1361  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Make a Living Trading? on: August 16, 2016, 04:47:47 PM
Hi!

What do you people think about making a living by trading BTC/USD or BTC with other ALT Coins?

Do you think it's possible to make a living with an excellent starting capital? ($100k ~)

I am looking to get at least $5000 per month profit with this capital

Can we have this kind of income as a "sustainable income."

Is anyone making a living trading? What kind of strategy do you like more.

If you want to have only the online trading job then I should think twice before doing this because what If a hack happens and all your funds get stolen or at least locked, how will you spend your rest of you life without money? I would participate on a trading group so the lost would be shared or something like this.
1362  Other / Off-topic / Re: What % of your Assets is Bitcoin? on: August 16, 2016, 04:36:18 PM
I store the assets in the form of bitcoin is about 20%. Well, I always redeem bitcoin I have had in the form of dollars and store it in my bank account because I think that it is the best place, and I am also able to easily redeem my money into bitcoin or use the money to buy something if my money there in bank accounts

But I think that not converting to fiat and storing as bitcoin is better and safer than bank if you have the private key of the bitcoin address and not in third party websites.

Less than 0.1% of my asset is in bitcoin. I plan to increase it to 1 to 5% in the next three years by mining.

Isn't this percentage small? 1 of 1000 in bitcoin is small i think whatever the amount in fiat is even if it is 1 million it means that only 1k is in bitcoin.
It might be small but it is not necessarily unwise. Having a small amount in Bitcoin right now probably isn't bad for him and he might not have a lot of money to begin with, so putting $1 out of every $1000 he has into Bitcoin might be expensive for him already. Him trying to increase it though is a good thing, and moving it up to every $1/$100 or $1/$20 isn't a bad thing necessarily. It's up to people to decide.

$1 in bitcoin of $1000 is really a small amount and I doubt that a guy with this percentage believe that bitcoin is a good investment and a hope that bitcoin price will be increased. But still it is better rate of percentage 0.01% rather than nothing.
thats true, in my opinion it would be better to put at least 10 per cent of your  money into bitcoins right now if you want to make any profit

It depends on how much are your earning because even 100% of your earnings are not enough if the amount is very low. For an average earning amount based on average salary for the specific country then I think 25% should be enough to invest in bitcoin, maybe not every month but every couple of months.
1363  Economy / Speculation / Re: Value of Bitcoin at end of 2016, beginning of 2017 ::: Predictions? on: August 16, 2016, 04:32:21 PM
I'm not sure when exactly the new megaupload file host by kim dotcom will be available but seems that his "event" will affect the price and I think that at the beginning of 2017 the price of bitcoin will be somewhere at $800. At the end of this year the price I think will be increased up to $700.

Have no idea about what you are talking, a new megaupload file hosted by kim dotcom, but the price would only be able to achieve that target if the coins touches the adoption level somehow otherwise it wont be able that soon, maybe it can reach there but it would take more time without adoption and investments.

If you don't have any idea about megaupload then search the forum or search on google and you will find what I meant. Bitcoin price is not based on people's opinions but on real investors and on big projects because as much people use bitcoin the more the price will be increased in the future.
1364  Economy / Services / Re: Got a 0.3btc job for people with work on: August 15, 2016, 05:13:02 PM

PM me with where you're from and I'll tell you if you're suited for the job.

Thanks.

Should we be from a specific country or we should not be from a specific country, It would be good to list all the countries which you need or you don;t need to (which ever is shorter) Sending a PM to you now.
1365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Brain wallet password based on fingerprint? on: August 14, 2016, 10:07:44 PM
First of all the idea is good but there are some other better biometric security way like Iris scanner that recently is introduced on the Samsung Note 7. I don't know if you know but the fingerprint can easily be hacked by some kids toys that use in kindergarten for more check this video how can an iPhone touchID can be hacked/tricked: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-3471718/Can-iPhone-s-fingerprint-sensor-hacked-using-PLAY-DOH-Researchers-claim-toy-bypass-Apple-s-security.html#v-5041464962111065112

This was what I was referring to back in the 1st page... To be able to replicate a fingerprint this way, you have to have it very beautifully "printed" on a surface, and that doesn't happen frequently in real life Smiley

At least we can count that this method does it job and fingerprint is not secure at all, it is needed online one time and all bitcoins can be lost, I haven't made a deep research but I believe that there are more ways to hack the fingerprint but maybe an Iris scanner and a password or/and a 2FA would be enough.
1366  Economy / Economics / Re: What would it actually take to make BitCoin the most used currency in the world? on: August 14, 2016, 10:00:57 PM
I think that in countries that bitcoin is not supported and banned from their government bitcoin is being used in the illegal way of course and if these countries legalize bitcoin then I believe that bitcoin price will be increased but to be the most used currency I think people should move their big shares in bitcoin
1367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cyrpto vs Fiat on: August 14, 2016, 09:54:11 PM
Sometimes wins fiat sometimes wins crypto. For a more stable value is fiat which its value decreases or increases slowly comparing with bitcoin or other coins which the value increases or decreases very fast, check the most recent price of bitcoin and you can see how far has dropped, bitcoin is good, fast enough and cheap to use but the value is not as we want.

One Bitcoin equeals one Bitcoin no matter what price the illiquid exchanges trade the Bitcoin for. Not many people trade at these exchanges, thats why any suden activity in trade can move the price a lot (up or down). But wait longer periods and average out and the short term price moves from illiquid markets are not big issue anymore - to accomplish this you might buy or sell small sums at regular intervals regardless of price for longer interval, then you get much fairer price from this averaging. But obviously if you dont need to buy or sell, you still holding the same amount of Bitcoins (or percentage of all Bitcoins) no matter what.

