Q. Is Pivx similar to what Komodo is doing? And if so, why are they valued 10x more than us?

So, after hours of hassling and 4 days of waiting, looks like Bittrex is finally updated... OMFG... I don't want to do that ever again... :/

On another note, They cancelled everyones Buy and Sell orders... So go check them if you had any..
Thanks for the advice. They have canceled everything, nice again on bittrex... Roll Eyes

Just checked into the Forum after a couple of months & I was surprised to see that the name was changed from DNET to PIVX.

I'm bit curious to know whether all my DNET/PIVX Balance on Bittrex Exchange is Safe or not after this Name Change?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Beats me. They don't have masternodes, it was started as an ICO and their current supply is double that of PIVX. They do have d(elayed)PoW and anon transactions though but even then the price discrepancy shouldn't be ~5.3x (~10.6x with same supply).

Whatever the case might be I'm holding strong and long 1% of the supply and only sell off the staking rewards occasionally.

Not your keys, not your coins!

Your coins should be fine, there was no fork in the rebrand. However, all buy/sell orders were canceled by Bittrex in the rebrand if you had any.

KMD is very different from PIVX. KMD is a fork of Zcash, so the only similarity will be the use of zerocoin protocal even though implementation will be different; like the difference between Zcoin and Zcash (both use a form zerocoin protocal). KMD is also taken over Supernet from the NXT asset chain (plus dPOW already mentioned above). Only similarity in my opinion is that KMD will probably be a good investment like PIVX; both have dedicated communities and multiple devs trying to make the projects successful.

Most of those projects like Komodo have the same people working behind them who create 20+ ICOs in one year.

PIVx devs have been consistent with their project and very transparent, personally I don't do long term holding unless certain criteria are met by the devs. PIVx happens to have met my criteria for long term.

Other projects are for shorting because it is obviously a cash grab with too many fantastical promises.
PIVx has kept it grounded on reality.

Thanks for all the answers guys. We really seem undervalued compared to all the other privacy coins out there. I guess the market is waiting for the actual implementation of the zerocoin protocol. When that happens the price is going to rocket ride up! I too feel this PIVX is long-term hodl!

+ very good payout structure (inflation control has been accounted for)  I say conservatively 10 mill (or > 10 x market cap) is achievable

Anybody know the approximate ETA of the zerocoin protocol being implemented into PIVX?

All I know is that we need to have it working with masternodes, swifttx etc so it will take longer than just implementing it at a core level.
My "guess / expectation" is that it'll take at least 3 months to have it fully working and tested. Give or take 2 months. lol. Ignore me. Grin

Welcome to PIVX!

Not sure about better yet but it is quite different as DASH is PoW and PIVX is POS.
(while having most of DASH's core features such as masternodes, instanttx etc)
PIVX will have better privacy with full-time anon transfer using libzerocoin protocol soon.

Also, please check my previous post for some other highlights of PIVX:
