Big deal is fully funded btw

I see 90% funded.  What's your source?  I hope your right! Cheesy

Jason (on slack) has promised 5Ti as soon as his manual claim is processed. We are at 45Ti and his 5Ti will get us to our goal.

Edit; when his claim is processed, 5Ti will be deducted so he doesn't need to send anything, so essentially we are already 100%.

Sweet!  I was hoping it was soon to be completed by a whale!

A Personal Quote on BTT from 2011:
"I'd be willing to make a moderate "investment" if the value of the BTC went below $2.00.  Otherwise I'll just have to live with my 5 BTC and be happy. :/"  ...sigh.  If only I knew.

If one can not confer upon another a right which he does not himself first possess, by what means does the state derive the right to engage in behaviors from which the public is prohibited?

Newcomers - Just be aware the wallet can take 30-40 hours to sync. Currently using 1.0.4

1.0.4 shouldn't be used. 30-40 hours is too much to be true, what is your connection speed?

How would you explain IOTA to a person saying "Same old shit - Syncing blockchains, sending txs - I have been doing that with Bitcoin and the likes already for years" ??

You can download and send this one page IOTA flier (IOTA_flier_generic.pdf) to your friend - http://forum.iotatoken.com/t/connecting-to-your-local-iot-meetup-groups/267/3

If they are Chinese, you can use this better one - http://forum.iotatoken.com/t/iota/920

Start by saying that IOTA has no blocks nor chain, it's Tangle. A completely new paradigm in every sense of the word.

if you look closer, every iota tx is free, and every tx is confirmed independantly (kind of), no need to wait for x amount time for "batches" of blocks to confirm. the more users/usages of iota network the faster it confirms every tx.

This way iota scales easily. The more users the better. With traditional blockchain the more users/tx the slower.

I may have to buy some of this crapcoin.  I saw a lot of people think it's a top candidate to hit $1 billion.

What an insult!

At least $2 billion.

This must be awesome if IOTA has a 2 billion market cap, but ethereum has almost 1 B now, maybe the target is long term for IOTA, maybe hit it in 2020
