Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread

So I think most people here agree that Bayern will win the Bundesliga. I really don't know of any team that can consistently perform well over the next 32 matchdays and has a large squad.
Anyone of a different opinion? Hoffenheim? Leipzig? Dortmund?

I can only think of a scenario, where Bayern kind of beats themselves, i.e. they struggle with motivation after having won the triple in last season. Problem is even with a struggling team from Munich, the other teams are often too dumb to take advantage of it, laying an egg here and there and not being able to beat Bayern in the direct matches.

Only Dortmund can match them a little in terms of quaility and depth, but they are often shaky even against inferior opposition as you could see in Augsburg. They put themselves in difficult situations frequently - even at home - where they are in danger to lose valuable points. And this is because they aren't as mature team as Bayern, lack some mentality at times and there are missing some vocal leaders imo. Lots of good and technical skilled players, but too many in the end (yes that can be ). Hummels/Witsel could be such leaders and guide the younger players, but it's a bit against their personality.

Leipzig doesn't have the quality like Bayern and Dortmund have (Poulsen, Forsberg, Kampl etc. are not that good), but they are very well organized and rarely have a bad day. And probably the best coach among these 3.

All other teams have no chances. Not even Schalke with their new coach

This is a scenario which I have thought about the last years. How can you motivate yourself again and again. I haven’t found an answer.

Even the 2nd league has dismissed its first coach. Schiele from Würzburg. He had led the club from the 3rd league to the 2nd. Schiele was even traded as successor at Hoffenheim. Felix Magath told in July, Schiele is still the right coach for Würzburg. 2 months later he has a different opinion...

I would do it in a heartbeat And I guess I wouldn't do that much worse than Wagner. I think there are only very few people in the whole world who would not want to earn around 2.5mln per year with a relatively easy job compared to others. There is a huge pressure from bosses, fans, media etc., but all this money is a good compensation for that. Imagine you do this just for one year - you are basically set for life then. And Wagner still gets paid his full wage until his contract expires in 2022, easy money

The two biggest teams in the German game. I have to say, I think Bayern will win but Dortmund are such a you t, exciting team, they will definitely make it hard for Bayern.

Bayern won the treble in 2013 and the following season they won league title and the Pokal :/  i hardly doubt the current group of players will struggle with lack of motivation, most of them are young, talented and hungry for more glory.

talking about Bayern, Super Cup is tomorrow. The Bavarians struggled against Sevilla and then got outplayed by Hoffenheim, yet Dortmund moneyline odds for tomorrow's match is above 4/1 in every bookie 🤔

I would give Dortmund a real good chance to compete with Bayern if they would have a different coach Favre is not the coach that could bring the best of these young talented players to the surface. Jürgen Klopp for example would really light up Bayern with this Dortmund team. Apart from that I am of your opinion that I don't see any team that can compete with them this season. I also believe that the enormous loss of income of the clubs due to Corona will make Bayern even more dominant in the next years.

I think Bayern does this sometimes have a very slow start to the season and are 4th-6th zone trailing by up to 8 points some times, but then pick up from there and go on their flawless streak thereafter, I might join you around 8-10th week 😌😌

I agree with you, sometimes Bayern is moved slowly in the beginning season. Their defeat against Hoffenheim is their encouragement to win the Bundesliga again this season..  once again we have to realize that no team always wins every game, 1 or 2 defeats from 30 to 50 games is an extraordinary thing and Bayern have proven that..

When it comes to the Bundesliga title, even an unmotivated Bayern team will be enough to win it in the end. The problem is that all the competition is just way to inconsistant. Dortmund has so many young, talented players but somehow they keep struggling season after season to win matches where they are the clear favorites. Don't know what's the problem there. Maybe Favre just doesn't know how to prepare the team properly and give them the right tactics.

Other teams like Leipzig, Bayer, Gladbach etc. are even further behind Bayern.

