41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Old good airdrops on: October 16, 2019, 01:11:38 AM
But why don't you find those beautiful airdrops once, whose only request was to communicate an address to receive the gift?  Cry

Likely because the days of ICOs are over. Back then there were so many ICOs and airdops but in then majority of those ICOs turned out to be scams and abandoned projects. These days real projects are hesitant about simply giving away money because it is now associated with being a "scammy" thing to do.

It's ok because in the end, nothing is free in this world.
42  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you ever won a huge amount on gambling? on: October 15, 2019, 02:53:08 PM
In my experiences, I already won but a little amount of BTC only betting on a boxing fight which is Pacquiao-Thurman fight.

Now can I ask you, did you ever won a huge amount of money on gambling?
Share your experience.

Nice one, good thing you bet on Pacquiao.

Personally, i've only ever won big in dice games. Back in 2017 there was this one day i was feeling so down and so a though crossed my mind to bet 0.2 BTC, then BOOM! I won, but then feeling safe i bet it another time just to see if i could double it then BOOM! I was able to net .4 BTC just with 2 clicks of a button. Gambling is amazing, but don't push your luck. I lost the .4 BTC the next day playing poker.

45  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice - A small mistake emptied my wallet. on: October 14, 2019, 09:18:32 AM
A small mistake on dice made my wallet get emptied. Only mistake is that I didn't added an additional zero to the bet amount. Instead of 0.00005 btc I mistakenly placed 0.0005 btc. Further on the consecutive bets went for a double the value. This all of the sudden emptied my wallet. I didn't watched the wallet until the bet amount in the tab turned zero. Further watched the bet history and understood what big mistake I've done.
-snip-

Ouch. Just imagine what you'd have felt if you suddenly saw 0.05 BTC in your wallet, all because you made the wrong bet amount. We all know the risks involved with gambling and playing dice so i can't say that i feel bad for you.

I just that hope that wallet was really intended for gambling and that you were ready to gamble what you could afford to lose.
46  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Technical Analysis Bullshit or Not? on: October 14, 2019, 03:33:35 AM
people who dont understand technical analysis say its bullshit

people who dont understand investing and trading say investing and trading is a bullshit

here is the reality none of the trading system is 100% accurate

people who understand and practice the analysis will make money , i my self making profits using technical analysis

just ask yourself how much you have learnt and practised technical analysis , dont believe in this post you will get 100s of posts saying technical analysis will work and will not work , and knowing other things on whats going on with market is also important

While i agree with you, technical analysis can only go as far as giving you the advantage of trading based on historical trends. However, when it comes to crypto it is so easy for technicals to go out the window because of all the volatility.

If you want to be successful in crypto trading whats important is to make use of all your senses and make sure that you look at technicals as well as news tabloids. "Buy the rumor sell the news."
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Small Miners, how much do you make ? on: October 14, 2019, 03:22:29 AM

Most of the people here probably aren't married and they actually don't realize that mining rigs actually upsets most girlfriends or wives.

First issue is the noise. Even if you got GPUs the noise from all of them plus the box fans is going to get really loud, especially when you are trying to sleep next door.

Another issue is the appearance of the rigs and how it makes your place look like something out of the movie Hackers and overall makes the room look like a mess.

Then i'm really lucky that my wife supports me in my endeavours, crypto-mining and everything else otherwise. But you're right, there were complaints when i had an ASIC, which was is much louder than any GPU rig, but now that i've sold those and just have a few GPUs she has not complaints and is very supportive.

It's actually a great talking piece when visitors come to our house. Whats important is you keep your GPU rig and do really nice cable management, it can really look high-tech and professional if you do it correctly.
48  Economy / Economics / Re: BEEN IN THIS GAME FOR 6 YEARS on: October 14, 2019, 01:29:01 AM
Lot of people are making price predictions and many years ago I did as well. However, I stopped thinking in fiat and only thought about stacking stats. In the end we are part of a financial revolution much like Tesla in cars- uber in taxis. The financial market is in a recession when you have bankers, government official telling you we are doing great it's to cover up the truth.

I told some friends in 12/2015 that btc in few years will be 10 k . I am no market analyst I just based it on scarcity. Those same friends bought in 2017 and called me thinking I knew what the next target is and I told them shit, I got lucky I have no idea. Four years later  and now I am thinking scarcity again and 95k in a few years is my next prediction because why not we all love a number to gravitate to.

