I am truly excited for this exchange to launch, hopefully soon.

Based on the marketing material and actual screenshot of the exchange, it looks like it will be very fun and easy to use. The user interface is actually so neat that i would transfer my entire portfolio into Telluria as soon as it comes live.

Hi Steamyty, thanks for doing this.

I would appreciate it if you could take a look at one of my previous posts:

663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: have bitmain come up with a PoW algorithm change resistant ASIC? on: April 26, 2018, 02:48:57 AM
So let people destroy cryptos ASAP

This isn't in any way a helpful comment or healthy attitude at all. I understand you might be frustrated about ASICs and mining but moaning will get us all nowhere.

----

Looking at the referenced article i don't see any indication that they have an ASIC that "can't be bricked by PoW changes." Am i missing something?
664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What does it take to mine as a beginner? on: April 26, 2018, 02:22:49 AM
If you don't know where to start then you should probably search google first. Just search "how to start mining cryptocurrencies."

This forum is usually the place to come to with more technical questions after you've done the basics. The basics of what and how to mine are available online. If you don't like to read there are even numerous videos that teach you the same thing.

To succeed in mining you need to learn the skill of research using google.
665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How Long Will The 3G Memory Graphics Cards Last? on: April 25, 2018, 08:38:10 AM
You are right. Most if not all 3 GB memory cards can no longer mine ETH using Claymore's miner as of last week's DAG epochs. My 1060 3GB cards are already getting errors when i try to mine ETH with them.

As you mentioned, Windows 7 is indeed an option but the problem is windows 7 can only support a certain number of GPUs. I for one will no longer be buying additional motherboards, CPUs, RAMS just to be able to run these old 1060 3GBs.

You deserve a merit. Thanks for this. Will take note of May 9, 2018.
666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Happy New Years! Seventh alt coin thread! on: April 25, 2018, 06:37:44 AM
Mine is good at nicehash cryptov7. After 4 days, I have only 5 rejected shares, so must be something on your end...

Aside from that, BCH is climbing very fast because of the upcoming fork I supose...

Didn't realize there was an incoming BCH fork. Anyway for those interested, here is a reference article:
https://www.inverse.com/article/44084-bitcoin-cash-hard-fork

To summarize what it says, basically BCH is upgrading its block size again from 8mb to 32mb. Man they do have some big issues with size. #overcompensating
667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can I stop hodling already and buy something? on: April 25, 2018, 03:58:39 AM
Seems like a shill post for ZEEK but i'll bite anyway.

Now (April 25) is probably a good time to cashout and actually buy something with your cryptorevenue. Bitcoin and alts are up and given the volatile nature of our industry, it might not last as long as we want. We're up a good amount since a few months ago and now could be a good time to cashout and wait for consolidation again.
668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ⭐️[ANN][ICO] TELLURIA - German reliability, European quality! 95% READY PRODUCT! on: April 25, 2018, 03:09:42 AM
This looks promising. I love how Telluria has outlined problems and immediately displays it's proposed solution right away. This along with the clear technological roadmap makes it seem like Telluria could be a solid exchange that could compete with the old and other big exchanges.

Don't you guys think so?
669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Happy New Years! Seventh alt coin thread! on: April 25, 2018, 12:24:56 AM
For those w/ 1080/1080ti's

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3370685.0

http://cryptomining-blog.com/9757-get-up-to-about-50-mhs-on-eth-with-gtx-1080-ti-and-ohgodanethlargementpill/

It's a tool that injects modified gddr5x memory timings during runtime. Kicks the ethash up another notch

Saw this thread too. Amazing work by devs but too bad tho it only works for ethash. Even if it gets your ETHlarges your 1080/1080tis to 52+MH/s it's still won't matter much because there are still other coins/algos that are more profitable. Or am i missing something here?
670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Russia is going to accept crypto! on: April 24, 2018, 11:53:13 PM
Hey guys, what do you think about the last news from Russia? Russian government will legalize crypto! Do you think it will pump market again?

Kindly please cite the source of your information. If true, then it will surely pump the market up again.

Russia is a heavy user of cryptocurrencies and has always been. There have been lots of instances where Putin has spoken out about the need for crypto. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this is actually true.
671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Stopping the Bitmain monopoly train on: April 24, 2018, 11:35:50 PM
The real key to stopping the Bitmain and this greedy policy is two fold.

1. We need to simply stop buying the miners. We as miners should by only a few batches and then stop. If we don't do this the difficulty will become so high only people with huge mining operations will be able to show a profit.
2. Absolutely do not under any circumstance mine using their Ant pool server as this allows them to keep profiting from the sale of the miners and it forms a monopoly of profit for them.
We must mine some where else. Anywhere else otherwise Bitmain will completly monopolize and control all the coin markets. Part two is the most important.

Not to rain on your parade but those 2 suggestions are highly unlikely to happen. The first being more absurd than the second. History has shown time and again that some people are driven by greed. There will always be that someone who will want to get ahead of the rest and buy that miner or point their rigs to antpool.

I guess the only way for us to fight back against bitmain right now is to support its competition.
672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Building Cheap Miners : My "Secret" on: April 24, 2018, 01:37:28 PM
What you think about using one simple ATX supply per card and connect their black and green wires for sync
Simple atx supply cost around 8$ and it easy cat drive one GPU

That would probably be highly inefficient. Each ATX PSU would have to run some sort of fan to cool the PSU components. So imagine if you had 8 GPUs and 8 PSUs. You would have an additional 7 PSU fans that would be running all consuming more electricity that would eat up your mining profits. It would be so bulky and space consuming too.

