1401  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is 1000 btc Possible on: August 10, 2016, 06:59:05 PM
Is it possible to earn 1000 or atleast 100 bitcoins with trading Altcoins. If I buy some bitcoin at cheaper rate today and it's price goes up in future?Which alt you think has potential to make me 1000 btc

It is possible but it contains huge risk, the scenario can be like this investing in a shit coin for example investing 1BTC on a coin that is at 1 satoshi rate and after a while that coin gets pumped hard and the new exchange rate is 100 satoshi, by this you have made 100BTC
1402  Other / Off-topic / Re: In 20 years, what would you like to do with your bitcoin? on: August 10, 2016, 05:51:23 PM
i think holding 100bitcoin for retirement day in next 20years is good option, im sure in future bitcoin will be famous currency and 40% offline merchand use it like visa/ master card.
better is to use most of the bitcoin to open a business in the real world. I suggest to open a business related about the technology. because with technology we can help the development of bitcoin in this world.

We don't know how much the price will be after 20 years because until then there are lots of halvings and there will be probably lots of exchange hacks so the price will go up and will go down most of the time but I prefer more to invest them somewhere so you play with money rather than just saving there.

Obviously we can't say what will happen For me 20 years is a very long time. but if you ask me i will keep spending and trading my bitcoin like real money. no body knows what will be the bitcoin value in 20 years. better to use it like real money to avoid future risks.

That's what I said already, playing with the money investing and spending them (if you can and if you have where to invest/spend) then why not, maybe the price will go the moon but risk as much as you can afford to lose. I really think that it is still risky to invest in bitcoin even for few years so not even thinking for 20 years which is so far from now.
1403  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you Still believe in Fiat? on: August 10, 2016, 05:47:39 PM
I somehow feel more powerful when i hold my dollar bills in my hand. I don't feel a shit when i see numbers on my screen no matter how big they are. Give me a bag of 1$ bills and i will feel like i own the America :d

Fiat is not as practical as credit cards or bitcoin when you make payments but if you hide them somewhere, it is you the one who owns the money. Not btc devs, not mastercard ceo's, but you.

This is like holding physical gold, of course that you feel better when you have cash on your hands rather than digits on your screen. But as we see nowadays everything is going to be converted in digits so less and less people are using cash and banks encourage people to use more the bank accounts and credit cards to purchase or make transfers because they want to know everything about their customers where do they spend their money.
1404  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Withdraw Bitcoins to a bank account on: August 10, 2016, 05:43:54 PM
Hello guys, want to withdraw Bitcoins to a new bank account in Switzerland. How to confirm the origin of money? Which stock exchange should I use? What problems can arise? Or should I use bank in another country?
Thanks in advance!

How did you earned these bitcoin? If you can tell the same to those who will ask you then its ok, if not then you can say that you worked online for a company and offered x service and they send me more as a gift or something like this. You can order also bitcoin debit cards and withdraw them!

Seems that this is the identical laptop that you are selling here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1580609.0;topicseen so why have you created two threads for the same item? Lock this or that thread.
P.S without escrow nobody deals here, especially with newbies.
1407  Economy / Goods / Re: WTS New iPhone 6s Plus 64GB Rose Gold (GSM) $849 on: August 10, 2016, 05:25:33 PM
Hello ! I want to buy iphone in bulk do not know you can ship to Vietnam skype or facebook you do not, then we can talk through it. look forward to your reply
Will you accept on site escrow?
if you will accept escrow, you can find a lot of interested buyers here. Just my advice cause I think I will be interested too.

Guys you are bumping a thread which is almost 1 year old and if you check  the OP's profile you can see that he is inactive since he opened this thread so it's probably a random post from spammers all around the internet.
1408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US is auctioning $1.6 million on: August 09, 2016, 07:42:17 PM
I saw this news on thenextweb and was a bit curious how this auction will end, can anyone participate on this auction for example bidding only for 1 bitcoin or the bidders should bid for the entire amount of bitcoin? I'm afraid that the price will get lower because of this auction
1409  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Need someone to do a money order worth 124$ , I will pay 126$ in btc on: August 09, 2016, 06:00:20 PM
I want someone trusted to do a money order to USA , I will pay the same in btc with a tip.
Let me know if anyone could do this.

What exactly do you need, purchasing something online through paypal, credit card or? Is that a digital good or a physical good, does it need to be shipped? There are many scenarios that I would accept and not accept so let me know your request!
1410  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitfinex HACKED - funds stolen ! on: August 08, 2016, 09:46:08 PM
This illegal exchanger (https://www.bitfinex.com/) is hacked. Funds are stolen. Their value is unknown.

http://www.coindesk.com/bitfinex-shuts-down-customer-bitcoin-stolen/

It's so funny when they write "The theft is being reported to — and we are co-operating with — law enforcement."   What law enforcement when YOU are running an  illegal forex company(without licenses) ?!?!  Grin

They are liers and morons...

In the coindesk article it is mentioned that some of their users have had their bitcoins stolen which means that not users are affected? I have a feeling that because of the bitfinex shutdown the bitcoin price has dropped to $555 currently and with this trend the price is going to fall probably to $400 very soon.
So this is the reason why. Good thing two of my friends withdrew their funds there. Damn that hurts a lot in bitcoin price just one exchange site makes a lot of impact.

Seems that all users have been affected by the recent news of bitfinex where 35% of their funds will not be available for a while to cover the loss so not only a small number of users would have 100% loss on their funds. Seems that bitcoin price is trying to be increased in the upcoming weeks.
1411  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whatsapp to send privkey ??? on: August 08, 2016, 08:10:23 PM
Hi,  in light of the encryption on whatsapp these days is it safe to send a privkey to a relative who needs it?

