Noise is growing louder that Cleveland is interested in the 25-year-old, with NBA reporter Marc Stein revealing on Wednesday that the Cavaliers are eyeing a potential trade.

I was actually thinking about this at the time they want to buyout Kevin Love. Ben Simmons is their target to be listed in their roster but they need more space to build a team around him.
To conclude, I don't think Ben will ever be back in Philly and I don't know how the fans will react but some sides of the story is not yet revealed.

I agree that it's mostly on wear and tear but I'm reminded of Olynyk's arm pulling which resulted to Kevin Love being sidelined for a long time. Also, with Kahwi's landing on Pachulia's foot which wasn't supposed to be there. CMIIW but these were called as normal fouls.

I guess at this point where every team has included "flopping" as part of their training, the commissioner has to make a stop of this by putting a heavy penalty on a player that is proven flopping, high paid players gets the biggest penalty, and let's see if they'll still continue to do it.

You're probably right that penalties for players would be an effective way to stop flopping, but I doubt that NBA will do it in the coming years.

They won't do that because players might launch another protest through the NBPA causing another standoff.

Who would not remember that, dirty players has no room in NBA. That Patchulia's act really impact the future of the Spurs as they had a good chance of beating the Warriors in that serious, and I think that foot of Pachulia really has the intention to hurt Kawhi the best player of the spurs.

Maybe the young generation will appreciate the NBA today, but if they will look at the old games, they will appreciate more what is basketball.
I know it's not MMA but seeing a game that is physical, just makes it more exciting than just a 3 point shooting competition which looks like an all star game.

Getting Curry to be an ambassador of the project requires enough money, I think they are really serious because they want to be popular in the crypto space by partnering with the popular personality in sports. They are moving in the right direction, I would say, at least they tried their best with an aggressive form of marketing.

What is that game? is that a preseason game? because I believe the regular season will start in December, it must be a preseason game, if it is, I don't think the Lakers will let their star players play, I'm sure they'll save it in the regular season.

October 3 is the start of the preseason, the LA Lakers and Nets will open it with only one game on that certain day.
And yes, you are maybe correct, the starters might not play or they will, let's just expect limited minutes from them since preseason are mostly for rookies and bench players.

I didn't notice that the NBA will start soon, at least preseason is still exciting too, though not as exciting as the regular season. I would not expect a lot but seeing them play in just a few minutes, that's already a good display to the fans and the fans will be so happy with that.

We have a betting thread also, but it's not active yet, probably bettors are waiting for the regular season before they will start putting their money.

Well, Kevin love doesn't seem interested in any kind of buyout right now. His agent Jeff schwartz said that he is not interested in negotiating a buyout right now as he has two years and $60 million left on his contract with Cleveland cavaliers.

They sure have a plan before the deadline, they are just looking for the best trades for now, and only if they find one will they will release Ben.

I think Ben Simmons is one of the best players in the NBA despite having bad performance in the last playoffs, but that was the only time where he struggle, prior to that, he was really contributing and especially in the regular season, so I believe the problem was the implementation of the game plan that time, it's not him as the coach knows his strength and weaknesses.

I think pre-season is full of fun. Not more than the actual season but still, as it is for rookies and bench players, we get to see their potential. We get to know what they are capable of and it also helps to grow up there confidence and it helps them correcting lots of mistakes. And about the betting, yes I agreed, people wanting to spend their money wisely, so bookies will get a huge response after starting the regular season.

Yes it's obvious that they are still looking but it seems nobody wanted him bad enough to meet what the Sixers management are asking. Other teams must be thinking they will have no other choice but to lower their demand in exchange of Ben. He's not the type of player that can carry a whole team after all.
