They can make it to the finals if LeBron comes back in Cleveland they have the pieces to make it, but who will be traded to LA, Stephen really hate lebron, since if they make it to the finals and fail again he will be the one laughing and tell BS to lebron, this guy make a lot of money, talking things about LBJ, he make a living for years, he should be thankful to lebron, but is the cavs willing to take LBJ back? they should he delivers the title and conference finals to the team.

as we can see on the salary of the players in the team https://www.basketball-reference.com/contracts/CLE.html

I don’t think LeBron will be able to get a max contract. If he insists on playing with the Cavaliers, then he’ll have to take a smaller salary, which I don’t think he’d agree to. Mitchell, Mobley, and Garland are already eating up most of the salary cap.

Correct, I doubt any team will still give Lebron a max contract when he finish his contract with Lakers. Lebron is still good but not good enough compared to his prime that is worthy of trading with team star player just to acquire him.

Cavs need to toss some of their main player if they want Lebron and I think they will do that if ever the Cavs will perform badly and choke on the playoffs.

Honestly, Mitchell is always choking on playoffs.

Lebron will go back to cavs 100% before he stop playing. Cavaliers will be his retiring team. FOr me, If there will be a trade with LBJ, it is good for the cavs as they are really in need a good SF/PF.
King might be old but still playing like a prime of other players. Cavs need to wait for LBJ! dont do trade for now.

I don't think LeBron will end his career with the Cavs. He used to really want to win a title with the Cavs, and he did so in 2016. But now I don't see any particular reason why LeBron would suddenly decide to move to the Cavs, especially if he is determined to win another ring.
The Cavaliers are already a great team now, and he wants to win a ring, his chances in the Cavaliers are still high since they already have Mitchell, Garland, Mobley and Allen as their key players. I mean if I will compare his chances of winning a title if he stays in LA and his chances of winning a title if he's on the Cavaliers, the chances of him winning a title if he's a Cavalier is way higher.

TBH, I don't see any reason as well, but for me, I have this feeling that he might end it on the team where he started it all. I mean who knows. Wink He might surprise his solid fans as well and goes back to Cleveland and accepts a much lower contract. On the flip side, there's a chance that he might end up in another team that's willing to pay him huge amount of money, but if he prioritizes winning a title rather than the money (assuming that he will play next regular season), it's better for him to go an established team with many all-star players already.

Bucks Notes: Giannis to Warriors Trade Rumors, Free Agent Chose Lakers Over Bucks, More
https://www.si.com/nba/bucks/news/bucks-notes-giannis-to-warriors-trade-rumors-free-agent-chose-lakers-over-bucks-more

Quote
Rumors of a trade sending superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Golden State Warriors are circulating during the NBA offseason.

Antetokounmpo reportedly remains uncommitted to the Bucks for the future after several disappointing playoff exits.
These rumors have been circling around for some time now, and I think they will keep on going. But the truth is, the Warriors might not afford to get Giannis on their roster. If they force themselves to make space for him, they will jeopardize their whole 2nd team, and it could be more trouble for them to win games if one of their stars is injured.
The Warriors are good at playing using a deep team and rotating them. With Giannis there, eating up a whole cap space, it will be chaos for their rotation.

i Will use that TBH on this answer, CAVS had a great ran last season and they get the top spot also, but PLAY-OFFS isnt the same as the regular season where you will face your opponent almost 7 games to win the series, adjustments are there, coacch braain must run, veterans is really a lot for the team and the tactics, experience is a must and valuable.
All of that CAVS is nothing! LBJ can give all of that!

If LeBron wants to win another ring, he should take a pay cut. But that would only make sense if the Warriors' management improved the bench, i.e., found some good role players. Then the Warriors, with the Curry-LeBron duo, would definitely be contenders for the title.
Lebron can't take a pay cut. His contract is his contract and that can't be changed, this isn't football where a transferred player will have a new contract, you buy out the existing contract when it is in the NBA. So whatever he is making at Lakers, will exactly be the same price what he is making at Warriors if that trade happens.

And in theory, they are capable of making this trade too, it is not really that hard, it's just that Lakers are losing Lebron and getting nothing, so why would they do something like that? Like Lakers could send Lebron and Bronny to Warriors, while getting Jimmy Butler, I think Lakers still have to send some rookie or something to make this work too, in order to cut some costs. But yeah, it works. But why give up Lebron, just to get Butler?

Maybe this rumor really come from the desperation of Giannis specially losing in the last couple of years after their winning their championship as they didn't repeat their success.

And that's why that has been in every season that Giannis will leave and join teams like the Lakers and the Warriors. But in reality it might not be true and it's going to be very hard to make it happen.

The consequences might lead them to think twice knowing that there stars is no longer at their primes, compromising your second unit may lead them to more trouble, though Giannis addition may give them decent chance to win a title if all of their stars together with Giannis will remain healthy till the end of the season.

End of the day, it's a business and the management will do everything that they can to make things profitable, maybe they'll do things if the opportunity open for them to take.

Since we're still in the off season. Ice Cube's Big 3 is making noise after the Miami 305 won through Mario Chalmers winning shot.

Although they're in a lead by 1 point, that sweet victory made it even better when the buzzer beater was made by him.

