Hey quick question, why do you answer to my questions and then decide to delete the post with the question?
Filtering the questions?

If I deleted I would not answer it. No idea.

That's done sometimes to keep the thread clean. The question is not deleted because it contained within the response.

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NEW XBY ANN] XTRABYTES - A NEW ERA BEGINS on: April 07, 2020, 10:10:19 PM
Could someone from Xtrabytes please answer the following questions:

- What does Xtrabytes expect people to do after seeing these ads? Xtrabytes is on two small exchanges, one of which is a DEx. Is Xtrabytes expecting the normal, every day non-crypto user who has never even bought from Coinbase to navigate through the Waves DEx or Crex24 to purchase XBY?

- What are these people supposed to do if they do manage to get the desired endpoint of purchasing XBY or XFuel? There’s barely any liquidity on either exchange period, much less for XBY and XFuel. Additionally, the remaining supply of XBY is extremely low.

- Xtrabytes has stated their main goal is corporate adoption, yet the team has also been very adamant about discussing token price, and has also stated that these ads should drive the price of XBY & XFuel up. Corporations don’t want the price to increase. That just means they’d have to spend more to purchase the token and use the Xtrabytes blockchain. As we’ve seen a few times in this space, projects typically offer steep discounts to corporations anyway. So, I don’t see how these ads will be a net positive in that regard.

- To further the second and third points, corporations would needs *millions* of tokens that are always readily available to purchase and with no possibility of those tokens running out. How will the corporations obtain these tokens? How will they obtain tokens in the future if and when the supply runs out? Why would they move to a blockchain that they will only be able to use for an indeterminate amount of time? Corporate decision-making doesn’t work in favor of Xtrabytes strategy here. The long-term benefit to the company just isn’t there.

- What we’ve seen so far in this space is corporations using their own permissioned databases. Obviously, these systems are not trustless, and many do not run on cryptocurrency as a result, but companies only care about the bottom line. So whatever they can do to save money, they will. The choice is a fixed cost (permissioned) versus a variable cost over time (trustless; Xtrabytes). There are also huge tech companies such as Oracle and IBM dominating the corporate blockchain space. How does Xtrabytes plan to compete with corporations with the size, reach, and every other possible advantage that companies like Oracle and IBM possess over Xtrabytes?

Thanks

Cameron, I want to first of all thank you for your very good set of questions. I hope this means we can start moving towards some productive exchanges of information in the future. However, this is just an acknowledgement at this point as its been a long day and we want to take sufficient time to give you the answers you deserve. We will get back to you asap.

Thank you,

Dave

Waves Update

We continue to monitor the Waves Exchange to see how we may be able to move forward in the most efficient way possible at this time. It was necessary for us to wait until Waves executed their migration before we could assess this situation properly to see how our gateway reacted.

As it stands, you can easily migrate (this is a requirement currently) your original account by the following steps:

  • Log in as usual through our gateway.
  • Click the Settings Wheel (bottom left side) and then click Security - copy your private key from here.
  • Go to https://waves.exchange/ and create a new password for your "accounts".
  • Select to migrate your account using Private Key.
  • Paste your private key and your account and balances will appear on the new Waves exchange.
  • You will have to search XTRABYTES and XFUEL to pin the assets (for the time being).
  • For convenience, you can also "star" each pair you want to follow for easy trading access.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE:

Our Waves gateway is still functional and secure for deposits and withdrawals. However, at this time the trading platform is not accessible from our gateway. Therefore, you will need to use 2 windows and 2 platforms; (one for deposits & withdrawals, the other for trading) with the current configuration, after following the above instructions.

As the Waves project finalizes their migration, we will upgrade our gateway with hopes that it will continue to function as it always did, with trading available directly through our gateway. There is no guarantee of this at this time, but we will do our best to make this work.

If you have questions about our Waves Gateway, you can contact us through #waves-support or via our website at https://support.xtrabytes.global/hc/en-us.

Thank you for your patience.

The XTRABYTES Team

Hi CCR. Not sure if you aware but Cameron has set up a twitter account in your name. It's clearly him as he repeats the same total nonsense there as he does everywhere else.

I've let the team know, so they can report.

Seems to me that would be illegal. No?

One would think so yes. Not to mention 2 years worth of libel.

