LeBron James has announced a "Decision 2" press conference tomorrow.  While I am sure this is most likely just some sort of advertisement, there are rumors that he may be announcing his retirement from the NBA, or a trade.  I don't think he would be the one to announce a trade and I don't think he's retiring this year, but maybe...

They've taken Ayton because they think that he'd be a great help to the team. They won't just let him do whatever he can but there's for sure some training and all other sorts of talks that has done for them. One thing I don't like with the lakers is they always use the media whenever a player is having issues, they try to fix everything using that, but sometimes it does more damages than fixed, they should talk to the players, and don't let the media get in the head of the players, also stop calling players via media, on the other hand, Ayton should put some work on his body, he seems like not working out too much, and do bare minimum, when he came to the Suns, he's body until now seems the same is it the genes or he does not want to work out?

Nah, I don’t think he’ll announce his retirement yet. Maybe he will in his final season, but I don’t think this is it. He’s still chasing his 5th ring. Maybe once he gets it, then he’ll announce his retirement. As for a trade, I don’t think that’ll happen either, maybe before the trade deadline or after this season. I believe it’s just some kind of promotion as well. After all, he’s a business minded person and probably just wants to get everyone’s attention first.

The original 'decision' was a huge deal at that time, I thought it is serious this time too. True, but he is on a Hollywood team, and so with that, he wanted to make his decision very controversial so that everyone will watch and pull some good numbers whoever his sponsorship is. Just like what others have said, it's Amazon and so he will need to have this kind of coverage as it could be big. So it's a win-win situation for him and we can't blame him for doing that. So as others might have speculated, it has nothing to do with his career, he can still play 2-3 years at most and still got the highest average a player can get at that point in this career. I think it was more of a money grab than validating his ego. He clearly sold out for money, which is an odd thing to do for a billionaire. ESPN cleared a 3 hour block to discuss this… He won’t be able to use this trick again when he actually does retire. Every time he does this he faces backlash so the check must have been massive.