The Warriors can’t afford Giannis right now since it would be too hard to destroy their roster just to fit him in. I think the only possible scenario is next season once Kuminga becomes a free agent, then maybe the Warriors can offer something for Giannis.

Some of these rumors are just unrealistic. Even if Giannis wants a trade, if the team can’t get him because of salary cap issues then it’s not gonna happen. Unless the Warriors are willing to send multiple players for him, because for sure Curry and Draymond are staying.

Yes, this news has been circulating for quite sometime now, that I don't think that it will happen. Although there are teams are like building big 3 or super teams but the Lakers have Lebron and Luka already.

The Warriors can’t afford Giannis right now since it would be too hard to destroy their roster just to fit him in. I think the only possible scenario is next season once Kuminga becomes a free agent, then maybe the Warriors can offer something for Giannis.

If you can't satisfied Giannis demand, forget it, one of the priorities is to sign his brother, if you only offer Giannis and forget his brother then its a no, this is why Milwaukee still have the chance, the problem is all their picks are gone, they can't build a better team, or if they get good players in the market, it will be a good sign, aside from his brother he also want a competitive team, so for the GSW they already have 50% chance, but they need to give the other demand, but will the bucks give Giannis to GSW?

You guys really think LBJ need a max contract to be with the CAVALIERS? He will not go to that team for the money,
He will retire there and play a year or 2, Money isnt and issue anymore with the King. All he will do is the last run before he ends his career.
He can get a minimum veteran salary if he like it.

I’m not expecting him a max contract however I don’t believe too that he will get minimum veteran salary considering that he is still valuable on NBA even only with his presence.

I do have the feeling that you’re about him wanting to retire to Cavs since he has a lot of history playing on that team while Cavs will surely want him back.

This is might just happened when he is not that strong anymore.

And if money is not the issue then why stay with the Lakers? The Lakers still has his son and I think that will be good enough reason for Lebron to stay. Otherwise if he moves then the Lakers might trade Bronny or just keep him in the G-league (which they have done it already). He still have Luka for the upcoming season and they have built a solid team as they acquire a true center already. And if everything fall into pieces and they have a good run, then there is no reason for Lebron to simply go to Cavs again, regardless of a max contract or not because his chances are high with the Lakers to win another ring.

That’s all up to LeBron. If he’s only chasing more championships, then coming back to the Cavaliers and taking a minimum contract shouldn’t be an issue if his goal is legacy. It would add a lot to his legacy if he wins more titles with the Cavs, the first team he played with for many seasons.

I really hope this becomes reality because I’m sure Cavs fans would gladly welcome LeBron back, especially to help Mitchell who tends to choke in big moments.

The guy has nothing to prove, he might just preparing for retirement, and cannot wait how haters will react and how will the nba looks like when he is retired, i don't think he care's if he win another ring or not, only the haters have different opinion, and making assumptions, if he really want to its easy go to the team with the bigger chance to have the ring.

He has nothing left to prove, but if he wants to be considered the best in the NBA, he needs more rings. At least tie Michael Jordan who has 6. LeBron currently has 4, so he needs 2 more to match MJ’s achievement.

The thing is, Jordan only played 15 seasons while LeBron is entering his 22nd, so even if he matches, fans will still point out that LeBron needed 23 seasons to get 6 rings, while Jordan did it in 15.

Warriors predicted to land new 'Splash Brother' for Stephen Curry in free agency
Yahoo Link
Quote
On Friday, Malik Beasley was dropped as a target in a federal gambling investigation, leading to the effective start of his free agency. While his breakout year with the Detroit Pistons last season likely would have landed him a big deal this summer, the market has dried up as his off-court issues have overshadowed any potential deals.

So he will not be investigated anymore about the gambling thing. Hmm.

Is he really the Splash brother type?
I've watched him play, and sure, he has a good percentage in 3-point shooting and also finished 2nd in the Sixth Man of the Year votes. He is a volume shooter in distance and probably a good pair for Steph. The only problem that I see is how long he can manage to gain chemistry with the team. The play mostly revolves around Steph, and it gives an open man whenever he moves with or without the ball.

I think it's a good addition for the GSW if they ever take him.

Yeah he's not going unto that phase so I guess that clear him out and he's ready to go back on NBA.

If it happens that GSW would get him then this is great addition for them knowing that he's provably a good fit on their system since he can shoot 3s and spread on the floor. He also have good credentials since Beasley is also a deadly 3pt shooter.

But I don't know if he can be a good replacement for Klay since I think many would try but I guess it will be so hard for them to replicate what Klay could do in their team.

For sure Cavs will be relevant again and not the number 1 choker on the East. I believe Cavs just lack an experienced leader to win a championship since they are strong individually and during regular season when there’s no pressure at all.

Mitchell is always choking on big moments when he is needed the most to lead the Cavs. Current Cavs line-up is good for long term so I’m sure Bron can still get in there before he retired while Cavs is still strong.

I don't think that Malik fits to be a splash brother for Steph. There's already Buddy Hield and Podziemski who could be a runner up to be a splash bros for the Warriors. Anyway, if Malik will still play for the NBA. Make sure that you guys won't bet for the team that he's going to be in if you don't want to lose your money. I am just saying that even if he's clear and there will be no more investigation, the guy has already a stain on his name with gambling.