In 2016 saw a youtube video, and in there was a Chinese mining operator that did not speak english well  but would say just buy 1 BTC and many people laughed at him dunno if it was because of his accent or because he was a miner  promoting BTC. I thought about that back than and realized that 1 btc is attainable at 500 usd.

I would tell family and friends and got  a response like I will wait till it comes down.  If those people listened 1 year later would have profited well. Now I tell friends  .1 BTC  I  think for many that is attainable, now the response is did bitcoin not crash. My point is that I think if we educate fundamentals which is tough we might win some hearts.

Great post. I completely agree that we are in the early stages of a financial revolution that has potential to change the world. Now is the time to buy and disregard all the sort term bias, fud, or even technical analysis. If you don't have the time to learn about the inner workings of bitcoin then rely on it's fundamentals and act as a long term investor. Bitcoin has the potential to change the world and this has value.

With the upcoming halvening happening next year, it will surely be another upward push in value.
49  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 4 reasons why Bitcoin has bottomed out on: October 14, 2019, 01:15:58 AM
Hey guys,

I really do think Bitcoin has bottomed out right now.
1st we haven't seen any close below the weekly EMA and it acted as support
2nd Correction of 45% one of the highest ones so far
3rd Bullish divergence on the weekly chart
4th triple bottom reversal pattern

For my complete analysis check my YouTube video : https://youtu.be/XUyoGTJH8FY

Agreed, great analysis. I also feel the same way and have actually bought more bitcoin at the $7000 levels.

If we aren't due for an uptrend bullish cycle soon, i'd be surprised. All the indicators are screaming for the bulls to return and it seems like all we need to do now is hold and wait for the the value to rise. I'd highly recommend buying more bitcoin now, but as always, trade at your own risk.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Price Analysis: Bear Market Ahead on: October 14, 2019, 01:13:28 AM
Ethereum is fighting on the line after its recent Bearish trend, after a long-continued Bullish trend previous month. Ethereum which is globally designated at #2 in the cryptocurrency market is trying to pull itself back to the $200 mark.

Read More: TheCoinRepublic

I disagree, the past month(s) has/have not been bullish for Ethereum at all. In fact it fell from $300 to $200 now at $100++ levels. Personally, i think it is the opposite and feel like Ethereum is way too oversold.

It's a cycle and i feel like we're in for a bullish cycle very soon.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Experience from day one on: October 14, 2019, 01:11:18 AM
E t c, why haven't  my bounty tokens turned money? airdrops quickly get on exchanges and they are tradable but not bounty tokens, tell me whats your experience so far?

The problem is that the bounties today are not as profitable as before back in 2017. The hype is less palpable and there are definitely much less investors than what we previously had. Scams Companies and projects are paying less, if any at all, because there is so much demand from bounty hunters but very few actual investors to potentially profit from.

My recommendation is to look closely at what campaigns to join, only join big and reputable ones handled by well known campaign managers.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What other uses does GPU have? on: October 13, 2019, 02:26:29 PM

Any thing I missed?

You can help cure cancer.

For real, you can help scientists find a cure to life threatening diseases by joining folding@home endeavours. It's called folding i think because it simulates protein "folding" simulations that have multiple possible outcomes. Basically you lend your GPU to help find a cure to many diseases. Check them out: https://foldingathome.org/
53  Economy / Economics / Re: Taxless society idea on: October 13, 2019, 02:12:50 PM
If you'll try to replace taxes with printing money (which is effectively a tax on owning money), you'll just destroy your economy, because no one would want to own money and the inflation would be much higher than what would you expect from simple calculations. Taxes can be very complex, there are tons of rules that can increase, decrease or even remove taxes for certain situation, meanwhile printing money just affects everyone the same, so this idea is much worse than taxes.

Well said. A taxless society simply would not work in this day and age. Radical ideas like this, although they sound beautiful and rosy, are just idealistic adventures that have no place in a free and democratic society. I'd be more agreeable if we lived in a tyrannical communistic society, but luckily we don't.

A wise man once said, "nothing is permanent except death and taxes."
54  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the cheapest way to Exchange cryptocurency? on: October 13, 2019, 02:06:06 PM
What is the best and cheapest way to Exchange cryptocurency?

Without all most 0 fees!!

An exchange's worth should not be determined by trading fees.