What I think can become a problem for Bayern is their relatively small team. With all the matches ahead of them (Super Cup, DFB Pokal, regular Bundesliga matches, club world cup ... and whatever there is) players will get exhausted. In particular when you almost have no summer break, no winter break and most of your players also play for their national teams. That's the reason why I think Bayern will also make one or two transfers before the end of this transfer window.

But only if you are in only for the money and plan to retire afterwards. Because whoever will become Schalke coach probably destroys his reputation as a coach in the process of trying to be successful on Schalke   Tedesco, Breitenreiter, Weinzierl ... for all of them beeing Schalke coach wasn't really benefitial for their career.

Schalke somehow reminds me of the HSV. Also a team with a huge fan base that is falling way behind the expectations, with financial problems and with a lot of drama in the management and the executive level (Kühne, Tönnies).

I can't wait to see who they have in mind as their new coach. I heard Beierlorzer has some free time now   Or they should call Peter Neururer.

Well, it's Manuel Baum as the Sportschau reports and who we know from his stint at Augsburg. He wasn't super successful there - only had one full season in the end, where Augsburg finished in 12th place - so not sure if he is the right coach for this messy team. I would have liked a more experienced coach for a change, whom the players fear a bit

But I can live with Schalke being mediocre for the time being, since I can't stand that club. Dimitrios Grammozis was also in the mix and with him they surely would have relegated; with Baum they stand a chance and maybe he can build something from scratch there.....

Bayern will be without Sane and maybe Alaba, but i think they have the edge even without these two players, Dortmund doesn't convice me defensively and Bayern are hungry for a 5th title this year

I've added Bayern ml to a 4 fold at almost 7 odds...gonna wait a bit more to see if we get better odds in asian handicap, looking to add Bayern -1.00 to a single ticket

I actually wanted to bet on the Supercup final, but I am not really certain about how the match will end like you. It's exciting to see how both teams will perform after each of them had unexpected defeats in the league last weekend. Dortmund may well have a good chance of winning because they had a break after the last season, which Bayern did not have with all the CL and European Supercup matches. Therefore, the heavy defeat of Bayern against Hoffenheim could only be the start of a weak phase, which Dortmund can take advantage of today and we could well see a surprising result. Just saying

Schalke fans were hoping for Rangnik and Baum is what they get  On the other hand ... if Grammozis was the plan B, they should be happy with Baum.

But I highly doubt that Baum is the right choice here for Schalke. Problem is probably that there weren't really better alternatives available or willing to commit to this herculean task. Priority number one for Schalke now has to be to avoid relegation, nothing else. Next season they'll (most likely) get the McKennie millions from Juve and with them more possibilities on the transfer market. Maybe some loans can be a good option now to bridge that gap and strengthen their squad.

The better, but riskier way for Baum and Schalke would be to trust on players from the "Knappenschiede", their youth academy.

Well I believe in Bayern but I am still hesitating to make some bets since overall my predictions are 50/50 if we exclude shitty weekends  
For the moment the result is bayern 2-0 Dortmund (09) after 35 minutes of gameplay, Bayern needs 3 more goals to secure the match!

And as many times Bayern Munich has got the luck in the past the goal from Kimmich was a very lucky one and has given Munich the win.

Yes, I think this is beginning to be very comparable. The problem with HSV was that they kept saying "This year, everything changes. This year we are starting." And that attitude broke their necks in the end. If they had started everything slowly, had smaller goals in stages, things would look different today. But the financial commitments and personal ambitions were simply too great.
Schalke must be careful that the same thing does not happen to them.

I believe Bayern is a little bit exhausted but it still won vs Dortmund. This dip will pass soon and Bayern will find its rythme again then I doubt Dortmund will be able to fit it.
I wrote earlier Dortmund 09, since I expected many (9) goals in that game, mostly to be scored by Bayern obviously which partially happened (5 goals), well at the end another conquest, congrats Bayern