We indeed would have a case worth fighting... But, I prefer to just move forward towards our goals and allow public opinion to prevail when all the information is on the table. These guys are a dime-a-dozen and not worth spending money to have the authorities go to their door.

However, I do need to thank you for your valiant effort, as a community member, to keep these guys in check... Great work!!

You know I thought you were a troll but clearly you are just a simpleton.

The person who believes in a project despite absolutely no proof of them having any tech and/or product - anything whatsoever - wants to call someone else a simpleton...oh, the irony.

Are you sure about that?
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NEW XBY ANN] XTRABYTES - A NEW ERA BEGINS on: November 29, 2019, 07:01:25 PM
10.000.000 XFUEL / month. You think the amount of XFUEL they get doesn't depend on the price of XFUEL?
The team is 100% believer of the technology and they keep repeating to us how XBY will revolutionize the cryptosphere and will be N°1 crypto.
This means the team expects at least a x100 on the price of XFUEL. So yes, right now they're paid shit but that's because XFUEL is low because they have nothing to show for.
But that shouldn't be a problem since as you say they have other jobs to earn money, and an investment like XFUEL is amazing for teammembers who hardcorly believe in the tech. Nothing to complain about here.

And honestly, if time is more worth than money, what's up with the 2 years of nothing on XBY's end?

I digress...
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NEW XBY ANN] XTRABYTES - A NEW ERA BEGINS on: November 29, 2019, 03:41:42 PM

The saying goes "Put your money where your mouth is" and they are not doing it.

The team are giving something much more valuable than money - time. Let's not forget that most of them have other jobs as well as families. They are building this in their spare time and yes I know they get Xfuel as payment but that isn't much is it. And, like I say time is much more valuable than money.

And back to deleting posts. How can you say being paid in XFUEL isn't much? If you convert it to $$ it's supposed to remaoin approximately the same. So being paid in XFUEL right now is amazing for people who really believe in the tech since the price will probably x100 and you earn a lot more XFUEL at this price.
What a ridiculous argument.

Excuse me while I pin this...

and BTW @Ganjamouse, here are the links to our social media accounts where people who have valid questions (not baseless accusations) can come to ask them:

Discord
Reddit
Twitter
Facebook
Telegram
Youtube

All these links are still alive and available for everyone who hasn't been banned. If you have been banned, perhaps you should ask yourself the question why that happend  Wink

I’m curious as to how you define ‘valid questions’ and ‘baseless claims’.

I have asked many ‘valid questions’ such as:

- A couple of team members Marcus and Nick stated in January 2019 And again in March 2019 that Xtrabytes would have patent-pending status in late February or early March. The post made in early March even said you’d have them in the next few days. However, as of November 2019, you have not even filed the applications. How were you going to get patents in February or March 2019 if you hadn’t filed the applications (And still haven’t)?

Additionally, Leon was saying patents would come by EOY 2018. How were patents going to be granted in 2018 if, as of November 2019, the applications still have not been filed?

As to avoid making ‘baseless claims’, here is an album comprised of screenshots of these instances: https://imgur.com/a/vPwelrK

Cameron0208 these "valid questions" have been answered several times already. People (me included) made mistakes, targets were missed and we are sorry for this. The problem with you is that you cannot accept this or the apologies. You only want to attack the project and its people, accusing us of being a scam, calling us liars and trying to make others believe there are no patent applications being worked on. People make mistakes, in fact you also made a mistake above:

"Xtrabytes would have patent-pending status in late February or early March...

and later:

"How were you going to get patents in February or March"

This is a mistake and I have seen you make similar mistakes (or are they on purpose?) with almost every post you make... you constantly twist things around in your favour to meet your agenda. We have never said we would have patents at any date, ever. That is a matter for the patent office, not us.

Yes, we have thought we would be at "patent pending" at times in the past and have shared dates given to us based on "normal timelines and circumstances", but challenges with the claims and descriptions section of our applications have prevented this (also well publicized). In fact, these very challenges is what lead to the Belgium NDA signing and first video, which was followed by the second NDA signing and video which was done so more members of our team could prepare for that seemingly elusive time when we get our applications submitted.

Also, why are you trying to pass one of our valued community supporters; Nick @ntsili (on Twitter), as a team member? As above, I quote you again; "A couple of team members Marcus and Nick..." This is simply a lie and another attempted manipulation of our readers on your part.

