good luck,

80% is enough because nobody can be 100% for sure if an crypto currency worth or not investing. I sometimes just check if the price is changing often and I risk to buy and sell some coins but with lower amount because I don't want to risk for example 1BTC in a coin I have not much researched.
1158  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will price be at around $700 by end of october on: October 08, 2016, 08:30:35 AM
Currently price is trying to break $600 but still lots of selling force is trying to push the price down under $600. What you guys think can this October bring another good pump pushing price well above $700 ?

I'm not much a good predicted, and I like to predict based on the facts and from the general knowledge, and based on the current trending I can't say that the price will be $700 later this moth, maybe a maximum of $630.

I put my vote on $650 price by the end of this month, as price is stable at a moment and it may increase  in next couple of weeks but that is only possible if people will keep on buying bitcoins.

Not bad, that price is reasonable and by now the price is around $620 and is not far from our target for this month, since the price of bitcoin has been stable for a while we can't expect a huge pump because there will be also a dump after that.
1159  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would u still use Bitcoin if u were a USD multi millionaire? on: October 08, 2016, 08:26:45 AM
If u were a USD multimillionaire, say right now, immediately, would u still use Bitcoin or would u ignore it?

What would u do? What would ur plans be?

~CfA~

I would use bitcoin why not, being a millionaire doesn't mean that you will not look for other opportunities and help the bitcoin community to grow up to another level, I believe that Bill Gates should own any bitcoin.
1160  Other / Off-topic / Re: The First Thing You Bought? on: October 08, 2016, 08:19:47 AM
It has been a long time since I earned first satoshis but after I sold them for cash (because no other choice was at that time) I think that I have bought something Digital not sure if that was Skype credit or a license for my Antivirus.
