Bayern Munich in the Club World Cup seem to be the only European team that's thriving in the competition so far, as they are the only side from the continent to have won their two games. That's two in two and one more game remaining in the group stages. Today their counterpart Borussia Dortmund will be up against Mamelodi Sundowns and the funny thing is that, they might lose or draw that game I'm judging from the recent events that going on in the competition with the European teams.

Still early in the competition, we only really start to see who is likely to make the final on e we get to the knockout stages.

You would expect Dortmund to win, it’d be quite embarrassing if they can’t beat Mamelodi Sundowns who I’ve never heard of before by the way.

Yeah it's still early but after two games then it's no longer early because there's only three games to play in a group and to be sure of qualifying, you need 6 points. Wow, it's surprising that you don't know Mamelodi Sundowns. It's a South African team that places in their top flight league, that means if you don't know Mamelodi Sundowns , that might also mean that you don't know Auckland City FC, Urawa Red Diamonds, Ulsan Hyundai etc.

Bayern Munich cen even make it out of the group stage it doesn't mean they are playing well let's wait till they are grouped in the knockout stages where they get to face some good teams that's when you know if they are doing well or not.
Teams like Mamelodi Sundowns others can not be compared to Chelsea, Real Madrid, PSG and ATM, despite seeing some funny results from the European clubs you can not compare Mamelodi Sundowns to the teams I mentioned that's fact.

Kovac had his excuse ready when he was asked for the bad performance and he said it was the weather and since the Africans are used to hot weather, Dortmund didn't have the same positive conditions as they had. Sure, the weather, what else.

This Dortmund team is not impressive at all so far. Guirassy is doing what he is supposed to do, but the team as a whole needs to improve a lot or otherwise the Bundesliga will in a best case scenario and like the last season did.

On paper, there are no major concerns, Dortmund chances of advancing to the last 16 are very open. But of course, Niko Kovac must fix his defense line which looks very porous, Dortmund must not concede 3 goals in one match if they want to advance further in the Club World Cup. I don't think European teams are overrated rather I think they are not being serious in the competition because they are underrating the other teams that are not part of them (European teams). Dortmund didn't find it easy in their game likewise other European clubs but Dortmund can compete with Bayern Munich next season in the German League if they will add to their squad and decide to focus on their league instead of making the champions League their main focus.

A standard story for Dortmund - after a series of bad games there is a series of good ones and vice versa, many at the moment think that finally serious changes have occurred, but no. Last season, Dortmund showed phenomenal results after the change of coach and they were able to rise from the depths to the Champions League zone, but now I see all the same signs of instability. Sometimes I think that if you correctly guess when Dortmund starts a bad streak (or vice versa, a win streak), then betting on them you can become a millionaire 
But at the start of next season I will just wait first and if there are no signs of obvious progress I will throw them out of my cash bets for the season, last season I burned a lot of multi-bets because of them.

They better take the competition serious because I believe that in future, this competition would be the highest after the world cup. Any team that can be very serious with this competition and win it is the king of all clubs in the world and not just only in Europe. The first team to win the competition will make history. Because for now even we all almost believe that the goal of the big clubs is more directed towards testing their new squad because indeed the preparation with the new season is quite minimal for now as well as Dortmund.

From the 2 matches they did it was clear that although the scheme was not much different but Kovac seemed to want to try more to optimize a suitable attacking scheme even though he was quite comfortable with the scheme of 3 defenders and 4 midfielders but for the attack he still wanted to try a few things.
I think this condition is quite good for Dortmund even though it cannot be denied that their defense is still not solid but Kovac can still anticipate this and I think he needs to think of several options if in the end these 3 defenders are not capable enough to support his scheme in the new season.

I think it is understandable, perhaps some managers are worried and prefer to avoid the risk of their players getting injured, so they do not take the Club World Cup too seriously. If that happens, it will certainly disrupt their journey towards next season. However, the Club World Cup can be a very good event to build chemistry between players, and also with managers. In addition, each manager can certainly give more playing opportunities to his second string players.

Bayern Munchen have been very impressive so far and are leading Group C, while Dortmund look to be in second place in Group F, but they have the same number of points as Fluminense. Overall, I think both Bundesliga representatives will easily reach the round of 16, both will probably be more serious when they are in the knockout stages.
