There have been quite a few scammers in the Iota space. I remember Child Harold and Cryptoknight took quite a few BTC combined and now another 5k usd lost. When doing otc trades doing escrow is obv a must but you must also make sure you are doing the escrow with the right person, there are a lot of impersonators on Bitcointalk and on the slack channel. Hopefully Iota will be on exchanges soon so trading is much more safe.

in crypto, people should be aware of using PGP encryption, this is the basis when there is a doubt about someone's identity.

I got scammed twice on BTT before. Should I ask BTT to stop the ANN? BTT wouldn't do it even I asked. There were only two parties I could blame, me and the scammer. If I got scammed once, shame on the scammer. If I got scammed twice, shame on me.

Problems like these will gone once we are on legitimate exchanges , to get there asap everyone should run a spammer because before going on exchanges we need to get to 1 million transactions. Also we should get the big deal up as quick as we can because it will open our product to a bunch of people which will bring volume - bigger exchanges - roi - fullfilment of the iota vision being used as the software in iot devices
perhaps in future here https://bitsquare.io/

Scammers tried the same way with the slack profile from Seccour (profile pic etc.). Not only at the slack, also here they try it in the same way.
YOU made the mistake. ONLY YOU! Not the platform nor the slack trading channel (btw, others are able to handle it without get scammed). And Dominik just told you the truth with an ironic statement. Because, that´s clear, you don´t get it with any reasonable arguments.
With all respect for your loss, if you would write such a bullshit to me i would answer the same.
You should have made a back check of the profile from Dom. Just klick on the username from one of his postings and than compare the information (username for example) with the scam profile. Easy as that.

Everytime I run the client and try to send Iota (to Big Deal) my internet connection is cut and I have to reset my router. Never run into this problem with any other crypto client. Any ideas?

I'm using v 1.0.3 and the link below, it saves having to sync, just unzip it straight into the IRI file. http://forum.iotatoken.com/t/hourly-backup-of-iri-database-download-link/527This works perfectly for me and I can send coins very quickly any time I try. I have heard others having router/internet connection issues with v1.0.4

yumei refused to provide a proof that he was scammed so I put him into troll category. All his post on this issue will be removed together with posts of others who quoted him.
EDIT: Done.

I did not want to call out yumei as a fake because there was a 1% chance he really got scammed. But to me it was obviously a lie. He gets scammed for 10 btc
and yet he spent most of his time trying to say Dominik's harmless comment is a serious warning against iota as a whole. Btw according to yumei Dominik
is the main lead super dev of iota as well as Captain America, the inventor of rice, and the king of Narnia.
