I want to get opinions from F1 Fans.

What do you think about "Drive to Survive" on Netflix? this year I really enjoyed "F1" due MotoGP in my perspective no longer fun due there is no drama at all like (Rossi with Lorenzo, Stoner, Pedrosa and Marc). Because watching "DTS" on 2021, the drama between Lewis and Max but not only the driver. Both of the team & leader principal is also attacking is other, it makes me really fun to watch since there has some drama behind the race.

Some people in say "DTS" is garbage, but I want to know from the perspective people who are enjoying/fans F1 before DTS is created. What do u think about that ?
I'm not saying that Dive to Survive is garbage, but I stopped watching it. It's interesting, especially first seasons, but now I don't like that they're trying to make fake rivalries out of nowhere and too much drama. It's one of reasons why Verstappen left this project.
It's good project to attract new fans to F1, I personally know some people who started to follow F1 after watching DTS. But when one guy said that Grosjean car was burning for like 10 minutes and only then he managed to get out of it, it gave me smile.

In any case Spielberg is very good for the Ducatis, the new chicane won't change that, as in Formula 1 the full throttle percentage in Spielberg is very high, probably the highest of the whole season. But let's wait and see what the weather will be like this year, rain is possible and as we remember from last year, anything is possible at Flag to Flag.

If the weather conditions turn to rain, then factory Ducati and home manufacturers like KTM will try to dominate the race at Spielberg because both manufacturers have had very good speeds there. I can't wait to see the Spielberg race again because there are a lot of surprising moments happening at Spielberg even though Spielberg's Red Bull Ring circuit relies heavily on full speed for every bike.

I just read a few articles about what you're saying while "Max" leaves DTS. IMO, with the series continue while the Liberty Media take over is quite a success even there has some confrontational. Based on the comparison crown (MotoGP vs F1), we got 3x more rather than MotoGP.

As long not passed the barrier for the content, still be fine.

There is one week left for the upcoming race. The latest winner of the Spa Grand Prix is Max Verstappen. Red Bull still have one of the best cars on the grid so there is a significant chance for Verstappen to win two times in a row. Leclerc seems like the only driver who can compete at the same level with him now but he is the victim of Ferrari's poor strategies and problems. He doesn't have much chance for the championship now also. As I don't trust Ferrari, I see Verstappen closer to a win here.

Red Bull seems to have things in order. With drivers and especially mechanically of course. There are fewer and fewer problems at Red Bull. It still continues to amaze me that Mercedes has fallen back so far, they have already had half a year to solve their problems and it still doesn't seem to be the case. Hamilton doesn't even have a 1% chance of becoming world champion anymore and will be happy if he manages to win a race. Could all this have to do with the new regulations? You would then say that Red Bull and Ferrari must also suffer from this, but the opposite seems to be true. I predict another smooth victory with spectacular for Verstappen.

As a result of the decision taken by the World Motor Sports Council a budget limit was introduced for the money that can be spent on the development of power units and research studies in F1. This has both advantages and disadvantages. Its advantage is to strengthen the competitive environment and encourage brands that want to enter the race. The downside is that engine developers have limited resources and maybe we won't be able to see more powerful engines. Only ninety-five million dollars a year will be spent on power units. Not much can be done with this budget. Therefore, the research and development work of the teams will be reduced. I hope they give up on this decision as soon as possible.

Everything can change if rain, all greatness, skill, and speed will be changed in bad weather. like a year ago on the same circuit, Spielberg's Red Bull Ring, Brad Binder make a surprise, he didn't change a motorcycle after the finish. This brave decision make him a champion and beat Marquez who almost won on the last 2 laps. But, If mbak rara is in there, he can handle the rain in good I guess.

Most likely it is from the new regulations as we cannot explain otherwise this downgrade in performance of Mercedes compared to last year.For Ferrari and Redbull they absorbed much better the new regulations so they built better cars compared to Mercedes.

For Verstappen victory I would not go all in,Ferrari in the last race showed really a good fast pace and they have been working hard to match and bypass Redbull top speed.It will be interesting to see the race in the end of August at Belgium which can answers all our questions.

