If bitcoin no other alternative may bitcoin coin will not have a rival. Because bitcoin and other alternative coin is a competitor who continues to want to be better. If bitcoin without coin other alternatives may not be good, because it is definitely bitcoin has no rivals so it is difficult to develop.
I don't think that the rival coins of bitcoin are supporting bitcoin to develop in any way, rather bitcoin helps them to get a better user database as people using bitcoin mostly trade alt coins in order to earn more bitcoins, so bitcoin actually does not require any other coin or rival in order to develop. |

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Nope, Bitcoin can't be better. Even if there are other altcoins out there Bitcoin cannot do anything to improve, like increasing the 21,000,000 limit of Bitcoin that can be produce. Also it is a clear picture that Bitcoin already has a lot of competitor trying to dethrone Bitcoin as the # 1 cryptocurrency in the market but none even Ethereum can go close to the price of Bitcoin. |

I'm not sure if Bitcoin would be better off without altcoins but I definitely think the community is better off having all these altcoins. I remember when the altcoin scene first really started kicking off and every single coin instantly gained a big marketcap regardless of if it was copy paste sort of coin.

But why not just compare Bitcoin to other assets like gold or even currencies like USD? We don't really need Altcoins to be able to measure performance. |

I do not think it would be better off, the fact is also that it gained a lot of users because of all the altcoins that were here back in the days. |

Alt coins are also playing good in the market and economy of bitcoin. Because without them no one will ever make some investments for bitcoin. This is a good way that people will put their money in bitcoin and eventually encourage a lot of investors for making these alt coins bought by them. Just like in reality, it cannot be dollars for all countries, local currencies(alt coins) are needed too. |

I think you know when the first bitcoin life and after that there is still no other than bitcoin coin, but bitocin can develop and then came another coin like litecoin, I think bitcoin can stand alone |

Alt coins are also playing good in the market and economy of bitcoin. Because without them no one will ever make some investments for bitcoin. Indeed alt coin is helping bitcoin to growth, the alt coin trading has caused a huge transaction movement of bitcoin which resulted in the stability of bitcoin and also it is nice to have a back up coins, in case bitcoin got banned or lose its compatibility |

Found the altcoin at the time of me joining bitcoin was a cheaper way to learn how trade at first and that helped me out.
But then I got into the whole pump and dump issue of altcoins and it made me feel like there was a lot of snakes in the grass that are out to exploit every last nickle.
The fun coins are interesting with different innovations,just not a fan of pumping something to either run off or to leave people in the lurch.
Bitcoin would be fine without it but I think some good can still come out of altcoins.

But, then that means they never deserved such a treatment since they were just copies of bitcoin and did not bring anything new to the table, they were just in time to get advantage of bitcoin popularity. |

Bitcoin is the origin and the core so I think it will be very fine without altcoin since it is the main, Altcoins in the other way won't actually exist without bitcoin since it is the main and gets the media coverage.
If altcoin is helping bitcoin to reach high then why altcoin is not on number 1, and then why bitcoin is No.1. So if we look and the adoption and demand of people towards crypto currency then it is more inclined to bitcoin. Bitcoin itself is enough to gain its success.

You are right and I have noticed that those who have their own coin often try to be against bitcoin as they want their own coin to be the best coin of all crypto currencies. actually if altcoin no, everyone will focus on bitcoin, however, I think the price of bitcoin will not be as high as today. you know, that many people buy altcoin using bitcoin right? so I feel that altcoin also have an important role in the rise in price of bitcoin. so, if altcoin removed, probably bitcoin prices will drop from the current price |

I just wanted to get your opinions on this one , what do you think Bitcoin would be if there was no Alternative coins such Litecoin & Dogecoin and the others ...
I mean it would be better with or without them Bitcoin would have no value at all ?
If no altcoin will be in the online world then the main problem wilo be earning problem with Bitcoin . Because i think most of the persons earning with Bitcoin only through trading , if no altcoin will exist then the bitcoiner where do trading ?? |

Bitcoin already started first and doing well a long way before there was any alternative coin invented.
Altcoin may affected bitcoin price due to higher demand for trading transaction
It seems like paper currencies have been exist first and being traded.
I think bitcoin will be okay with one or two another coins but not like now that there are so many altcoin which could ended priceless and cause people loss who bought it.
