They've taken Ayton because they think that he'd be a great help to the team. They won't just let him do whatever he can but there's for sure some training and all other sorts of talks that has done for them. They want a ring and that's the kind of drive that they're taking about. We'd see on the actual season if he can actually delivers just like from the teams that he's been a part of. if he becomes consistent, it's a great plus to him and that's the kind of big man they need to have.

Training,, that’s already a given.. every player has to train based on standards, especially Ayton since he’s in a new team expected to go for a championship. It’s not just training too, it’s also about building chemistry. Without that, the team will probably fail.

The Los Angeles Lakers have now come out and said that LeBron James will miss the entire preseason because of nerve irritation in his glute.  This seems like a funny way to state that LeBron thinks the preseason is a pain in his ass. 

Say what you want about LeBron (his politics are absolute garbage, he pretends to read books, he has a crazy ego, etc.), but at least he has a sense of humor.  At his age, he's earned the right to miss the entire preseason if he wants.  We all know it is just wear and tear on an old body and he isn't going to get better dunking on G leaguers.

It’s obviously not about retirement, but people still fall for it. Like they say, there’s no deceiver if there’s no one to be deceived. Even if LeBron James does this again, there will still be fans who fall for it. Well there are still fans not sure what's the percentages but still have someone who wanted to see him stay, though like what you just mentioned fans who saw that interview expect something but it didn't work the way they anticipate. Let see if what would be the after effect in the long run.

Unless he announces it before the season there is 0 chance he will retire after this one. We all know him and his ego, he wants the full retirement farewell in every arena he visits. It wasn’t a problem for Michael Jordan because he kept his personal opinions out of the public space.
