One reason for erratic hash rates could be that you are overclocking and undervolting your cards too much. What settings do you have on, and what pool are you mining from? Would you mind posting your miner's stat page? You should know that there is a difference between reported hash rate, calculated hash rate, and even average hash rate. Lots of factors need to be considered and posting more information will help us help you.
942  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: WhatToMine alternative, I forgot the name on: December 07, 2017, 12:28:32 AM
Another alternative would be NiceHash's profitability calculator. Although it gives estimates in BTC only and pretty much with their fee already included.
It's the first calculator i ever used because it's so simple.

Here is a link: http://nicehash.com/profitability-calculator
943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: can i mine crypo currency from pc or moblie ? on: December 06, 2017, 01:25:09 PM
Mining from PC is definitely easy and you should do a simple google search to find out how. There is a ton of resources available to teach you how to get started mining. I suggest you look for "CPU mining monero how to." For mobile mining, it is not recommended at all, you will overheat your mobile device and instead of earning it will cost you.

945  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any word on amd vega hash rates? on: December 06, 2017, 08:04:48 AM
I've backread a few pages but can't seem to find the lowest power consumption possible for a VEGA 64 mining monero, anyone?

I know this isn't the selling thread but by any chance anyone willing to sell me a second hand (but working well with no issues) RX VEGA 56 reference design (MSI/XFX/PowerColor/Gigabyte)? I am willing to escrow payment amounting to $750 for the card alone and extra for shipping to Asia. I just need one to complete a rig.
946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 570 nitro+ power consumption on: December 05, 2017, 02:54:02 PM
Don't start at -cvvdc 875. All cards are different and yours may not be capable of going to core voltages that low. You could try with -cvddc 900 and then if it doesn't crash, slowly start lowering in increments of -5.

The devs have decided to pause the signature campaign for one week. After this week, a decision will be made if it the campaign will be resumed or closed. Sorry for the inconvenience.

HA! Joke is on me then. All this time i thought the campaign was still on-going. Oh well.

Quality posts are quality posts.
949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Help]Unstable power usage mining Ethereum on: December 02, 2017, 03:58:51 PM
The pictures you posted are for FB usage, and in that case that graph going up and down is normal. I believe what you should be more concerned about is how your hash rate is going? Do you also have problems with your hash rate going up or down? If its at a constant 20-23 MH then you should be fine. Don't worry too much as long as your rigs are stable mining and not crashing.
950  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why isn't there one good ETN pool? And where is all the network hashpower going? on: December 02, 2017, 07:24:41 AM
What pools have you checked? I used to use hashparty but there are times that they go offline without payment, even when the hashing continues. Just yesterday I was only paid for 3 hours worth of hashing when in reality it was mining the whole day. My advice is to STAY AWAY from hashparty.io.

I'm now using electromine.fr, almost the same hash rate and fee is lower (1%).
951  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] $30 voucher for HelloFresh healthy meals for only $5 (have 2 pieces) on: December 02, 2017, 04:07:09 AM
Interested. What is the use by date?

Its not explicitly written on the card, but its use by December 23, 2017.
If you are getting both i'll even sell it for only $8 instead of $10.

Thats weird because all you need to follow is the guide on the monero reddit. Here is a link to the one i followed:
https://www.reddit.com/r/MoneroMining/comments/74hjqn/monero_and_vega_the_definitive_guide/

Have you tried the device manager disable/enable trick?
Here are the basic steps:

1. open device manager
2. click on display adapters
3. right click on your vega
4. click disable
5. wait 3 seconds
6. click enable

Tell us how it goes.
953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: is bitmaindeposit.com legit ?!?! on: December 01, 2017, 03:36:14 PM
I would really watch out for sites like these. Even just one antminer is a big investment you should not take lightly. Regardless of how rich or affluent you are, imagine all the hungry children in asia you could feed with that amount.

