Lebron talked about how he is no longer considering being that much active in the games, and push himself during the season. He is still Lebron, so when he plays he will play, but he knows that he needs mroe rest now due to his age. He talked about how they have Doncic now, and Reaves and others, so they can keep the fort down until he arrives.
That way, he could play like maybe 5-6 games a month at most, making like 50 games a season at most, maybe not even that much, rest of the games he believes Lakers has enough squad depth to get to playoffs. Then Lebron will show up for Playoffs and will do his best. I think main idea is that he knows they can't win a title, and he knows they do not need him for just reaching playoffs, so he will rest more, and get the same result as he would get if he played 82 games anyways.
Lebron never knows what he wants to tell the media. One time he says he want to get less involved, another day he says he wants to be in a position to win. So if he can't get involved, does he want other players to carry him to another title? At least he is never shy in finding excuses, already setting it up if they don't win anything this season.

So I guess it's just about right on where they are as far as outright betting goes. No doubt that OKC will be the top favorite, their core is intact and with just minor additions to their team. Cavs was a good team last year, maybe they can have a break out run and push past the second round with Mitchell and Garland.
Same with the Nuggets, they still have Jokic at the helm, although they've traded Porter Jr., they added Cam Johnson and Jonas Valanciunas to give Jokic some time to rest and then put him in the last 6 minutes of the 4th quarter.
I also see the Thunder as the favorites this season especially with their core players being intact, but I will not be surprised if the Nuggets will win it all yet again. No offense against the Thunder, but their matchup against the Nuggets in the playoffs ended up in 7 games. Now that the Nuggets are now better than last season with the addition of Brown, Johnson and Valanciunas, as long as both Jokic and Murray play at their highest, there's a chance that they can beat the Thunder in the playoffs. It's just my prediction though, but I might put some buckos on the Nuggets winning the Western Conference this early. This is debatable. I’m sure Nuggets improved their roster now and remove cancer player that dragging them down but OKC is a different beast now that they have championship experience. OKC is still having a mind games on their last year run due to many years of choking the playoffs but this season onwards is different for them since they already have the experience. Assuming OKC will keep their core players intact especially Chet. I believe they will be unstoppable.

If the Nuggets get Jokic out of the court the offense and defense will go dodwn a big percentage and there will be a big adjustment for the team while it will be easier a lot for the opponent for the defense and under the rim offense. For the Thunders, theres a lot of option and taking out there superstar will surely not be a big adjustment as their line up now is really balance and can rotate well. You can add up on this their young age.

The media and other players expect him so much that he is so pressured by the situation, there is still room for growth but only him can unluck those potentials in him, maybe he need to detach from being a James, in the sense that he will have peace of mind, imagine the media are looking on him in any small details maybe that thing is also making him play and grow properly, i hope that people don't judge the person, and always what I'm going to say let the guy play, imagine your parents of family always looking at your work, that is disturbing like the media is doing, they are the one breaking players.
And we can't blame them as they expect performances from this young James, and aside from that he's a good way to attract readers and followers even they are criticizing him he still got that attention, but just like you said unlocking what's his true potentials and making his way outside from his father's name will be a good thing not just for him but more on the eyes of those who expect from him delivering that deserving spot for this league. Looking to see him playing with Luka on the regular season it might be the chance that will give him more exposure especially if LeBron will give that alpha spot completely to Luka then the young superstar help's his son to unlock his hidden potential if there's still something in him..

I agree, having a set of young core players makes them unstoppable. They were very consistent last season until they become the champions. I have one good thought about this team if they're going to get more young players like Dalton Knecht. Because it's said that Dalton is a liability to the Lakers and so, if the OKC sees that as a good opportunity to low ball them just to get him, I think they've got already a set of young players that could last a dynasty of reigning for them.

Assuming OKC will keep their core players intact especially Chet. I believe they will be unstoppable. Yep it's debatable for sure, and I respect your opinion. TBH, I will not be surprised if the Thunder will dominate the league yet again just like what they did last season... but I remember that that's what I also said to the Boston Celtics after they won their title 2 seasons ago. I thought that they'll dominate yet again, but they got bounced off by Indiana. I wonder if other teams already have found a way for them not to foul SGA that much because I know that he doesn't rely on free throws that much since he's a great player as well, but some of his points are coming from "charity strike" as well, and that's what makes him being called a "free-throw merchant". As for OKC as a whole team, they've got young and talented players that will run the team for quite some time. They also have lots of draft picks just so that they need either an all-star player or any role player that fits with the team. OKC's still a formidable team if you will ask me. As for the Nuggets, yes their roster has improved, and that's why I look at them as the top contender in the West right now, but very close to the Thunder.

I don't know about Irving, he has a torn ACL and it will take like eight months to a year to recover from that. That's why they got D'Lo as their point guard because of the Irving situation. As far as Davis goes, he will be healthy day in day out.
This is an october 1 update.. https://x.com/BannedMacMahon/status/1973116825933324379Look at him, he is already balling, so I'm optimistic that he will be back soon. Because Kyri wasn't injured yesterday, yes it takes about 6-8 months to come back, depends on the person of course but I do not think it should take a full year. And we can see that he will be returning basically by December and that is not a bad one at all, it should be a good time to come back. Because if he can return by December, then he can warm up and be in peak condition when the playoffs starts, he will have a few months to both play and rest when he feels like he is getting tired. We all remember the young Cavs kyrie, but this dude has been around the league for a while now and getting older, coming back from this injury is not about first game he can play but more about how he will continue to rest during the season as well.

