2027 NBA Season

I don't know if this has happened before, but Oklahoma played its first two NBA games in overtime and won both.

While this game is Oklahoma's second, it's Indiana's opening game.

In today's game, Oklahoma defeated Indiana 135-141 on the road.
SGA played 45 minutes and scored 55 points.
Indiana looks set to struggle this year without Haliburton.
His absence was felt deeply today.

Yes, we all have to agree that Indiana will have to struggle this season without Haliburton. But they gave everything against the OKC Thunder again and it's obvious, that we are seeing a rivalry between the two. Now, with those two wins, the Thunder remains as the favorite to win back to back. And maybe SGA too with this kind of performance could be the MVP again. But as others have said, very early.

My darkhorse for the MVP though is Luka, I hope he gets one. Gordon though put up a amazing numbers, maybe 50 points now will be the norm this season. Wemby almost got that one last game, but I wouldn't be surprised that he will have his time and get that kind of numbers as well.

And the Warriors really looking good at the start. Reminds me of last season, when they started like 5-0 if my memory serves me right. But after that they had to struggle. So let's see how deep they cand do in this season. They are the oldest team if I'm not mistaken, so that could be a problem in the grueling 82 games.

GSW vs Denver today was a hell of a game. Denver Trio played well but still come short vs Steph and his squad GSW. The game went to over time.
IND vs OKC, this one is a game that most people did not expect, they gone  with to overtime, but Thunders still manage to win,, I thought this game dont need an extension but Indiana fought really well. 

Both games were really entertaining. I wasn’t able to watch the OKC game, but I did catch the Warriors game. I honestly thought the Nuggets could upset them at home, but Curry was just on another level, so confident with his shot. Even from a long distance, he still managed to sink those threes. That’s pure confidence right there. Now the Warriors are 2-0, a great start for them. And you can also see Horford’s value, hitting that open three when it mattered.

Both games went to OT, for sure fans and bettors are the one who enjoyed the game the most seeing Pacers trying to defend their homecourt  that two crucial scores to force for two overtime that's value the money of those fans who support their team. Though it might have a different outcome if Haliburton is present knowing him in terms of executing their offense but nothing to say for the rest of his squad all have the heart to compete and try winning it for the fans, just not their day as the defending champ managed to escape and win the game.

On that second game, Gordon showcase his offensive side shooting outside and attacking the defense seems that he's always in the right side of the court, I was in the impression that GSW will lose the game but Chef Curry cooks something for the fans, long shots that perfectly guarded that's the definition of a great shooter.,

Billups' arrest was a surprise for me as well. However, when we look at the details of the incident, we see that it has nothing to do with basketball. Some media outlets reported the news as if he had been arrested for sports betting fraud. That's not the case.
In Portland, Tiago Splitter has taken over in place of Billups. His basketball career was okay. Let's see how his first NBA head coach experience turns out. It's a good chance if he can use it well.

When they named Damon, I directly thought they meant Damon Lillard as he is currently playing their games. And with Rozier they immediately took him out of Miami's active roster. Don't know what happened after he got arrested or the outcome of the FBI questioning but that could take months and still even if he is release after that they will more than likely release him from the Heat.
No need to take risk like that on a players past when guilty for getting paid for rigging games you are involved in.

Not that they are in any responsible part, it's just that someone was getting insider information about if Lebron would play or not. Turns out it wasn't even quality info because even when Lebron didn't play, the gambler bet on Lakers to lose because of it, but Lakers ended up winning. But that is just the tip of the iceberg, we are getting NBA being investigated as a whole, to see if there are any illegal gambling going on, Billups wasn't the only one and will not be the only one evidently.

I am sensing this will put the league at unease, even if you are not doing anything illegal, you would be worried if anyone around you ever did behind your back. Like what if a teammate did, how would you know?

I doubt that this will affect the league in general since not all players do gambling while an investigation can filter out players that has gambling history to make the investigation much easier.

I believe other stories is just exaggeration since many people want to believe that it’s a wide scale especially those user that like conspiracy theories about match fixing when they lost their bet.

Everything about him, from his height, to his weight to his previous injury, makes us doubt that he will heave a very long and healthy career but I wish to be wrong. That dude has a potential to be a superstar beyond what we have seen in years.

I think he has a potential to be the biggest name that joined the league since Lebron, we are talking about a huge talent here while being like 20 feet tall. This should be not a big deal if he ends up in injury though because if he does then it would mean nothing to them at all and can't be a superstar.

They already made a create job of not forcing wemby to get more weight, the last time i read is they don't wan't to make gain wait and make it natural so that his body won't get injured more often, wemby now is entering his prime, so young and the potential is high, if this continue there will be a battle between spurs and okc, and its going to be a long year since both spurs and okc are young, could golden state, denver , houston have a chance yes, but the problem now is wemby, they need to have adjustment, because from what i have seen, dallas a big team with big players having a hard time defending wemby and its sending a message now in the league that he is coming for the crown.

It surprised me, I thought that there won't be any new NBA or ex NBA player that will be caught or part of this ring. Billups isn't called for the sports betting but it's Terry Rozier. These people have already made good amounts of money with their NBA career. If the investigation turns okay and it's proven that him and the others from the Lakers are involved, goodbye to NBA then.

For sure, everyone who plays bad moving forward might be look at the negative way. Like making turn overs, missing shots that he usually makes. While he was that good, Cam Johnson and Jokić shot bricks, that was the reason for the loss. Gordon is in his prime right now. I think there is no him being the next big superstar potentially, he already is. Look at him, how can you stop that. The height, the shiftyness, the shooting touch, the love for the game. He basically has every single attribute he need to be great, and he uses it to the best of his ability. It's actually scary and he looks more and more like a player you would create on NBA2K, haha. But yeah, staying healthy is a big factor of course. If he does, there will be several awards on the horizon, MVP/DPOY and others should be no problem for him.

I did see something mentioning Kevin Garnett as being involved in one of the poker games the FBI investigated. It appears from the wording that he wasn’t involved as an insider though. I think they are just testing the waters, as we know jokic will have a bad night but he can do more than score, assist rebound etc, meaning if he can't score he will do the other things, and its just a one game and not that crucial its not the playoffs, this is just like a warm up, we know how they play when it comes to playoffs, gordon, sometimes had an on and off game, but always bounce back like the others, we just have to worry their health because, once get injured their playing style change.

Watching the Knicks game… After the game Josh Hart got caught on TV being left hanging for another handshake. That guy has the worst handshake timing of all time. I actually busted out laughing that they caught it on TV.

Boston lost to the Knicks. Getting outscored 14-42 in the second quarter was too much to come back from.

He was actually in the talks of the KIA MVP before the season started.

Again, with almost a triple-double using the "block" stats. This dude is crazy. It's fun to watch players doing defense, but he is something else. Fingers-crossed, Wemby healthy the whole season means he will get the MVP.
It's him, Jokic, Doncic, or SGA. I think he has a lot of chances if the NBA wants a new face of the game. Anyway, it will be about the votes. He just needs to complete that requirement of games played, and the media votes will do the rest. MVP and DPOY. That will be awesome!

I have to say, Luka is a lot more comfortable this season in Laker uniform, and it's just very timely that LeBron's absence early this season could test Luka's leadership. So far, he delivers. Now, if the Lakers are going to maintain this level of energy throughout this season, I mean, the intensity on the defensive side, they could be a lot scarier when LeBron comes back. Kudos to Marcus Smart as well for bringing that intensity. He made a lot of effort defensively, diving to get the loose ball, that gave the whole team an extra energy just like Luka said in the post game interview.
