only 8 GPU possible to run on win7, if more - BSOD when loading video drivers,
6xGPU mod not helpful

For the nVidia cards, you can run more than 8 GPU in the Windows. For the AMD cards, 8 GPU is the limit.

anyone know what memory brand sapphire is using for the card "SAPPHIRE Radeon RX 470 100407-4GOCL "?
8 GB Nitro use samsung. Others use hynix.
I want to ask something about solo mining to you. When solo mining Ionly see ''new job accepted''. If I see share accepted, I find a block. Is it right? Can you give more detail?

SOLO MINING "SHARE" MEANS YOU HIT A BLOCK--

If you see a report of 1 share, you should have 5 ETH in your wallet.  Your "share" is 100% of the block because your are solo-mining.  You may have a long wait between shares on any single rig, but if you have enough rigs, just read your wallet balance.       --scryptr

Hello,

I have a problem when I overclock my six 480´s Sapphire 8Gb. I have 2 .bat´s, one with OC and another one with no OC. When I want to OC the cards I have to do this sequence:

- If I open the OC .bat, the cards run in the standard hashrate (25Mh/s) . I have to copy it to the "start folder" and reboot Windows 10.
- When Windows starts, it automatically runs the OC.bat but I get the standard hashrate again. I checked the file that was running was "OC.bat" in the top of the window.
- I have to copy the no OC.bat to the start folder and reboot Windows 10 and...voilá, I get the 27Mh/s.

If I have any problem and the Rig reboots it gets the standard hashrate again Sad

I have checked the config.txt and it´s empty and I´m using the v7.1. Any idea of what´s happening?

Thanks

EthDcrMiner64.exe -tt 65 -r 1 -mode 1 -cclock 1220,1220,1220,1220,1220,1220 -cvddc 920,920,920,920,920,920 -mclock 2250,2250,2250,2250,2250,2250 -mport 3856 -epool eth-eu.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal 0xxxxxxxxxx...

Sounds like you accidentally mixed up your OC and Non-OC .bat files with all your copying around...  Tongue

Seriously - if you start your OC .bat and it does not overclock you are really doing something wrong.
Claymore's settings usually override other utilities' settings, but check for running tools like afterburner and similar.
AMD Settings (Wattman) also keeps the values you set with CDM after the next reboot, until you set different ones. So even without your last step (copy), only with reboot, you should get the OC Speed. (Edit: at least before version 7.1 that was the case, did not test with latest release)

@claymore One of my systems has an AMD Pro Duo and I am getting invalid shares from GPU 1. It is not hot and not overclocked. Using Windows 7 64bit with crimson 16.9.2. I have reinstalled it a few times. Is there a setting in Claymore I can change that would effect this ? I am on 7.1.

It's a good idea to tell me how much % of shares are invalid, if it's <0.5% it's ok. If you want zero invalid shares - use "-the 2" option. If it does not help - something is wrong with your GPU.

100% of GPU 1 is invalid. Just did a test with a benchmark and there was a large amount of artefact. Must be device failure.

Just a suggestion but the remote manager really need a custom colour option. The White background is killing me. And if you do work on it please allow different text sizes as the font is crazy small on a 4K screen. Thanks for a great system though

LOL, one of the coolest things I have ever seen!  Grin Cool

@Claymore: a max of 16 could be insufficient  Cheesy

Which exact model is that MB , and does it have additional power on PCI-E line ( similar to BTC -MBs )

That is not a motherboard, it is a PCIe expansion backplane that runs a little over $2K.. It does have discreet power but not enough to power all of the cards without powered risers.

Hi guys,
I just tried to switch from Ubuntu 16.04 to windows 7 x64 to mine. Ubuntu 16.04 and the amd GPU pro driver are just awful.

I installed a basic windows 7 just with the latest amd crimson drivers, the OS has not been updated yet. When I launch claymore, the miner enumerates the cards and then crashes (stopped working). I tried 7.1 and 6.4, same result. Also same result with and without environment variables. Virtual memory is set to 16gb.

Other than windows not being updated, I don't get what's causing this, my main desktop which is also windows 7 x64 has no issues running claymore.

Any advice or anyone ran into the same issue?

Thanks

I heard Parity is better  but if it is true?

NANOPOOL SWITCHED TO PARITY--

The last few days have been rough on NanoPool, apparently the GETH wallet has security flaws.  There have been recent attacks on the Ethereum network.  I haven't solo-mined Ethereum for more than a year, but I did find 2 blocks on the GETH wallet before the network hash rate skyrocketed last year at this time.

There were some posts on this thread earlier where Claymore was making sure that his miner was solo-mining compatible with the Parity wallet.  If I recall correctly (IIRC), the solo-miner reported success.

I would not try to solo-mine Ethereum with only one or two rigs.       --scryptr

I dont think this is the exactly problem ... There are other question i think ... Ethminer show costant 50 mhs and The HD 7990 working fine ... Whit ckaymore this card work many many to hard... And i cant find what is the problem ... And hashrate in solo or dual mode its equal for this GPU near 17+17 ... On ethminer show 50 or 25+25 mhs ...  Huh

for Claymore: Please add a mirror for your builds that is ftp-like and wget-able ? and with a predictable naming.
So I can do wget http://mirrorsite.com/claymore71.tar.gz
It's very annoying on headless system to download your miner. have to put in on usb, make a local webserver to share it, etc. Links text browser doesn't work with google and mega.

I am going to mirror the sentiment that intensity needs to be reduced during dag generation. Previous memory OCs were stable, now with the latest epoc they are no longer stable during generation. Please add the ability to reduce intensity on the miner during DAG generation.

I can generate the dag without a memory OC just fine then OC the memory after the miner is running and it works. If I try to generate the DAG while the memory OC is in place the GPUs crash.

I buy private Nvidia miners. Send information and/or inquiries to my PM box.

I am telling you that is EXACTLY the problem. It is a normal speed for hd 7990, it got slower over time mining ETH due to the dag file size increase. I had one and it had the exact same speed. You can use ethminer and see 50mh if it makes you feel better.
