Maybe he is just showing off one side of his basketball skills? He is not known to be a playmaker, of course he is more of a shooter, but with Klay taking the shots outside, maybe Steph just think of becoming the point guard in this game. For sure if this is a close one, the complexion will be very different as he needs to score and help Klay. Let's watch Draymond next game, they need his presence in the middle and the energy he can bring to the team.

Just like Lebron, maybe he is trying for another way to help his team because not all the time his way of playing works especially in the NBA playoffs where the games are more intense and tricky. With their current lead in the western conference, it's a good idea to try for another way to win other than his usual thing. That's why I wonder when I looked who was the star player for their win today, it was Klay rather than Steph.

They are just on the second place, behind the Suns and tied with the Grizzlies. So there's a long way to go before they can secure the top position and I think they will remain in the second place.

But the win against a top team and Steph not scoring as usual is a big scary to think. What if we have 3 players scoring 30+ points in a game? Good game by Klay and after the game he is very emotional because he has somewhat on a slump since coming back from the injuries.

Klay got his best game so far since his comeback, I'm happy for him, now that the playoffs are coming, it's the time that we need Klay more to be consistent and produce this kind of performance in the game. Beating the Bucks is a huge one, they are the defending champion so I can say that the Warriors really have a shot to win in the NBA Finals this season.

This is just the 2nd time this season Steph Curry ended up in a single digit in points. The last time was against the Miami Heat on January 3.
1/3/2022 - 9 points, 10 assists, 3 rebounds.
3/13/2022 - 8 points, 8 assists, 5 rebounds - Today.
But he didn't shoot much so that's okay. 3/7 FG 2/4 3pt
He didn't force it and just became the playmaker or used his threat to give his teammates an open space. That's unselfish of him and the Warriors are lucky he would sacrifice his stats for the win.
Draymond will be back next game, it will be a different Warriors again.

He doesn't care about the stats in my opinion, as long as the team wins, even if he doesn't score double digits that fine with him.

Remember that when Durant was in the Warriors uniform, Steph was not taking the limelight. And it was Durant who carry  the majority of the load in the regular games. So Steph is used to it, just look at how happy he was seeing Thompson to score the way he did damage to the Bucks.

Yeah, this is what I like about Stephen Curry, He is very down to earth in the court and focus on the win, He will step up on the game if he see that his team mate is not in a good shape to make a score. Actually this is the main reason why the 2 best sharp shooter stay in the same team because they compliment and give way to each other whoever has good shooting accuracy for that particular match. It’s very rare on NBA teams for a 2 same skill player stays in the same team for a long time and play together always as starting 5.

There are a lot of duo team before them, but maybe we haven't seen maybe in history because it's usually a big men plus guard, like Shaq and Kobe, or Malone and John Stockton. But you are right, Steph is just focus and motivated to win the game. He let Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole to be the main point in this game against the Bucks and it's a very good win for them as they are back in a streak and then they stop the Bucks winning streak as well.

Yeah, there’s a lot of solid duo in the past but I only see few duo that has a same main role in the team like Thompson and Curry as splash brothers. The only duo that I know that has this kind of same role was on Spurs Duncan and Robinson which is known for twin tower. Besides that most of duo are compose small and big player just like what you said. I enjoy watching the current GSW unlike before when Durant is with them since they are already too OP and the splash brothers is always limiting there performance to give way on KD performance.

Same here, the original lineup of the Warriors was the Curry, KT, and Green, they are their own big 3 and they didn't start as all-star, they really work their way until they become a good team and also individual players. For me, it was really the coaching staff that made the warriors better, even if there are plenty of changes, they are still a strong team and now that KT is healthy back again, they'll surely be a championship-caliber team again.

There's some hate on Durant before because OKC was really a good team but he choose to join the Warriors to win a championship, the fans did not like it because they make a super team and that makes the NBA not fun to watch. Now, these players have their own team and I'm happy with what I'm witnessing this season because weak teams before are starting to be more competitive and to be honest, I really don't know which team will win in the NBA Finals this season.

Last night, the biggest game was GSW - Bucks I think. Bucks were being favoured by bookmakers by a slight margin. And their doubt got real after GSW defeated their opponent by 122-109. Thompson showed an extraordinary performance compared to his previous ones. He scored 38 points which played a significant role in this victory. And interestingly, Curry wasn't even like in the field. He got only 8 points in around half an hour play-time which was terrible. And for Bucks, Giannis was the best as always by 31 points.

Thompson gets better against a better team, and he showed that he is really back and can compete in the playoffs. When Klay gets hot, he is very unstoppable and he just showed to the Bucks what it's like when they will face in the NBA Finals.  Grin

Yes it was the biggest game and yes the Bucks were the favorites at that time, although the Warriors were not that far as the spreads was just -2.5 to get a x2 for their win.
But everything changed when the game started. The favorites was Bucks and it was stretched to a higher spread. Giannis and Middleton tried their best to keep the lead as reachable as possible but it was not enough. Poole and Thompson was just too hot to be stopped and thats why they claimed the win.

The most interesting part is Curry only scored 8 points and yet the Warriors still beat the Bucks. It clearly tells that the Warriors does not only defend on Curry, he can struggle in the playoffs and we can still expect that his team will win because other players will step up for him.

Also, do remember that Green is still not back in the line up, what more if he would be available.

If AD just keeps healthy even more than half of the season, they might have been in a better position.