If you have any other alternative to transfer the private key then don't send, whats up recently has added the encryption end to end but we can't never know what happens on the backend on their servers. Even telegram which was supposed to be the most secured messenger was hacked recently.
1412  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitfinex asks users to help in Recovery on: August 08, 2016, 07:37:20 PM
http://satoshibonus.blogspot.com/2016/08/bitfinex-share-loss.html

Bitfinex asks users to help in Recovery by sharing the loss.

Saying the truth 36.067% is a bit high for users but at least they are not locking the other funds (~64%), seeing how the other exchanges behave when they got hacked then bitfinex seems better than them, it's still better 64% than nothing.
1413  Economy / Goods / Re: iPhone 5s - 128GB for 0.3 bitcoin on: August 03, 2016, 09:02:56 PM
Hello OP. I'm also interested want to buy this mobile phone for your rate. but Of course I need to use escrow. without escrow I can't deal a red trusted user. the escrow will hold the funds until the product reach to my address.
I will pay escrow fee.
waiting for your PM.

Check the posts above, the OP had been hacked and I don't think he is still selling this iphone, checking his signature means that no one should deal with him until proves the signed message until 20th of this month. Also iPhone 5S 128GB does not exists only 16/32/64GB http://www.gsmarena.com/apple_iphone_5s-5685.php
1414  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitfinex HACKED - funds stolen ! on: August 03, 2016, 08:55:11 PM
+- 5 btc (deposited few hours before the 'breach') + 620.000$ + few months interests with them (guess around $645000), 5.600.000ZAR was still on the way (wire)

from my understanding those 5 btc are gone and usd i should be able to withdraw soon?

Does anyone have the phone number of Jean-Louis (in case it recently changed)? I still called him a month ago and visited him last february, but can't get a hand on him now. Doesn't pick up his phone (unusual) and hasn't replied my e-mail I sent 5 hrs ago yet. Do i have to worry about my usd funds? As soon as I get to talk to Jean-Louis I will book a flight to HK I guess. First want to know all the inside information available.

YES, you should be worried. book a ticket and fly to Bitfinex's office, if you know their address. it's not a joke or something like that but...Bitfinex will not give you the money back if you will not push them HARD. Do not go alone. take a few strong guys with you... Smiley

Man, you have around of 1 mil USD with Bitfinex (hard or easy money, it doesn't matter). Book a ticket now and get your money back from them. It's about USD not BTC and they must have them in their bank accounts.

Before you book a flight and go on Bitfinex's office I would suggest you to find someone there locally and check if they are still on that address because until now they would move or not, this situation is very stressful.

1416  Economy / Economics / Re: Can I know the reason for a fall from $650 to $600 on: August 03, 2016, 07:31:38 PM
Hello when the price was $750 and when it gone down to $650 then the reason everyone was saying as the bitfinex but now once again the price is going down can I know that what is the reason?

The price probably (and most of us think so) that because of the recent hack of bitfinex where ~120k bitcoins where stolen and really dumped hard the bitcoin price, maybe it's a good time to buy bitcoin as we hope that price will get back again.
1417  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex deposit problem, 5 days no coin on: August 03, 2016, 07:11:19 PM
Hello,

5 daya ago I sent a btc deposit into my poloniex btc deposit wallet. I have done this 2 other times with success from the exact same sending wallet. I have had a support ticket being processed for 5 days with no response. On blockchain.info it says it was confirmed and sucessful, along with my previous 2 deposit transfers to the poloniex deposit address.  I still have not received the coin, also there is no history of this transaction in my poloniex history, my older 2 transactions are in the polo history. My support ticket number is 58615. What else can I do to receive this coin?

I also had a similar issue in the near past but after contacting a moderator (you can write on the trollbox and someone from the staff should respond to you), since the transaction is confirmed, even if it isn't the transaction should be listed on the deposit history, but seems that the issue is on their system.
1418  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is unpredictable job. on: August 03, 2016, 06:59:04 PM
There are many people who lost their money on trading, because trading is unpredictable job, in my opinion i need:
Method ( i must have system trading)
Money ( i must have management of money and risk)
Mind ( i must can control my emotion)
Tell me your opinions?

Trading is considered as an easy hobby or job and most of people says that what you have to do is buying low and selling high but in practice things does not go so easy, it gets more and more difficult, you should be patient, join trading groups(if any) and reading the news.
1419  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitfinex - lost 65m (£49m) in HACK on: August 03, 2016, 06:51:43 PM
Really it's unfair too see how much the bitcoin price has dropped, I firstly though that only a small number of users were affected but seems that the entire exchange has been hacked? There is an updated from the bitfinex team that they are trying to trace the stolen bitcoins, but would they be able to cover the loss?
1420  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good idea to buy bitcoins now? on: August 02, 2016, 10:11:21 PM
In less than two days the bitcoin price has been decreased for more than 90 USD and it is still decreasing, at this stage is not good to buy bitcoin because the price can go even lower but it is also good because now the bitcoin is cheaper than last week.

I see it as a slow sell off.

And it`ll hit back near $300 zone lol. I can be wrong though, if there is anything that might make bitcoins acceptance of good news it can sky rocket.

Its basically everyone reacting to fear of the market not wanting to be a loser lol.

I think that I found the reason behind the recent price crash, the bitfinex exchange seems that has been hacked or some of their users bitcoin are stolen but I believe that not all users all affected by this more at: bitfinex.com. At this stage I think is not a bad idea to buy bitcoin as the price has never been so low in the past few days/months.