While on the topic of your ridiculous lies, lets not forget about this one:

https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/cbzps4/scam_alert_the_recent_photo_posted_by_xtrabytes/

Excerpt: "The conclusion is that the photo that was posted by Xtrabytes is not their photo. It was not taken by the team. It is photoshopped, which can be seen in the metadata of the picture, along with the amount of and the areas photoshopped. The most notable areas that are clearly and conclusively photoshopped are the logo on the t-shirt, the document on the table, and the computer screen, which show high levels of contrast and distortion - common proof of the photo being saved down from a site rather than being an authentic photo. Together, this proves that the Xtrabytes team photoshopped their logo on the shirt, photoshopped the document on the table, and photoshopped their logo and "POSign" onto the laptop screen."

Now I will just follow that up with a couple of videos where Danny is wearing the same shirt, just in case some interested readers would like to review these milestones:

XTRABYTES Video Discussion After the NDA's:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFJtcL14n4U

XTRABYTES Unscripted Testimonials from Frankfurt: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSBFAKsQCS4

So, this is why your posts are NOT VALID and are BASELESS... You are one of the worst trolls that attack this project and your posts are simply deleted as a result of that fact.

Thankfully, most of the XTRABYTES community has accepted the fact that we have become mired in various uncontrollable circumstances and have decided it is best to go about their personal lives and business, thus allowing us some breathing room to sort all of these challenges out. It would be nice if you and the other haters and trolls would do the same.

Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Since Grant Thornton published their own update earlier today we see no reason not to release our announcement regarding the phone calls we had with the firm's representative on October 8th and 22nd. https://blog.xtrabytes.global/general-crypto/cryptopia-and-grant-thornton-update/

I don't think there's any reason to be OCD about C-Patex and say bad things about them on the website.  You have to support small exchanges these days that hold your coin.  I am a supporter, not a FUD but be grateful your there.  If you can do better, do it.

From another post:  "All the great higher percentage staking coins have each found exchanges to be on after the demise of Cryptopia, Coinexchange, Novaexchange and Tradesatoshi.   CompoundCoin, VersionCoin, TruckCoin, InflationCoin, Bottlecaps, Stackbit, InflationCoin, BitcoinTalkCoin, Stackbit, etc."

Thank you for posting your opinion on this matter. We, however, have a responsibility to our community and we need to ensure that we provide them with a safe trading experience. We cannot endorse exchanges that list us without our knowledge and without providing any information that would allow us to asses the safety of their trading platform.

As I was saying, we will be publicly posting our news release after the representative from Grant Thornton reviews what we have sent him (today) and agrees that the information is accurate. It looks like their willingness to talk to us is part of a larger strategy that is mentioned in the following article:

https://cointelegraph.com/news/cryptopia-exchange-liquidator-asks-its-devs-how-to-reimburse-users

The fact that we have opened a communication channel with the liquidators is simply a tactic of good business sense. We are doing everything we can to protect our investors and if we can help shed some light on others in the crypto world, who may be in the dark regarding the Cryptopia situation, we are happy to do so. Over 800,000 people are affected by this hack and more than 21% of our XBY supply is involved. Helping to keep 800,000 people informed is an honor that we are happy to assist with and keeping everyone aligned, rather than scattered is much better for the crypto community at large.

I actually think its a good strategy tbh, more than XBY, Flash, ECA, Gnosis and a bunch of other projects lost in cryptopia too. The main issue though is I really think that this is like mt.gox and it might be hard to get the coins back in a reasonable time limit. Not sure if you was around during mt.gox but, alot of people are still fighting for their coins back

Let's wait and see what they have to say before we speculate and try to make comparisons to other situations.

That article explicitly states that Grant Thornton intends to speak with the developers from Cryptopia. It blatantly says ‘platform’sdevelopers’...

Perhaps you misread their announcement when you decided to make your fake claim.

Cameron, enough of your nonsense and don't ever ask again why we just delete your comments.

You know, I really struggle to not respond to these trolls ( which I will not, as I have learned and been guided by amazing people ) because I genuinely want to make sure that people get the right information. Of course, we (I) am not perfect, but we always tell the truth as best as we know it and have been told by others.

Anyway, that's my comment for now and we have more to come of course. I wish you all a blessed day!!