For Verstappen victory I would not go all in,Ferrari in the last race showed really a good fast pace and they have been working hard to match and bypass Redbull top speed.It will be interesting to see the race in the end of August at Belgium which can answers all our questions.
It's obvious that new stuff will be a bit of a weird one. For the explained regulations so far, 2026 car will be overall faster, but top speed will be faster, the lows will be even lower. Meaning the electric part will be used more and fossil fuel would be little to none.

This means, just take an example, instead of going 250 on the turns and 310 at straights for 70 laps, we are going to have 350 on straights for like 10 laps or overtakes, but then we will have it at 200 to cooldown and recharge. So, tops and lows will be even more radical. This will allow us however to see insane races where everyone will be at top speed to finish off and the one that manages to arrange their ERS better will be winning.

So, if the new material is suitable for the Moto GP track and condition, I think is good also to reduce cost because plastic is cheaper than rubber material, but we still don't know if Yamaha, especially Quartararo wants to use it because he is very chatty when talking about tired, if not soft he will use a previous material when allowed to choose.
I don't see Quartararo as a fussy rider because he's just trying to defend his crown so he can win another world title this season.

I've been following F1 for almost 2 decades and I can say that the evolution of this sport is something wonderful to see.
I would never have imagined that F1 would one day have electric motors, but today that seems to me to be something practically certain.
Formula E is a great inspiration for the teams and I believe that very soon both can be "merged" into the same championship, as there will be no more reason to have two categories (F1 and FE).

Yesterday's FP2 MotoGP session was occupied by Ducati motorcycles in the top 8 with a total of 7 Ducati motorcycles from various teams and there was only one Japanese manufacturer there, namely Yamaha with Fabio Quartararo. And I'm starting to be curious to see today's session, where Ducati still has the potential to dominate the top 8 because there are 7 Ducati motorcycles that are included in the Q2 session.

The type of the Red Bull Ring circuit indeed suitable for the Ducati Desmosedici
And historically, Ducati has a good record at this circuit. Ducati has won six wins at the Red Bull Ring since 2016.
But before the race, Red Bull Ring has revealed a layout change by adding a new chicane for Turn 2
The new chicane will be a difficult challenge because it has to reduce the top speed.
It will be interesting to see whether Ducati can conquer this new challenge in the race.

It's now official, there will be a sprint race at every MotoGP race in 2023. Since apparently FP4 and Q1 and Q2 on Saturday will not be canceled, this could be very exhausting for the MotoGP riders, a very dense program. I am curious about the new format.

We will have new engines in F1 in  4 years on the year 2026.

They will triple the power of the electric part and they will decrease by 37% the combustion power...

Theoretical simulation is... same output power.

It's a long shot with the V6 but hopefully they get at least the semblance of the screaming V8's - V10's engine sound back.  When I think of F1, it's the screaming engines that always come to mind.  It's just different without it although there have been the lawn mower sounding engines in the past.

Anyway are there any updates with the Ferrari side?  The season would start to suck if Verstappen starts dominating...  :/

I've been following F1 for almost 2 decades and I can say that the evolution of this sport is something wonderful to see.
I would never have imagined that F1 would one day have electric motors, but today that seems to me to be something practically certain.
Formula E is a great inspiration for the teams and I believe that very soon both can be "merged" into the same championship, as there will be no more reason to have two categories (F1 and FE).
It’s not always a move forward if you ask me. Whenever there is a huge move like what we will see in 2026, it always changes it a bit worse first before it gets better.

Look at the last one and how it changed the sport completely. F1 became Mercedes league and everyone else just tried to survive and nothing more. Ferrari and Red Bull tried, failed to get constructors, and only Red Bull got one driver win last year finally, 8 titles in a row.

If 2026 sees another team being that great, that is going to be a trouble. Nobody could make me believe that teams are not already spending insane amounts to build it already behind closed doors neither by the way, they are definitely doing it somewhere. So, one team will start off better than everyone and I hope we would watch teams close, not one team winning 8 titles again.

I also can't tell yet if sprint racing on Saturday in MotoGP is a good idea, but we'll see next year.

Regarding yesterday's qualifying, it's absolute Ducati country in Austria, but the weather is unstable at the moment and anything can happen.
