1301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Danger when buying/selling BTC in person on: September 01, 2016, 01:59:59 PM
I would not bring anything of value with me to a meeting with a stranger that I am not familiar with and have no prior knowledge about.
That is just plain silly. Roll Eyes
Have a friend come with you and have them hold the bitcoins in these type of transactions.

What can a friend do when the person you want to deal attacks both of you? For me I would take a online wallet with 2FA and transfer the balance to him after getting the money and telling the 2FA code through the phone, but again there is some room for stealing the money.
1302  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Method to get vps for a month on: September 01, 2016, 01:52:44 PM
So we actually pay 4$ for the method and 0.05$ for the actual vps.
So in total 4.05$ for a vps, then I would buy one for 1 dollar instead of buying your method.

With $4 you could buy only 4 vps if each cost $1 as you say, but if this method can make us to generate unlimited vps then I think that it worth, until now I received only a login password through VNC which in fact is not the method but will wait for OP.
1303  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Method to get vps for a month on: September 01, 2016, 01:43:19 PM
Please send the email id or something when you pm me because when I try to pm you back it says ""wait 360 seconds something".

My message to n691309
Not able to reply to you on bitcointalks because it says "wait 360 seconds somthing". Could you provide email or something so that I can able to contact you properly.
I will provide vouch copy please don't change the password.

Don't worry I will not change any data, I just need to test it, how and does it work, what is needed, how long is it working and any other issue if I face. The message you is from the forum which limits newbies account to 360 second for every action (post or pm).
1304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Official bitcoin logo on: September 01, 2016, 01:08:20 PM
...
This symbol : http://bitcoinsymbol.org is one of the best I have seen but Bitcoin is a free open source project create a symbol for you see fit or use one of them out in the Bitcoin realm.
...

This doesn't seems even close to the bitcoin symbol which is in the forum BTC. Since there is no official bitcoin logo, I would go with the second one, it is more friendly and only few colors comparing with the first one which looks too old.

1305  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you use a Bitcoin debit card? on: September 01, 2016, 12:38:08 PM
Just curious how many users use one of these..

I've started using Xapo and its pretty good actually.
I can buy whatever I want with BTC.

They have some fees,I tried finding some companies with lower fees but no luck.

They card costs 18$,I guess it was..Actually all companies want like 15$-20$ for a debit card.
Which is a good investment..I guess..

Which one do u use and what are their fees? Smiley

I have a bitcoin debit card but I'm not sure if I should use it or not because there is not my name but a random nickname so if I use it in ATM and if the card sucks there I should call the security or someone else to assist me to get back the card and if the name in the card is not the same as on my ID they would doubt on me.
1306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pros and cons of using new Bitcoin addresses for each transaction? on: September 01, 2016, 12:31:33 PM
Can someone please give me a list of the pros and cons of using new Bitcoin addresses for each transaction? It seems very inconvenient to use a new address each time.

If you want to mange how many bitcoins do you have then you can't check from lots of addresses (checking in blockchain not through the wallet), a bit mess about which address is in which wallet or something like that. The pros is that you are less trackable but not 100%.

1308  Economy / Services / Re: voting needed for logo competition on: September 01, 2016, 10:35:49 AM

Respect for both designs but I vote for the first because the color are more material design and is a bit smaller than the second one, the second one is a bit more complicated.
1309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Danger when buying/selling BTC in person on: September 01, 2016, 09:07:37 AM
So i was reading an article about someone who got robbed when he tried to buy in person 28000$ of Bitcoin
http://www.coindesk.com/florida-bitcoin-sale-knifepoint-robbery/
Personally i avoid dealings like this cause it is not easy to trust a random stranger.
How about you?do you buy or sell bitcoins in person? If yes have you ever had any bad experiences?

I have heard many people here in forum were scammed, or robbed when they tried to sell their bitcoin offline in person. This deal seems to be very huge and he should risk to much at once. For these deals is recommended to go on a safe place.
1310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How anonymus is bitcoin? on: September 01, 2016, 09:04:28 AM
I have seen that people in deep web that use "diffrent" meathods for bitcoin trading. So how anonymus is the regular bitcoin that most of us that have it in their wallets? What is the diffrence and what exactly are people in deep web doing to trade their bitcoins?

