Your version of ethminer won't work on my pc.But,if I download the original ethminer I can mine on a pool with no problems and with a stable hashrate of 15 Mh/s. Here is a screenshot of the error: https://i.imgur.com/PWwapQ4.jpgPlease, fix it. My PC specifications are: WIN 7 (SP1 installed) - AMD Catalyst installed version is 15.7.1. CPU: AMD FX-6300 GPU: MSI R9 270 RAM: 8GB

S9 do not use Cgminer 4.8.0 Instead is BMminer Version 1.0.0 Apparently, this is the problem.
Arghhh, this must be some state-of-the-art new-kind-of mining software where Bitmain obviously did try to reinvent the wheel instead of using the working solution (aka cgminer). We'll contact Bitmain and ask them to check what kind of bugs did they introduce in Antiner S9 "BMminer" and will ask them to fix the bugs and make it compatible with NiceHash system. Thank you very much for the feedback!

I'm trying to use this but it makes my computer unbearably slow when I'm mining. Is there some way to easily tone down the system impact so that I can still use my computer while this is mining?
I reduced the benchmarked speed in the settings for X11 algo. It seemed to make my computer more usable but also reduced hash rate quite a bit.
Maybe X11 algo is the problem.

no the problem is you arent supposed to be using your computer when you are mining

no the problem is you arent supposed to be using your computer when you are mining I'm mining right now on a different miner and I can use my computer much better than when I use nicehash miner. Time to get rid of the Nicehash miner virus. Please don't talk about things you don't know. Nicehash: Now I see what's really going on with your miner. I'm very disappointed in you. Maybe the next version will be better. Give better options for people that want more control over system resources and you might appeal to a broader audience and get more hash power and more money. For now, you won't be getting my hashes and I will use the miner that doesn't bog down my system so much.

NiceHash Miner automatically mines the most profitable altcoin (also Decred, if it is the most profitable), and you are only paid in Bitcoins.

If you have only one GPU and you will be mining any altcoin with optimized algorithm with any available miner/tool, it will make your computer unavailable for other day-to-day work ( only while your are mining, of course). It is true that you can lower intensity on some miners, but this also exponentially decreases mining profitability and makes mining more or less unprofitable. Anyway, you can play around with "Groups\ExtraLaunchParameters" ( https://github.com/nicehash/NiceHashMiner#options) if you are interested on low-intensity mining, although as said we generally don't recommend this. Either you mine at full speed (while you're not using your PC for other work) or you don't mine (while you ARE using your PC for other work). Thank you for trying out NiceHash Miner! Best regards, NiceHash team.

Best regards, NiceHash team. Thank you for replying. At this time, the options aren't flexible or the instructions aren't clear enough to be able to mine like I am on other private miners on other pools. I'll continue to watch and I might come back but for now there are more profitable options on other pools using their own built in functionality.

The Ethereum price has dropped over 40% over the last few days. The difficulty is still rising. It will not be profitable to mine for some people.

Well I have 11 video cards (220mh/s), my next electric bill will be near $400 and im estimated to make $511 a month (which has been dropping) im pretty close to pulling the plug on ethereum. I pay high kwh fees from June - sept if i go over 600kwh though.

NOTICE TO ALL NICEHASHMINER USERSWe are very near to release awesome and superbly better NiceHashMiner, the best so far with many cool features such as automatic P0 state setting for NVIDIA cards, on GPU DAG generation for DaggerHashimoto for much faster benchmarkings and no more HDD needed, multilanguage support and many many bug fixes that annoyed many people in the history. This is a PRE-RELEASE public beta and will be shortly replaced by official one. Use at your own risk. Report us back any issues you may be having. And don't forget to test out some additional options in settings. DOWNLOAD

But you may not get optimal mining, no efforts for optimising have been done. And ethminer is not working at all (same as original Genoil's ethminer).

Ethereum has been taken out, because we have DaggerHashimoto which is Ethereum. There is no reason to still have Ethereum, because there are several benefits from DaggerHashimoto (immediate BTC payments, no unexchanged, PPS, stratum, etc...) Regarding your issue. Could you run ethminer.exe (it is in bin folder) with following parameters and let me know what happens (copy-paste whole output): if having NVIDIA GPUs: --benchmark-warmup 40 --benchmark-trial 20 --cuda --dag-load-mode single 0 --benchmark 1743134 if having AMD GPUs: --benchmark-warmup 40 --benchmark-trial 20 --opencl --opencl-platform 1 --dag-load-mode single 0 --benchmark 1743134 Also, what kind of OS you have? GPUs?
