Also if I were to go the GPU route, what would you guys recommend mining? sticking to one currency like ZCASH or diversifying the mining operation?
An intelligent strategy is to always mine the most profitable coin (this of course will depend on the GPU that you are using, as mentioned use whattomine.com), then just simply convert/exchange this coin to whichever you feel like would be more valuable in the future. Concretely, don't directly mine coin A for it's future value. Rather, mine coin B that will allow you to buy more of coin A. Future profits will always come.

None left I think.
Just difficulty from added hash power.
Not sure about this but wasn't the Ethereum "ice age" just postponed because of the metropolis-byzantium update? Meaning it's not removed but still built into the code but designed to activate at a later date (later block height)? Was wondering about the same as i'm also considering adding more mining rigs. 1 year is enough for ROI and some profit anyway right?

Its been a few weeks since these drivers were released and the latest driver update i see is on 12/19/2017.
Am building a new rig and i'm posting on this thread to ask if anyone can confirm the hash rate increase while using the new Adrenalin driver? Or would i be better of with the 17.11.14 version?

I'm mining on the official us pool. lately the reward is very less. But i receive batter reward during first couple of days. and it kept on reducing .
Are you really and if so why are you mining on the official US pool? Hash rate on that is even less than 1MH. You won't earn much especially now that the network hashrate is past 200++ MH. You must be a really passive miner and should earn close to nothing the way you are doing things. Your only option is to either go with the space pool or nanopool.

Haha very innovative. Kudos to the developer(s). I don't think it will be useful for much longer though. People will soon find out McAfee's crazy pumping tactics are just another fad waiting to get old. But anyway here is a free bump for your mcafee pump bot.

2018 will be a big year Spectrecoin, low market cap and very cheap coin compared with similar coins in the privacy coin market which i think will become more attractive once regulation increases
I've been seeing this coin (XSPEC) being actively hyped around these forums for quite some time now. I decided to do a little research and found nothing much of value in this coin. Their roadmap contains details like "major improvements coming soon" without really getting into REAL details that have value. No plans for migration with real world services, expansions, etc. I don't see how this would take off. Better stick with blue chip altcoins that have proven they have a real working product, like Ethereum.

Hi guys,
i tried to use NiceHash but it looks like the profitability for 24h is not so good... If i go on a website for example crypto-coinz calculator or whattomine, there is a better revenue....
How is that possible ? is it not supposed that NH has the best revenue for mining ?
thank you !!
Nicehash is not the best revenue for mining. They are a MIDDLEMAN who takes a cut of your profits because they provide you with "multi-algo auto switching software." If you want to maximize your profits it will be better for you to mine coins directly with other mining software available online. The only downside with mining by yourself is that you have to look at the most profitable coin to mine and switch mining software by yourself.

On the hardware side, check your risers and cables. If you can, swap out the GPU's risers and monitor it while mining for a few hours. If it still fails try switching PCIE slots with another GPU and see if that makes a difference. It could be also a bad PCIE slot on your motherboard.

I also killed my BIOSTAR TB250 recently.
I was trying to do a BIOS upgrade using their "BIOS flasher" utility and a USB with the updated BIOS. The damn thing hanged during the BIOS update and after 1 hour of waiting i decided to just try and reboot it hoping the update proceeded successfully. Unfortunately it didn't because when I turned it on again there was nothing. No post, just black screen.
The board's chip is dead right? Or can i still warranty/RMA it? I have another TB250 board but im not interested in trying to "hot flash" it.

how can i join his Pump & Dump Group?
Seriously LOLed in person. I can't believe this John McAfee pump and dump group is a thing now. And people are making profit from it. I'm very bullish on bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in general but this guy takes it over the top. Promising to eat his **** on live television if bitcoin doesn't reach $500k in a few years? How could anyone take that guy seriously. I guess people really like mad geniuses..

thanks for your take on it. I know your´e right ! besides that it was "free" its basically the mainboard from my ex´s pc that she left here like any other stuff she didnt needed anymore. as it was an expesnvie relation it´d be great lulz if this board manages to be the heart of a new mining rig. (im using Asrock H110 in my 2 others) Her ex PC would do at least something productive to pay back stuff which would be hilarious. But if its unstable i´ll ditch it. Just to clarify a bit of the "motivation" beside a mere lower invest Yeah if its unstable just ditch it, just like your ex. Lol. But seriously, i've been using a 4x PCIE splitter on one of my old motherboards and it works fine and stable. I guess its a case to case basis depending on the specific board or chipset. If you are able to get it work then you'll be able to build a cheaper rig. I guess the IF is a big question here and that leaves you to gamble whether or not to buy a PCIE splitter and risk wasting money or just get a new mobo directly.