You should know how to use bitcoin to not let others track you, for this you should use as much address as you can, use bitcoin mixers which will mix your bitcoins. But still you are not 100% anonymous.
1311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin help poor countries? on: September 01, 2016, 08:51:25 AM
Can Bitcoin or any other altcoin help poor countries?
how? what can be done?

Bitcoin has made people's life easier because through bitcoin people can earn good money if they live in a poor country, for example offering any service and if they can't get paid through paypal because their country is not supported then bitcoin is perfect.
1312  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Have 100$ in Skype credits.... Looking to sell them for your btc at 40,% on: August 31, 2016, 02:15:55 PM
Have Skype credits I would like to sell at 40cents on the dollar.......

I.e. 10$skype cost u 4$btc
And so on and so forth.....
Min buy start at 10$skype....

Are you offering skype voucher code or skype account with the skype credit inside, because these are two different things and the second one is not recommended because skype can block the account if the credit was obtained in the illegal way.
1313  Other / Off-topic / Re: What can i do with 3 Bitcoin? on: August 31, 2016, 01:51:13 PM

1314  Economy / Reputation / Re: Fake Feedback on: August 30, 2016, 03:48:55 PM
I haven't conducted a single transaction with anyone on this site, and somehow I have a -2 and a -1 on my profile.

Are people just allowed to leave negative feedback without any proof of transaction?

I'm pissed right now because I've been trying to build history here to do legit business.

It is true that at the moment you have negative trust but unfortunately the trust system is not moderated which means you have to contact the user who left you the negative feedback and resolve it.
1315  Other / Off-topic / Re: Save you Bitcoin for your (grand) child / children? on: August 30, 2016, 03:43:20 PM
Bitcoin is a long term project. Therefore it makes sense to save small parts over a long horizon. Do you save Bitcoins for your (grand) child or children?

For those who do not have (grand) children (yet), would you save Bitcoin for them if you would have (grand) children?

Maybe we should think about the children or grandchildren but what are the best methods to save bitcoin for a long term, if we make a paper wallet it can be maybe destroyed after some years if we don't protect it very secure.
1316  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for an escrow to hold $50 for one deal. on: August 30, 2016, 02:15:13 PM
I can volunteer to do the job, would you allow a lower rank than you to do the job? Just in case you need me just shoot a PM then.

I don't think anyone would risk his money to send to you, you don't have any feedback neither any past trade experience so I don't think OP and everybody else would escrow the funds to you. OP I suggest sebastian too.
1317  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If one day BTC cannot be traded for cash, what will you do? on: August 30, 2016, 01:22:18 PM
I will spend all my bitcoins on Purse.io.

 Cheesy  Cheesy

Bitcoin is not designed just to convert them into cash but trading bitcoin for things and mostly for online purpose but also for offline in the near future where we can free purchase coffee in the restaurant. What would I do If one day BTC cannot be traded for cash is spending them for digital goods, gift cards etc.
1318  Other / Archival / Re: Would you keepuse Bitcoin if government says bitcoin is illegal in your country? on: August 30, 2016, 01:12:22 PM
Maybe I will continue using bitcoin even if it start be illegal in my country but if more and more countries does not allow bitcoin to be used then the number of people using bitcoin will decrease very deep then bitcoin will be useless and maybe I will stop using it.
1319  Other / Meta / Re: how can i change my username? on: August 30, 2016, 12:39:09 PM
And this is where you'd use the business portion of your brain and evaluate:

Should I spend $28,749.50 to change my Username on Bitcointalk? Or is it cheaper to create a new account with the username of my choice instead?

It is free to create a new account and the username should not be taken! Spending thousands of dollars to just change the username does not worth at all.
1320  Economy / Services / Re: [REQ] Phone Verification on: August 30, 2016, 12:37:40 PM
Hey, I need some phone verifications for some hotmail accounts. It can be from any country and I'll need about 5 per number. So if you have multiple numbers you can do an extra 5 per number. I'll pay 0.25 per code in bitcoin

i can provide you real phone numbers from Phillipines for your verification purposes. however since you are a newbie i will require some advance payment even for lets say 5 verification. let me know in PM if you are interested
Completed it for me.

And to those asking for escrow, I hope you realise fees for the escrow cost more then 25 cents.

Do you need any other phone verification? I have few numbers US and non-US so in case you still need it I would assist you.