Long live XTRABYTES!! Wink

Also, amongst this challenging news, I would like to share a small bit of good news with you all. Golden and I are in early stage communication with the person in charge at Grant Thronton. We have received a reply to our request for a personal meeting that detailed some facts about our coins (ie. not affected by the hack according to Cryptopia staff, locked by Zoltan for insurance) and we are happy to report that he is willing to talk with us. We are trying for a date next week and will let you know as soon as we have more news.

From Grand Thronton website : "Customers did not have individual wallets and it is impossible to determine individual ownership using just the keys in the wallets."
So what is going to happen with that XBY if you manage to get it back ? Who gets it ?

"No detailed reconciliation process between the customer databases and the crypto-assets held in the wallets has ever been completed.
To determine each customer’s holdings we must undertake a manual process to determine what is held in the pooled wallets and then reconcile the information with that held in the customer database. We are hopeful this process will show us the holdings of individual account holders. This process is well underway but will still take some time to complete. "

that just reads like wait untill we are done not like individual negotiations.

Earlier today, Golden and I had a very good conversation with the representative of Grant Thornton, who is in charge of the Cryptopia liquidation procedures. He did express concern that information others have posted online since their group meeting was inaccurate and we have agreed to draft a letter, not only for the XTRABYTES community, but for anyone else affected by the Cryptopia hack. This draft will be sent to this representative for approval and afterwards we will make this information public. In other words, what you are reading elsewhere may (for whatever reasons) not be accurate. Please have patience and faith in the process. Golden and I are happy with what we discussed.

We are working on setting up some new options which will be displayed on the links below. Otherwise, at this time we only have Waves. We recommend using our gateway through the dex-entry link below:

An exchange doing it right, although we regret to inform (as posted by Nova exchange):

Dear Nova Trader

The Board of Directors of the parent company has decided to set a new course for Nova and reshape the value offer into a new crypto trading experience.

This means that on Monday, October 7th, trading on Nova Exchange will cease and close. At the same time the Nova API will be deactivated.

The Nova Exchange terms & conditions are terminated. New terms & conditions are announced today and will come into effect automatically 30 days from today's date (September 26th, 2019).

The most important part of this message is this:

1. This is purely a Business Decision.

2. There has been no hack.

3. There has been no fraud.

4. There has not been any wrongdoing of any kind whatsoever.

5. Nova Exchange will not assume responsibility for swaps or forks starting from today onwards.

Goobit Group, that owns Nova, also operates the well known Swedish bitcoin exchange service BTCX. Starting from 2012, our team is among the best and most experienced in the world in dealing with crypto assets. Now, even if we can’t disclose our exciting plans today, we can tell you that Nova, in some form, will enrich and play a key role in shaping the crypto future for the masses, however not in the shape and form that you know today.
.
What happens now?

Obviously you, as a trader, are encouraged to withdraw your funds as soon as possible. Our team stands ready to help you get a smooth withdrawal process. However, the rules regarding identification (KYC), as stated in the terms of service that you have accepted when opening your account, must, and will, stand.

No identification - No withdrawal.

It is as simple as that. Even though trading will close, we must comply with the law, and make sure that all funds end up with the rightful owner.

The Nova platform will be open for regular withdrawals for one month after this announcement; that is until October 25th at 23:59 (CEST). After that date there will be additional fees charged, and we can’t guarantee at what rate we can accommodate your requests. It might take up to 30 days, depending on the load. So please make your withdrawals at your earliest convenience and DO NOT deposit more funds in the now obsolete addresses that you have used in the past.

- Starting from October 28th until November 27th, there will be an equivalent to 0.0001 BTC custody fee charged at the time of the withdrawal request.

- Starting from November 28th until December 19th, there will be an equivalent to 0.005 BTC custody fee charged at the time of the withdrawal request.

- Starting from December 20th until January 27th, there will be an equivalent to 0.01 BTC custody fee charged at the time of the withdrawal request.

- From January 28th 2020 onwards the Nova website will be closed and users will have to get in touch with us to claim their assets.

- The custody fee will increase by 0.005 BTC every month on the 28th onwards.

The Nova Team is very proud and grateful to have been of service to you and we are thrilled to come back with the new products we're currently building.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

An unfortunate, although professional and correct announcement (from Nova) for your review. Please take action immediately if you are one of the very few people who were trading (trying to trade) XBY over there.

I personally think it is refreshing to see an exchange close the doors properly and not steal from their traders before hand. Kudos to them... In the mean time. Nova will cease to exist.

Please act accordingly.