You are refferring to what is commonly called an "airdrop." You basically got it right already. Just keep your tokens in your wallet. What they will do is analyze the entire blockchain and count the number of users with tokens. Then based on the result of their counting, they will then send tokens to each address that have their token.
You don't have to do anything. Just wait for the tokens to be added ("airdropped") to your wallet.

Fake, stay away!
These arent fake and you are protected by ebay/paypal which always sides with the buyer. I believe he means that while there is an actual product or power supply that will be sent (as you said guaranteed by ebay), it could be fake in the sense that the product quality will be almost next to useless. It will probably stop working after a days or even hours, its power efficiency will not be at par, etc., etc.. I've tried ordering power supplies like these before and they are nothing better than generic PSUs you can find on sale at a junk shop. Stay away!

In the next year ETH will overtake BTC as the number 1 cryptocurrency. I would unload your bitcoin while you still can.
While I am very bullish on Ethereum and believe that it is indeed technology more advanced than Bitcoin, I am skeptical that Ethereum can overtake bitcoin within a year. Bitcoin's market cap is huge and is actually 235 million compared to Ethereum's 63 million (based on today's figures). If Ethereum becomes more popular than Bitcoin we should be able to see the switch but I don't see it happening yet because ETH is a programming platform and basically a technical coin which initially caters to developers rather than widespread mass adoption.

Sharing mine as well, i'm mining on an 8 year old HP motherboard. It actually only has 1 16x PCIE slot and another 1x PCIE slot. What I did was to add a PCIE extender which allowed me to have an additional 3 PCIE slots. Been using the mobo flawlessly for a few months now.
So from my experience its a NO. You should not see any reductions in hashrate as long as your motherboard can support your GPU.

Etherdelta is back just like that? Ok but couldn't they give us a brief and clear summary of the consequences of the hack: money lost, who lost money (example: people trading between that time and that time), etc.? The only way to get people to trust you again is to be crystal clear.
I wouldn't touch etherdelta again until the time comes that they clarify these things. If it's user's money they lost or not, i don't appreciate the fact that this situation is taken so lightly.

Generally 6-pin risers are considered safer than molex. I've heard horror stories of people's rigs blowing up or burning down because of bad molex connections.
If you are looking to squeeze every bit of efficiency and profitability from your rigs, then I highly recommend you also get risers that are version 008. It is said that these versions are more power efficient than others. I can't remember where i got the tip from but I believe its in one of the topics here in this forum.

Welcome to the forums. Mining with a single GPU can still be profitable but it will depend primarily on your electricty cost per kwh. For estimates on how much you can earn with a certain GPU, you can always check whattomine.com. Just select your GPU then press the calculate button.
Because you're new i've done this for you and estimates say that you could be earning around $3+ USD for every 24 hours worth of mining based on an electricity cost of $0.2 per kWH.
This does not factor into the equation the power consumption of your motherboard, CPU fans, storage, etc. It is better to have more GPUs so the cost of running these is easily offset.

While it's not that simple because there really is no "safe" way to gain 1% profit daily (especially in cryptocurrencies), I believe the following points below would help you achieve the same.
1. Trade on an uptrend. I know this is so vague and obvious but its really worth mentioning that you really have to do prior research and see what coins have a bright future. Research and see what coins are also being hyped.
2. Trade high volume coins. The volatility of these high volume coins is usually good because they easily jump between +- 1% all the time.
3. Trade with a larger capital. By trading with a larger capital you can easily gain more even with very small changes in the coin's value. Buy and sell within small changes in price but do it often. Just make sure you gain enough to cover trading tx fees.
