BitSyncom, I see you have problems with finances. Something went wrong. You asked yourself many times - why you should sell asics? Hehe

Please don't make new threads about batch 2.

There will be pre-sales thread here soon as we are ready, followed by 2 news letters before it goes out accompanied by a single countdown timer then may the fastest clicker win.

pro tip: use Bitcoin for speedy confirmations.

Good call, to your answer your question: the source code will be uploaded to github soon as we remove a bunch of debug related stuff.

No offense anti76, You sent a wire on 01/10/2013 for this order, long after everyone else and the orders have ended, which effectively making you the last person who will receive these units, and because of the paranoid security measures we take, I am unable to get secure access to change your order at the moment, nor I am in a hurry. I have already informed you in the previous thread I am aware of this order and this will be taking cared of.

Since ultimately we are at fault for not closing your order after you failed to pay in 10 days as per Terms of Service you accepted when purchasing Avalon, I will be honoring your wire payment, but I am more than happy to issue you a refund if these terms are not satisfactory.

Wow, payment on Jan 10 is really ridiculous! If I knew you were so generous, I would have pre-ordered.

To be fair, I think you have all the reasons to reject his payment. I suggest you to hold a lucky draw and the winners will buy those machines.

Chill, man!

Avalon should be able to handle the situation just fine.

BitSyncom,

Can you share a word about invoicing and avalon name printed inside. It will be great if you share how you will process the other queue. I am curious how you will manage the shipment order. It will be based on Type of Payment, Order number, Date of payment received or what?

Thanks

Perhaps the price should depend on the difficulty. Tongue

price = 1200 + 800*3249549.58448721/diff

Very interesting idea.

Is their any reason why the base price has gone up by $200 Unit Price: $1,499 from Unit Price: $1,299 on 2nd batch
Perhaps because the actual device specs exceed 66GH/s? (Speculation only of course)

$1299 / 66 =  $19.68

1499 / 19.68 = 76.16 GH/s

Coincidence that it is slightly above bASICs speed of 72Gh/s?

Anyway, it is only speculation.

Are the units rack-able? How tall are they, 4U, correct? What about the depth?

Also BitSyncom, could you please answer to my PM? It would be really appreciated.

Thank you.

My anger against what is wrong in the Bitcoin community is productive:
Bitcointa.lk - Replace "Bitcointalk.org" with "Bitcointa.lk" in this url to see how this page looks like on a proper forum (Announcement Thread)
Hashfast.org - Wiki for screwed customers

If bASIC resurrects I suppose the free market will do its thing.

If not, it may need to be set on something else.

I got this from the Avalon faq.
In the first sentence you wrote shipping 300 units will take 2 weeks, conservative estimated.

But right after this the promise to ship all before the end of Feb.

The difference is more than a month.

Can you be more clear about this ?
