Hello,
Having trouble receiving an IOTA tx send in my new wallet.
My balance shows 0 although it shows the Tx in my history.
Should I click Rebroadcast or Replay? It shows "persistence 0%".
Also it seems like my Receive addy is different than it was before. Not sure if these automatically change.

The last 9 letters of your address is the checksum. So an address in the GUI has 90 letters (81+9). wait for the confirmation and in the mean time, you can run the spammer under the Tools. Spamming can help you to get your transactions confirmed quicker. |

And I personally believe that it's way better to have all of these technological resources, whether it be storage, processing, electricity, bandwidth or whatever trade in 1 'Economy-of-Things' rather than split each resource into its own token. I'll give you the other two, but maidsafe is a huge project and SAFEnetwork would be extremely valuable IF they ever actually pull it off. IOTA doesn't change that. IOTA is a very different project, it's apples and oranges. |

I am not commenting on the broader vision and intricacies of SAFENet of which I am not up to date on. Just to make sure we're on the same page. I am not talking down to any of these other projects, I think their visions are good and I am impressed with what they have achieved respectively, I am just saying that when it comes to technological resource trade it makes no sense to have one token per resource. |

Yes, this is what I call 'perma-nodes' which will be incentivized to permanently store larger sets of data via micro-transactions. Essentially a 'Pay Per Byte/Tryte' model. This will be built as a module or service on top of the core IOTA network. |

It is very common for people to misunderstand what maidsafe is doing, it's certainly not the kind of project one can appreciate the implications for with a cursory glance, or 30 mins of reading. Their vision has always been Secure Access For Everyone (SAFE) and "Privacy, Security and Freedom" by replacing the server model... since 2006 with safecoin as part of that vision long before btc existed. But yes, most people think it's just a data storage solution... probably a good thing to stay under the radar given how disruptive and subversive it really is under the hood. I do find it weird that the most interesting and innovative chainless consensus solutions know so little about each other (the maidsafe guys don't seem to know much about IOTA either). I suppose there are a lot of bright people existing in their own busy and creative bubbles. I know you're a busy guy, but if you do get a few hours spare one day I'd encourage you to dig a bit deeper and poke around to see what they've been doing. I think you'd be impressed, as would they if they took a closer look at what you'd achieved in such a short time. Anyway, enough derail... IOTA rocks and will change the landscape for settlements and data transfer, there is no denying that!  |