One bitcoin is one bitcoin but the price does matter really too much because people would not be interested if the bitcoin price gets at two digits or lower and if the price gets higher than now then people will be more interested and will spend their fiat to convert them in fiat.
1368  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] CoinMixer.se - Bitcoin Mixing Service on: August 14, 2016, 09:51:28 PM
Transfered 1.3 btc with your service and it got lost. Sent you email with letter of guarantee and everything and no answer. Blockchain.info shows over 100 confirmations. I use you on a daily basis with large transfers this is the first time it happened. Are you going to fix this please?
Still no answer? Sent both bit message and mail, also posted here. Is this turning out to be a scam?

Just to let people know, the giveaway is still open and there a tickets available to be claimed.

Good luck!

I just got one seat through the promo code which worked for me just now thank you. I watched the Unit 3 "The Bitcoin Transaction Visualized" and from the number of views seems that only 8 people has seen that and I think there are more tickets available.
1370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $1.6M ln Bitcoin Auctioned Off in US: Will Bitcoin Price Increase? on: August 14, 2016, 08:06:21 PM
Totalling around 2719 BTC in one block, the Bitcoin comes from various sources connected to both criminal and civil cases. The auction will be online on August 22, 2016 from 8AM EDT to 2PM EDT according to the USMS in a statement.

Source : https://cointelegraph.com/news/16mln-bitcoin-auctioned-off-in-us-will-bitcoin-price-increase

Shouldn't we except a price decrease instead , I guess It's what happened in the last Silk road auction ?

I saw this auction and the rules are very strictly which means that the coins will be sold only to one buyer so these will be send to only one bitcoin addresses and the minimum deposit is 100k USD, I think the price will decreased a bit if the winner decide to sell a part of them.
Yeah i seen this too and there is some strange and strict rules imposed on the bidders.

Why would they only want to send the coins to one address and only within one block, is this a normal type of request for auctioned coins or is there another reason behind it?
Can it be a multi sig address?

As I remember there was an bitcoin auction before this but didn't check how it went. Anyway about this auction there are 8 days left until the winner is chosen by them so I'm really excited to see if the bitcoin price is going up or down, the last one is more likely.

1373  Other / Off-topic / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto - Nationality on: August 14, 2016, 07:48:01 PM
Bitcoin transcends national borders. Satoshi Nakamoto would not belong to any country. He/she/they would be on the Refugee team.

Athletes that joined the Refugee team comes from somewhere but they are not been choose by their country because of many reasons so they are listed to the Refugee team. I think that he or they are very anonymous for us but someone should know them until now, my opinion is that he/they should be from U.S or from China. But still the Satoshi Nakamoto's identity's mysterious we can only speculate.
1374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Brain wallet password based on fingerprint? on: August 14, 2016, 07:43:47 PM
I just had an idea. What if there is a tool which algorithms create a brain wallet password from the fingerprint (or from multiple fingerprints of the hand)? Every fingerprint is unique. Therefore every password created by the algos will be unique, too.
Thus, one would never run into the risk of losing his or her password anymore. Perhaps there is something already. However, I do not know it.

First of all the idea is good but there are some other better biometric security way like Iris scanner that recently is introduced on the Samsung Note 7. 1376  Economy / Speculation / Re: Kim Dotcom Predict 2000$ per Bitcoin ??!! on: August 14, 2016, 05:52:33 PM
This act from Kim Dotcom can be a good marketing for bitcoin as many people will be interested in bitcoin and probably will buy some bitcoins and considering this as an investment, I wish the bitcoin price to be increased after the megaupload launch but it is not clear enough how will it operate!

I'm starting to think that he don't know what he is doing anymore , I mean only few days ago , he tweeted and asking people to send their CV's (recruiting Security experts , cryptographers and coders) so If he didn't have the staff , how he got the idea and how he knew It's going to work in the first place ? because till I know I don't understand how his project is going to work.
he's just a veteran on this category, maybe his plan is still only "plan" or "imagination" but this still have the possibility to be implemented in the real life, although the main point is integrates bitcoin micro-payments with a system called Bitcache. The new version will allow users to monetize file sharing with small bitcoin payments. which seems could working just need a bunch of techy person called dev team

We know that it is possible but we don't know the idea how is this going to be working as we don't know many information. I think that this will be way much better than faucets because people are going to get paid by others downloading his files which I totally agree. But I don't think that this will affect the bitcoin price.
1377  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to motivate women to use Bitcoin? on: August 14, 2016, 05:24:03 PM
how we could motivate women to use Bitcoin because I tried several times to explain what it is and how to use Bitcoin ...was very difficult and have not really managed only once ..

More and more women are being involved in startups and in the technology companies and I don't think that we need too much power to motivate them but we should introduce them that there is a coin that is decentralized and is innovative and showing the result of bitcoin where is integrated.
1378  Economy / Services / Re: 0.05 BTC bounty for creating signature for CRX + Penny auction on: August 14, 2016, 05:00:19 PM
The first link should not have https instead of http because I get this error: "Your connection is not private", secondly try to escrow the funds even though it is small for signature designs for all ranks.

1380  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: How do Online Wallets Survive ?? on: August 14, 2016, 04:21:46 PM
There are many online wallets like Xapo and Coinbase that do not charge any transaction fees or they pay that fees by themselves. I want to know that how would they profit from paying for their user's transaction fees ?
If no fees is charged then the transaction take a much long time or even might get cancelled !

They charge pretty good for people that want to exchange bitcoin there, they have some fees when you deposit money there or when to buy bitcoin and also a fee when you want to withdraw your funds so pretty much their profit is here.
