Oh dear, you're still deluded about it 2+ years after the ponzi crashed and burned. None of Garza's PNGs had anything to do with BTC mining. Although he did appreciate the BTC y'all paid for them.

Because its designed to be an economy, generate btc for the development of ion.  Use btc income to support the markets, develop ion, and the ionomy platform.  It will also support buy pressure on the exchange.  Using your own coin to fund development makes no sense.  Coins that do use their coins for development, well you can see where that ends up, pressure down on the markets as they need to sell their coins to pay for services/development. 

How is this any different? Those cards put more IONs into the hands of bagholders (presumably that's why they buy them) from the premine in exchange for bagholders' BTC. Same thing as if the team just sold a bunch of "own coin to fund development" and those same bagholders bought it with that same BTC, except you wouldn't need the convoluted PNGs and hyperinflation and all that other bullshit.

You aren't really suggesting that the "team" invented some mysterious method of producing money out of thin air, are you?

They can use said inside info about the project to make market moves or to give bad advice to the "peon" ION holders so they can capitalize and improve or profit off their holdings. For example, WildShark preaches and preaches how awesome ION is and your should buy and hodl. Yet he dumps his MN earnings on to Bittrex every single day. He sets it to automatically do this. A ask him why he shills for the coin yet dumps his daily earnings. And Korvas, the other big shill whale on BCT will never properly address and answer your question. He'll give you a run around word salad, aggressively defending any negatives you may point out, leaving the main point of your question unanswered for several thread posts.