Even though he’s been injury-prone, what I really like about Irving is that every time he comes back, he still looks the same.. the swag, the confidence, the way he controls the game. He doesn’t lose that edge, and he still manages to lift his teammates. With the kind of stacked lineup they have right now, I don’t think Irving needs to overwork himself. He just needs to facilitate and let the others do their thing, since a lot of them can score too. As long as he stays careful and keeps that chemistry going, the team should be solid. Their young rookie, being a first overall pick, could definitely add some spark and help balance things out.

https://theplayoffs.news/en/nba-trade-rumors-ahead-of-2025-26-season-opener/Golden State Warriors Reportedly Exploring Options to Sign Victor OladipoThe Golden State Warriors are reportedly interested in signing former Indiana Pacers star Victor Oladipo. His addition to the Dubs could increase the intensity and help Stephen Curry with another defensive presence off the bench. Not only this, but his signing would also involve waiving a non-guaranteed player such as Gui Santos and signing the veteran to a minimum contract. I don't know about this. I was a big fan of Victor Oladipo back in the Indiana Pacers, but ever since the injury, he has been going back and forth to the injury list. It's a risk that the GSW will take, or perhaps they have already seen him work out. That's why they are eyeing him. Still, we don't know how he will perform in the bright lights. He didn't play last year, and in 2022-23, he only played 42 games, averaging 10 points per game. Before that, he played 8 games, and before that, he played 4 games. This is an injury-prone player, and it will be tough for the Warriors if it becomes a waste of a spot and salary cap.

Well, if the Warriors signed him to a minimum contract, then it’s not a big risk for them. Although Victor was indeed a promising player in the past, after such a long absence from the NBA, I doubt he’ll be able to perform well, even if he manages to stay healthy. In any case, it will be interesting to see how he performs on the court now.

So its not a big deal with the salary and if Victor will keep his body healthy and in injury then its a good thing for GSW. Oladipo is a grreat player and he showcased his talent in Indiana, but just like other superstar he was ruin with his injury. not just once but many times.

https://theplayoffs.news/en/nba-trade-rumors-ahead-of-2025-26-season-opener/Golden State Warriors Reportedly Exploring Options to Sign Victor OladipoThe Golden State Warriors are reportedly interested in signing former Indiana Pacers star Victor Oladipo. Oladipo? For what? Nah, what’s in the Warriors’ front office’s mind if they actually sign Oladipo? They should get a solid forward or center instead, enough with the guards already. They’re just wasting money. They can’t even use Kuminga properly or unlock his potential, and now there’s a rumor like that? Lol. Even if it’s for a minimum salary, will they actually use him or just let him sit on the bench? If it’s the latter, then don’t sign him at all.

What they actually need is better role player on other position and they don't need additional liability for their team. Their small ball line up is not working anymore and its proven for many years. I don't know if Warriors front office learn from what happen to them for past few years. If they push to sign him maybe we cannot still see Warriors to compete on finals.

I guess they really liked his performances against the Clipper and the Spurs last week when he played with Guangzhou. I mean it was ok but nothing extraordinary or anything. He just made the shots was was supposed to hit. I also don't think it's a good idea to sign another guard, also Oladipo with his injuries is definitely a risk, sure not for the money but because of a roster spot they could use somebody else for. Problem is they still try to find a team, like a week away from the start of the season. This whole offseason os worrying and now thinking about signing players that were out of the league doesn't make it better I think.

The cons on acquiring Oladipo now is he is not the same player anymore after he suffered multiple knee and leg i jury for a short period of time. Acquiring him is high risk and at the same time he is not performing the same during his prime.

He play well on China and maybe Oladipo already heated up then can help Warriors especially to make their second unit to became more stronger. Although those things are just speculation but let see if this situation will prosper since its good to see Oladipo back in NBA. This will be a good redemption on his career. He just need to get a chance. That performance he made against Spurs is great indication that he's still NBA ready and can still be useful for teams that will sign him. Although acquiring him is high risk but we can't deny that Oladipo is really a great player.

He will play in the second unit, giving Steph and butler a substitute while resting, but he can't play high level and it will even shorten he's career, as you said he got multiple injuries, they are just using what is on the table, and he is available, but he can't play lots of minutes, and he has times where he can carry the team even with injuries, honestly when i saw him shooting before after the draft im saying he will be a star, and he did but thats not took long for injuries to stop him doing what he do best and its scoring, sadly he got a short career, because of the injuries.

I like their current ranking in the championship futures, mainly because i trust the active players they have right now. Irving doesn’t need to rush his return, he can take his time to recover. as long as the mavericks can maintain a playoff spot, that’s already good enough. I’m sure he’ll be back before the playoffs, fully healthy and ready to go. OKC seems like a good candidate without a doubt, after all they are the reigning champions. People called Sam Presti a mad men when he started to just trade anyone he can find, just get more and more picks. At one point I remember, they had like 3-4 first round picks for many years in a row. But dude knew something nobody else knew, those players, those picks, turn into a team, and could become even more picks, and one day, they could trade those picks to get a good player. Look at them now, all that rebuilding, all that tanking, and now they are the winners finally. They also used the fact that there aren't any superstar dominating team anymore, most teams look equally good, at least top 5-6 looks greatly close to each other.

There is one thing which is really a big factor for the team that you can see. On point, this is the weakness of Nuggets. Their relying heavily to Jokic since he is the most consistent and play maker for them despite he is not a guard. Nuggets is lucky because Jokic is smart so he doesn’t do a risky move that will make him injured. All his move is calculated and despite playing physical as a center he is always avoiding heavy contact. But it’s proven that without Jokic, Nuggets is struggling.