I'd put more value on an exchange that has good volume, an easy to use interface, and more importantly faster transaction speed. When trading crypto, the volatility either brings in copious amounts of profit or loss, well enough to compensate for any very minor trading fees.

Trading fees also build legitimacy and credibility of an exchange because that is their only way of earning money. It is hard to trust a company that pretends like it doesn't like making money.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Funfair and Edgeless? on: October 13, 2019, 02:02:30 PM
I looked through a thread from a poster who mentions these 2 coins are in his top 10 coins under $1

This is what he posted and i will copy and paste his post

1. FUNFair - great team, great product, great communication.  Too many coins, but a burn is coming.  They are on schedule and have a better product then competitors.

3. Edgeless - they guys are the leader in online casinos.  Limited coins, 1st mover, and on point.  They will be opening their own casino in 2 Q 2018.  Only issue is, the graphic kinda suck.  BUT thats an easy fix.

He also posted 8 other coins as well but these stood out to me.  Does anyone have opinion of these 2 coins?  I took a look and these do seem like coins that could possibly go very high etc.

However the issue is many people mention the market cap is more important than the price.  So does that mean at the moment now when funfair is 3 cents and edgeless is 70 cents, then it is not likely for it to go up to say 3 dollars or 10 dollars etc?

Save yourself the trouble and instead just invest in bitcoin. The fate of unknown altcoins like these are tied to the fate of bitcoin anyway. Why? Because the value of these small cap altcoins are highly dependent on Bitcoin's value. If bitcoin were to double in value, that likely be the only time when the value of these coins would rise.

I personally wouldn't invest in those 2 coins, but of course trade at your own risk.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Brave browser ! For anti malware and blocking ads on: October 13, 2019, 01:57:08 PM
+1 for the Brave browser.

Also a fan of this brave browser mostly because of the monetary benefit/compensation as well. I read somewhere that they paid around $5 worth of BAT tokens monthly so i signed up just to try it. Eventually i fell in love with it because it is simple, easy-to-use, not much different from google chrome, but more importantly, IT PAYS.
57  Other / Off-topic / Re: GPU rental on: October 13, 2019, 01:52:02 PM
The mining rush is over and I really do not think that it will come back soon. Probably after some years, we'll see history repeat itself but not soon.

The problem is, after some years, our current rigs and GPUs will be so outdated and it wouldn't make sense to use them. It would be a whole new gold rush with new players and new mining equipment. I doubt how much profitable it can be tho as there are now more "woke" people that are eager to get back to mining as soon as it becomes profitable again.

Also yeah, i've tried looking for ways to keep my GPU mining rigs profitable, i even tried some "folding@home" but they never really paid enough compared to crypto. Best to sell rigs and GPUs now to gamers.
58  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat Money Losing Worth, Bitcoin and Gold Getting Important on: October 13, 2019, 01:47:30 PM
If you see, we might be heading towards a global recession.
That's what people keep saying around here, and it's probably because its been a while since we've had one.  That doesn't mean one is coming.

You're right, just because we haven't had one in a long time, that doesn't mean we will have one coming soon. However, the recent trade wars between US and China along with other negative global economic news seem like big indicators that allude to it.

I do seriously hope that a recession doesn't occur again because many people will suffer and i look forward to cryptocurrencies becoming the light and solution against such economic crises.
59  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Cryptocurrency Exchange on: October 13, 2019, 01:44:19 PM
Hello everybody I am Martin Gaptil . Hope you are well. But I am face some problem right now with my current Exchanger. It's ]transaction speed is so low.  So,do you know any which has a much faster speed? Please, give me the link....

Not so clear what you're talking about in terms of transaction speed, so below are possible scenarios and answers:

1. Transaction speed as defined by deposit/withdrawal - the fastest i've experienced is the Yobit exchange.
2. Transaction speed as defined by trading/order-fulfilment - i've always enjoyed Poloniex but seems like Binance is now a good exchange
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what is happening now? on: October 13, 2019, 01:39:59 PM
I feel like what is happening now is that we're getting ready and being set up for another big uptrend bullish cycle. For months we were at the mercy of the bears and even got to as low as $3k usd bitcoin value. But now, seeing bitcoin reach $13k again and then correcting down to $7k, it seems a higher low has been solidified and theres nothing left but to rise.

Of course, this is only my opinion, trade at your own risk.
