Ozcoin never sleeps.

US2.ozco.in mining server has just been upgraded to a faster link. Also more memory for the server. Server is located in the midwest. We invite our eastern and midwest miners to use this server.

Mining Both Bitcoin and Litecoin.

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

Graet, I've noticed that shares from us1 show up in statistics with more delay than those accepted by us2 server. Does it affect payouts? For me its more convenient to work with us1, in terms of distance, but as you said earlier us2 has been upgraded  Grin

delayed stats should not affect payouts, all the shares for a round are tallied for that round.
US2 was put onto a faster link, that is the only recent upgrade Smiley

BTW, switching servers is recognized by the pool as being disconnected for a few minutes, and then connected back, hence reducing the payout (even if the switch is instant)

I have never experienced this, there may be a delay in stats and a few stales as you switch over but certainly not minutes.
how have you come to this conclusion?

Indeed I get some stales, but only a few. It can be seen from the user hash rate graph, also round credit gets reduced. However, as I just switched back to us2, I didn't get reduced hash rate. On the contrary I had 20% bump up for a few minutes. So, I guess it evens out  Grin. You might want to check if there could be a bug allowing people to get some extra shares accepted by both servers because of delay. It could be beneficial on the start of every block, as if the block is small, you get higher percentage of it...but I hope everything is fine and this is just an interface lag.

sounds more like a lag in stats than anything, servers only accept back work they have sent out, each mining node has its own bitcoind, so a few stales while waiting for work from new server is to be expected
cheers

longest round ever?
yes it was a very long round, no more broken than when we found 4 blocks in a row a couple of weeks ago Smiley
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=14085.msg1029314#msg1029314

highest sharecount for a block yes
but with the higher difficulty

if you look at shares/difficulty I don't think its the biggest block yet Smiley
BLOCK: 191666 | 16244082 shares | 10h 35m 27s | Amount: 50.06635 | Found by testconpastas | 797.58% of difficulty
pretty sure we had at least  one over 800% before Smiley

All I can say is variance happens Smiley

Thanks Graet... you gave me your bad luck, we just had a 13.5 million round.  Our longest ever, too!

Take your luck back!

If you're searching these lines for a point, you've probably missed it.  There was never anything there in the first place.

I wonder, if major pools are in a bad luck, that means someone could be pushing luck, or using rainbow tables...just saying...

Maybe someone is doing a block withholding attack. I doubt it, though.

I also find the huge hashrate/luck fluctuations strange but I guess luck variance on network scale from the extremely good and extremely bad scale will slowly have bigger gaps due to increase in hashrate, so its not all that unlikely that this is all just good/badluck streaks.

One thing that seems pretty strange though after looking at deepbit luck, its sitting at 1hr 30mins per block for the day @ 3.5TH, that seems pretty damn unreal. o_0