Anyway, just a tip, you should always try calling their advertised office number first. If you can get a hold of someone speak to them and try to ask them questions. Ask them for proof of business registration and the like. Legit companies will be able to provide you with what you need.
954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Rx570 bios modded on new motherboard / win os ? on: December 01, 2017, 03:14:17 PM
Welcome to the world of mining and BIOS modding.

what happens if i need to install the card on another rig? Will the card be not recognised and then i d need to uninstall drivers with ddu and run patcher again?

You install it normally. Plug it in and run windows OS. It doesn't matter if the windows OS is not yet patched with the pixel patcher. It will display error code 43 but you will still be able to run windows and view your screen normally.

If i have 6 cards already modded can i install the 6 alltogerher and run the patcher? Or i need to do it one card at a time with only one card on the motherboard?

It is always best to do it one card at a time. Basically, install GPU, turn on windows, let windows install the driver, shutdown computer, repeat.
955  Economy / Digital goods / [WTS] $30 voucher for HelloFresh healthy meals for only $5 (have 2 pieces) on: December 01, 2017, 01:35:12 PM
Hi everyone, I have a HelloFresh (hellofresh.com) voucher worth $30 i'd like to sell (i have 2 pcs of $30 voucher cards). I'm just not interested in special food and would rather have bitcoin. Here is a pic of the discount card with the coupon code blacked out:

You can check their website, they sell real meals with chicken and pork, and delivery globally.

I'll be selling it for only $5 worth of bitcoin each. If buyer wants escrow he/she will arrange it himself/herself. Otherwise we just go bitcoin first.

956  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: gtx 1070 1080 1080 ti why so much hate on the 1080 on: December 01, 2017, 03:43:07 AM
At $480 a 1070 Ti on Equihash has about the same ROI timeframe as a $500 1080 at 80% power limit. The 1080 mines more coins though. On other algorithms like lyrz2z the diffrence is even greater. I'd take a $500 1080 over a $480 1070 Ti any day.

https://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/zcash-mining-calculator/?h=540.00&p=140.00&pc=0.10&pf=3.00&d=6388676.13701398&r=10.00033440&er=0.02990100&btcer=10208.00000000&hc=480.00

Despite the fact that "the 1080 mines more coins" the problem with your $500 1080 GPU is that it consumes more electricity than your 1070ti. More electricity consumed, more expenses, less profit, longer ROI, etc, etc.. This is all compared to the 1070ti which has an average power consumption efficiency of 4.7 (check VoskCoin's video for reference), you will have better profits.
957  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Miners stopps and goes to 0Mh on: December 01, 2017, 01:28:30 AM
I use to experience this all the time when I was starting out. As the previous posters mentioned, it could be a bad bios mod, but to be specific, you may be pushing your cards overclock or undervolt settings too much.

The fact that it initially works means you did the bios mod process correctly, the problem lies in your settings. Try and reduce the coreclock/memclock slowly maybe with -5 increments. If that doesn't work and considering that you undervolted it, try adding more power/voltage slowly in +2 increments.
958  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PICK THREE!!!! on: November 30, 2017, 05:11:42 PM
Choose 3 alts with brief reasoning. Which do you think are best?

1. From the top 15 in Market Cap.
2. From 16-100 in Market Cap.
3. 101+ in Market Cap.

Interesting way of soliciting altcoin picks. Anyway here is my brief contribution:

1. Ethereum - Of course, there is no doubt that ETH is the king of altcoins at the moment. Solid project.
2. Zcash - Its a very mature coin with stable devs compared to the other coins listed. Technology is unique too.
3. Monaco - Allows users to spend anywhere, without fees. Lots of potential right there.

First of all welcome to the forums. You've come to the right place, but please do your own research before asking questions like that.

You question is very vague and it seems like you are just starting out. That question of what to buy, where to buy, and even what to mine has been asked literally THOUSANDS of times. Thats why people made guides for newbies in mining. You can easily find all these guides by doing a quick google search. Here is a guide i found for you in 5 seconds:
https://www.lifewire.com/cryptocoin-mining-for-beginners-2483064

Start from there and ask specific questions if you still have them.
