I don't think Bitcoin will replace dollar in future as dollar is a global currency and everyone everywhere accept dollar but Bitcoin on the other hand is nowhere that popular. Moreover Bitcoin can't work offline so it can't be used as regular cash like dollar
Dollar being the most used currency cannot be replaced by bitcoin. When we calculate the users of bitcoin and dollar we're very small in number. To reach equal to them we need to travel lots of years. In my thinking bitcoin will serve as an alternative to the conventional currency that we use whether it's dollar or yuan doesn't matter. Well, it is basically a dollar now can never be replaced. Because the dollar is the currency most used or preferred by most people, because the dollar is the place where all countries cooperate in it. But it does not cover the possibility of the dollar can only replace bitcoin, but it all requires a very long process. actual dollars and owns bitcoin or different market, so I'm sure one could replace if you bet it takes a long time Why Bitcoin need replace Dollar? It can running as digital cash for payment online and replace some payment gate: Internet Banking, Visa/MasterCard, Western Union ... better than become to currency for outside.

I'm not sure bitcoin will replace the dollar immediately, this is because the dollar is the USA currency which is the reference of all countries for the transaction.
yes maybe you are right bitcoin can't replace dollar, but anything can happen. Popularity of bitcoin from last few years shows that bitcoin will get accepted by almost every country in next few years. So maybe after 15-20 years bitcoin replace dollar but for now it cant

Dollar remain and strong as global currency and cannt replaced by cryptocoin. Bitcoin not strong and spread around the world and there is no bank that gives credit to its customers, so bitcoin still a virtual currency and hasnt touched conventional world of finance.
yes there is no doubt that dollar is still the Strongest and popular currency of the wrold but i think that bitcoin has the potential to beome the number one curency of the world. i think very soon peopole the bitcoin users will increase then it may be possible that the trend of the people change and they start using bitcoin instead of USD.

Bitcoin is never going to replace the dollar not now not never, however bitcoin is going to be able to gain market share as people begin to use bitcoin, basically I think in the future people will accept bitcoin all over the world, so you could pay in your local currency, dollars or bitcoin. i also agree with you that it is not so easy that bitcoin will replace Dollar i think it will take a lot of time, i think it is also depending on the interest of the people that if the interest of the people will continue increasing then then the interest of the people will increase and may be it become possible to replace Dollar.

I didn't actually get you. Each bank gives credit. And also bitcoin has touched the conventional world of finance. Bitcoin is used in many financial services. Huge amount trades are also carried with bitcoin. Bitcoin has a wide growth. but still the fact is, it cant replace any centralised currency including dollar

Bitcoin is made up of a dollar. Maybe in some respects it will replace the usual currency, but in general there is not.
Bitcoin is not made up of dollar and either any other fiat. Bitcoin was introduced by a unknown group of programmers under the name of satoshi nakomoto. The system is peer-to-peer, and transactions take place between users directly, without an intermediary. Bitcoin is not made up of any fiat in the world. It is just a piece of internet which made it.

Thats true bitcoin were created with the main purpose of allow to saving a lot money over all transactions of any size. The concept started like a test, allowing anybody to trade anything without any third entity between people, that will raise the transaction costs. Bitcoin were created to allow us to have plenty control over our money, something banks does control and manage over fiat, some people believe bitcoin will replace their currencie, but it isnt the purpose even if it happens.

Now bitcoin is mostly used as an investment not for transactions, transact with bitcoin using expensive fee especially for small value transactions, I don't think bitcoin can replace the dollar

Dollar remains a global currency. And bitcoins are created to make it easier to transact. Owned networks have not exceeded the ability of dollar making it difficult to replace dollar.

In my own point of view bitcoin can't replace dollar even bitcoin has been declared a legal currency in the near future because dollar is the number one currency in the world that everybody use this money. And dollar is more popular than bitcoin even bitcoin has a more better price than dollar. Actually both Bitcoin & dollar are different concepts. Both cannot be compared to each other. Dollar is a centralized currency whereas bitcoin is a decentralized currency. Both cannot replace their place with each other and neither bitcoin can replace any of the fiat currency. Bitcoin was launched as an anonymous crypto-currency and now it has a immense growth.

Not actually. Bitcoin is a decentralized cryptocurrency and dollar is a centralized currency. Dollar is been used by a particular nation whereas bitcoin is used globally. Yes, bitcoin will surely grow much in next 15 years and perhaps it might also be used as an online payment everywhere but it cant replace dollar.

Bitcoins need to go a lot of improvements before removing bitcoins from the face of earth. I think bitcoins will simply be treated like bitcoins without replacing them forever. I believe that bitcoins will be made legal soon but treated at a level equal to conventional currencies.

I'm not sure bitcoin and all cryptocurrency can replace the currency let alone the dollar which is the world's largest currency. Certainly to replace the dollar must be calculated from marketcap, and according to existing data, bitcoin is not more than 1% of USD marketcap.

As bitcoin increase it's adoption dollar will to continue to be popular as well as their economy is improving. Bitcoin is a new invention and I like this to progress but when it will be regulated by the government the hindrance will be bigger and it will not grow as much as we expected. People are trusting bitcoin because it's away from the government's platform, bitocin is decentralized which is opposite from the government.

But mind you…every country needs their own unique currency, cause that’s what makes a nation. Bitcoin is already above dollar, but I don’t think it will be replacing it as a currency, rather another country’s currency might.

I second your thought that people are investing into bitcoins because governments have no role in the transactions of bitcoins. The legalization will definitely give governments somewhat control over bitcoins resulting in heavy taxation. Eventually, this will decrease the popularity of bitcoins.

It will not happen soon but maybe on a long term. The bitcoin is also depending on the dollar these days. There is also another downside if that happens because the dollar is used a lot by average people and also the banks will not let this happen.

It's possible but it would be hard because the government will not give up their right to let go of something they have control of. We know that bitcoin's demand has been increasing but still there are so many people who doesn't know about it and these people will not just easily give up their bank account because of a currency that the government has no control of. It's something new to them and unless if majority of people will shift then they would also do it. Bitcoin will not replace dollar soon but will be an alternative currency or investment option.