Not cool.
673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin or ETH for long term on: April 24, 2018, 01:23:54 PM
As you might have already read on this thread, you have to do your own research, especially if you are looking at a coin's long term prospects.

That being said, allow me to share my opinion that ETH is much better for long term because it can do so much more than just be a coin. We have already have lots of that and fiat also serves that purpose. Ethereum on the other hand is a platform and a system that can do so much more with smart contracts. Invest wisely.
674  Economy / Economics / Re: Will bitcoin be banned on Philippines? on: April 24, 2018, 01:08:39 PM
There is absolutely no way you can ban bitcoin unless you shutdown the entire internet. If you read more news online you will find that the 900M PHP scam in the philippies is nothing compared to what other hackers/scammers have done in other countries.

If you are living in the Philippines and are a bitcoin investor i wouldn't be worried at all. Buy more while you can get it cheap!
675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU mining will die in 2018! on: April 24, 2018, 12:57:26 PM
ETC should out perform ETH.  With ETH planning a POS hard fork, and Bitmain backing ETC, the inv case for ETC is going up exponentially.  Immutability matters, ETH is a bailout forked shitcoin, people will realize sooner or later.

I have always thought of ETH being a premined scam vaporware, something like 72Million Ethereum were PREMINED to small circle.  How disgusting is that? But yeah, I hold ETC for the lulz.
$LTC moon too

Where does it say that Bitmain is backing ETC? And if ever what you say is true, is that even supposed to be important or noteworthy? Almost everyone hates bitmain and whether you are man enough to admit it or not.

You are entitled to your delusional opinions but in no way is LTC better than ETH. Haha.
676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is POS Mining Profitable? on: April 23, 2018, 08:48:53 AM
It can be rarher profitable if you make a plan and analyze all the pros and cons.

Personally I've invested in Cryptonex back in October-November and keep buying some more from time to time depending on the rate and market situation.
So my profit includes:

1. Cryptonex project offers its users pos mining which I use regulary - The profit is 12% annually. To get the reward from mining, I registered a web wallet, bought some CNX coins, transfered it to windows wallet. And now I just keep it online .
2. CNX is increasing while it is stored in my wallet and brings additional profit.
3. Just now I've started dealing with Cryptonex p2p platform, and you know, it can bring some extra money on crypto purchases and sells.

This works for me and I like this project.

Reviving an old post just to shill for your coin? I can appreciate the effort.

Just some thoughts:

1. Cryptonex volume on coinmarketcap seems to be UNRELIABLE because the reference is the cryptonex exchange itself. This was the case with Bitconnect which turned out to be a SCAM.
2. Cryptonex website uses all stock photos. Makes it like nothing is real.
3. What is blockchain acquiring? What does "the world's first blockchain acquiring" even mean? It may intrigue some teenage ICO investor but in reality it seems like BS. The website doesn't even explain this in the FAQ. There is no whitepaper.

Overall, Cryptonex smells like a SCAM.
677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your thoughts on the Savedroid exit scam 'stunt ' on: April 23, 2018, 06:44:02 AM
I'm pretty sure SaveDroid lost a lot of investor confidence with that arrogant move.

It's not funny when you are playing with other people's investments. As an investor, i gave you money because i believe in the value of your new company. I did not give you money so you can give me a lesson on how risky ICOs can be. The CEO clearly doesn't know his investors well enough. If he spent the time meeting them in person instead of creating some south park memes he would see how serious this was.
678  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency Career Opportunities - Especially With Markets Being Down on: April 23, 2018, 02:46:20 AM
You just need to look at the services section to see how many posts are looking for crypto/blockchain developers. The sad part is that most of the projects looking for developers here in the forums are for scam projects that probably won't amount to much. Too many a time have i been offered to do work which entails developing a scam coin.
679  Other / Meta / Re: Anyone notice posts not being counted? on: April 23, 2018, 01:49:04 AM
Never had this problem before but it seems like my post count stopped increasing when posting in the Altcoin (Mining) section.
Can you reply to this post and remove it in a few minutes again? I've deleted it, since it's off-topic and you're offline.

Quote
After some digging i found that if you'll check my "lasts posts" page you will notice on page 47 there is a count of total 924 posts but as of this writing my post count is only displayed as 922.
This is what theymos said in a similar thread:
You have 3497 posts. 3 of them are in the serious discussion sections, which don't count. 6 of them are redirection topics, which don't count. So your post count should be 3488, which is what it is.

Anyone experiencing the same issue?
I've just tested it, and I have no issues. My post count went up by 1, as expected.

Thanks for testing LoyceV. Did some posting on the altcoin mining boards today and my posts started counting up again.

I'm thinking now that it was just bad timing in the sense that some of my old posts were deleted at the same time i posted which gave the illusion that my posts weren't counted.
680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Good Bye Mining Farms ... Say Hello to Masternodes on: April 23, 2018, 01:23:02 AM
Why would it be either-or?

Diversify.

~33% mining hardware
~33% Masternodes/staking
~33% trading portfolio

etc.

and within each, diversify again - divide between algos and ASIC/GPU, different MN and PoS coins, short and medium term trades, etc.

and above each - cryptos aren't *everything* (traditional investments, real estate, etc. still have their place)

Long time lurker, 1st time poster.  Flame away.

Diversifying is a good idea especially in crypto. Mining hardware and masternodes can still be profitable today assuming you do the necessary research and know what you are doing. With regards to trading, i'm afraid it's a lot more complicated than that. Unless you are someone who has extensive experience trading crypto or have first-hand insider information, i would highly advise against it because you will end up getting eaten alive by whales.
