Ethereum: Good alt or stay away?

I believe in good future of ETH: ETH has strong and active community, great roadmap, relatively big trading volume. Even at current time it has platform with lots of advantages over other most popular coins. So it at least should be considered to hold.

Holding bitcoin and not holding ETH would be the worst decision.

ETH is still under-valued, we can see it being close to at least a half of bitcoin in coming years.

Hi everyone, I've been around for a while now.. 
I've seen a lot of posts positive and negative about Ethereum.

At the moment I am holding Bitcoins, but I have invested in some Ether as well.

Now I am wondering, what are legitimate concerns about Ether (except for IPO, as I've already read this in a lot of posts).

So can anyone bring real other issues to the table, to enlighten me (and maybe a lot of other readers?)

There is no better altcoin to trade than ethereum. Ethereum is just the prefect altcoin for I have almost never lost 90% of my trades while trading ethereum . If you are trading I strongly suggest you try it ether just has so many support and resistance which is good for traders.

Well I remember I faced a pretty big loss from Ethereum during trading though.

Bought it at around 0.09 BTC, but since then, still holding it. I faced a loss, but since then, I've considered it as a long-term investment. Now its going to stay up in my wallet for few years, and by then, I expect a good return.

Ethereum is a great alt coin, its the no.2 crypto-currency and still has a very long growth road ahead of itself.

Potentially 1000+ in the coming year(s) as more ICOs and projects are released using the platform.

Been in Crypto for almost half a year, and I never own any ETH to be honest! Besides, some good ERC-20 token under Ethereum like PAY (Tenx), KNC (Kyber), BAT (Basic Attention Token), MTL (Metal), ZRX (0x Blockchain Exchange), SNT (Status Network Token), ADT (AdToken), NET (Nimiq); ---- the rest you can stay away!

These are all potential coins that are capable of running their own blockchain one day! Like QTUM, now on their own MAINNET and will no longer be ERC-20 token soon!

my view is positive toward ethereum because reason  is after btc only ethereum gave good and stable growth in market if we see future in crypto then ethereum will also set up good mail stone so my view we can invest

Wondering how someone can ask question like this about beloved ethereum alt ;-)

Off course ethereum is very good investment as long as all the ICO run on the smart contracts provided by ethereum blockchain. The more they are there the more is the investment into ether in the first world. Just imagine how much market capitalisation ether will gain in next two to three years if this continues and people keep buying more ethereum ever other day. Think about it in long term investment because it resides with all the potential as compared to other altcoin in the market which are just having status of ticker for particular ICO and nothing much. At least it is better to invest in ether because it control the investment if these ICO's.

ETH has alot things that deserve superior than other altcoins. And in my opinion, Eth has potential to be more valuable in future. Diversifying investments in Eth is great idea.

I think ethereum is one of those coins which are sure to grow in future as it is one of the most popular crypto currency available in the market right now.
It is currently the most used platform for ICOs and new projects.
It has a really strong development team.
I think the price of ethereum will cross the 1000$ mark within an year or so and investment in ethereum can help you earn high returns.

Ethereum not still under-valued, this coin had pumped to $400 and reached to highest in a short time, if you compare the percent grow of Ethereum to Bitcoin from 2016 till highest price of this year, the winner will be Ethereum, not is Bitcoin.

I see a lot of potential in Ether. ETH got really strong basics and still, there is a good opportunity in it. I don't know but I have more rigid trust on ETH, I feel ETH is still not at its right price, it is devalued. Actually, new investors don't know much about altcoins and know BITCOIN as only crypto-currency.

For me this ethereum is the most trusted altcoin in crypto currency society, so I can't see anything to leave ethereum. Moreover I believe that this is time is the perfect day to invest in ethereum coin, because this altcoin now in the market was quitely fluctuate a little bit. I'm looking forward that on the following days or month their prices was rapidly increasing. So for now I just want to hold my ethereum coin.

Ethereum still has a lot of potential investment-wise compared to bitcoin. It just reached 300$ right now and is still going up while bitcoin's price right now are either just playing at around 4k-4.5k. Don't get discourage by the forks that happened these past months, it is a good alt all in all.

Yes it needs some time to stable at the market. Now it already proved it is a good currency in the market. But to reach bitcoin range, it required some time. According to me, ETH is good alt.

I would recommend the miners who do not support the hard fork can mine at some pools which do not support the hard fork.

I still believe Ethereum in long term will make a good investment. When the time Ethereum shifts to staking it will grow higher.
