[I like trustnet.

Indeed, that perception is shared by many. Some of whom have taken the step of registering it in their local jurisdiction as a trading name reserved for their exclusive use.

Cheers

Nope, Not us. One of the reasons we won't release the chosen name until we have the domains and registrations in order, as name squaters are always lurking

Yeah. TrustNet term seems to be already used by many others on the net (non-crypto) with common domain names already taken.

@Zorin
Easiest way to install and stay up to date with your wallet add that PPA:

If you are running Debian/Ubuntu/Mint etc. You can install the binaries/Daemons using Apt as well;

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:shaun-mcbride/darknet
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install darknet-qt

@Raspi
Have you tried Raspbian yet? You can find the Raspbian wallet here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1262920.msg13067779#msg13067779

Just FYI, it is confirmed in slack that it's a server issue with 1 particular hosting that caused the big drop in MN count.

So yeah, it's not someone getting out. They will be back up soon. Cheesy

Also, all my masternodes have zero issues. There is no network issue.

@jakiman, how are the masternodes incentivized?

Also, is there code in place to stop prying eyes at the node level?

TIA

Masternodes are same as DASH and is incentivized by receiving a portion of block reward payments for providing anonimity & proposal services.

See payment stat below:
http://178.254.23.111/~pub/DN/DN_masternode_payments_stats.html

Not sure about security so much as I'm not a dev.
I'll leave that for someone else to answer. Cheesy

found a very good tutorial from Reddcoin to setup a wallet on Raspi;  you can use it for DNET aswell
just follow it to Step 6 and replace the github link Smiley

I just used it to compile the old Berkley DB 4.8 to get BitBar run on a  Linux Mint

For those not on slack, here are some updates:

1. There's now a Darknet sub-reddit. Please join! It doesn't look good being emtpy. Smiley
We hope to have more people active in the reddit than here as it's easier to follow.
https://www.reddit.com/r/darknetcrypto/

2. Rebranding is happening. This is being worked by a media & marketing firm based in Canada. So it's not some dude. It's a proper professional company. We expect the ETA for this to be January 2017. Name, logo etc has not yet been finalized afaik but even if so, it will be kept quiet in case it gets swiped.

3. We have Elisha (owner of thedashtimes.com) now willing to work on DNET's marketing and promotions. (he created the sub-reddit)

He has 2 donation addresses. I am NOT asking you to donate coz I posted this.
It is up to each one of you to decide that. (and based on his performance etc)

It would be great if everyone would start placing some Buy/Sell orders on BitSquare for DarkNet, Show your support for the first truly decentralized exchange!! Smiley if everyone placed just a few, thats all it would take.

Im not trading on bitsquare, its not capable of providing enough liquidity for meaningful trades, and I doubt there will be support for alts on any decentralized exchanges coz at present theyre totally useless for day trading.

It is a matter of principle to support their efforts, No, it isn't a place to do day trading, but should be a place you can purchase what coins you need. Liquidity will only increase, when people use the service.

Just a quick question regarding the upcoming Trustless Truly Untraceable Anon feature, what will it bring ? Something like XMR or Zcash or something different compared to them and bringing something exciting and unique ?

What I will say at this point, is it will be a full-time transaction protocol, no user intervention will be required other than sending a transaction.