They should consider trading Anthony Davis in the off-season while he is still valuable. Continous injury will deflate his value. He is a good contributor on Lakers and he always proves that even coming back to an injury. On his last comeback from injury, he is producing good numbers right away. But that was all useless if he will remain injury at most games every season. I'd rather trade him as a priority and Westbrook as second.

Unfortunate to see good young players hitting injuries at their prime. A waste of good talent.

Trading AD will be the best decision to be done by Lakers since in the first place he's injury prone now and this disturb their team rotation because they don't know if when he came back to the line up. I'd rather make westbrook stay because he's always available and we can say that he is still on his prime, maybe for this season he's not clicking due to frustrations he receive but once they get a better rooster next season provably they can make this line up work better.

It will be a good decision if ever there's a team who is willing to accept AD who have a high salary rate, we know that he's still a valuable player and a good asset but he's so vulnerable now and the entire league definitely know that. But yes, we don't know unless they try because maybe there's some lower teams who's willing to sacrifice young players to accept AD.

The point is, Lakers should not be carry by anyone, by a single one, by a veteran.

It's not just about Russel Westbrook that always a bad night but he and Lebron is not the only players in the Lakers that needs to step up. Anthony Davis is nowhere to be expected too to give Lakers a boost since already injury-proned even at young age.

Lebron's other teammates should also do their best. If someone is having a worst night, they should try to cover it.

It's proven, the Lakers without LeBron can't win 5 out of 10 games. So, how do you expect his teammates to step up when LeBron doesn't even know what is an off night because he has been carrying them all season long.
Westbrook could've been a good offensive primary option, but his turnovers is holding back from that kind of role.
If AD just keeps healthy even more than half of the season, they might have been in a better position.

Then just remain what it is? No step up from his teammates? Then this team is doomed together with all their players aside from Lebron. Smiley

About Westbrook's turnover, if he able to cover those turnovers with a good production, it's good than nothing. Unfortunately, he's not the Westbrook we are seeing before that can give big numbers for his team. His prime days is over but still a good help.

The problem is already there. No more trades will happened from now until the season is over. If Lebron's other teammates won't adjust and step up then they should bid goodbye for the playoffs this year.

Cleveland Cavaliers are not doing so good these days. Lost 8 out of the last 11 games. They seem to be struggling a lot on the offense. When the threes just won't go in, they are helpless and cannot get a win. Happened again last night against Chicago Bulls. Bulls were of course very good also and especially on the defence they did quite good, but Cavs were just also so bad. 20% three pointers percentage against a big team like Chicago, in this day and age of NBA, you will probably not going to get the W. I am not optimistic about their playoff this year, they need something big on the offensive side.

Yes and that was really unusual to see him like that. On that 9 points production last January 3, he attempted 17 shots on which only 3 was made. Different on that tonight's performance where even he only made 8 points, he's not attempting too much shot. Maybe he feels his stroke is not good that night but still he tried his best. Instead of forcing his way to find his rhythm, he provide a support instead on his teammates.

And it's also worth noting that the Warriors always in a lead the whole game making it for Curry to just play relax*** and smoothly so maybe that's one of the reason he not force himself on doing lots of field goal attempts than he used to be.

Among the games tonight, Suns - Lakers game is the most attention getting one to me. Suns are the absolute favourite team to win this game. And they are one of the best teams in home games also. And Lakers are one of the worsts in away games. Lakers are still an unreliable team too. They are still depending on Lebron highly and this is making things harder for them. Suns are definitely a complete team right now and I have not much doubt about that they will win this game too. Lakers wouldn't resist them too much.

It wasn't really mainly about him getting his playmaking out, it was more about getting out of the way for Klay, there is a difference between the two. One of them means that you are going to end up with a great teammate and just not do anything to block him and just let him be, on the other one you are one of the reasons why your teammate is great. Stockton didn't just let Malone score, he helped him score. Step just got out of the way for Klay, not help him out.

It wasn't a "bad" game by step neither by the way, I mean sure he didn't do much, but he did what he was suppose to do in this game, if you would help your team by not shooting much, then you stop shooting and let others do that (something westbrook needs to learn).

It will be on ESPN so that's the only one I'll see any of.  The Lakers usually do pretty well against the Suns but the way they've been playing lately I think the Suns have a pretty good shot.  I think LeBron will try to go big on the scoreboard again tonight to keep his massive scoring streak alive as he seemingly attempt to win himself a scoring title.  Booker has been playing great so it might be a good matchup to watch.  With the final stretch until the playoffs heating up you can expect teams to start taking things more seriously.  Especially teams in a position like the Lakers, who can't get Anothony Davis back soon enough.

Sun 1.22
Lakers 4.5

I fancy a Suns win by double digits but handicap odds at -9.5 or -8.5 are also good.

Suns is without CP3 and Lakers will be without AD while Lebron is questionable for this game. More than 50% chance they will lpse if either of them are out.

Suns always going to have a blowout win against the Lakers, so yeah Suns are more likely going to cover -9.5.
Suns are still capable of winning double digits against the Lakers even with LeBron and CP3 is out.
LeBron might've overstressed his knee for doing everything to win last night. So, it is most probably he'll be out today, just like the other day when he scored 56 against the Warriors.

Yeah this is a good time to go in on the Suns.  I don't know if I like them at 9.5 though.  A little moneyline play should be pretty safe.  Shame AD has never really been healthy this year dudes a monster when he is
