How so? I've heard the same multiple times for both 2015 and 2016.
Yeah why based on what are people saying this? We do not know what is going to happen with Bitcoin in 2017. We will just have to wait and see what 2017 is going to bring us. |

Yeah why based on what are people saying this? We do not know what is going to happen with Bitcoin in 2017. We will just have to wait and see what 2017 is going to bring us. We will see that is for sure, but now we are discussing what we will see. I think people saying this cause of facts around. Bitcoin is much more popular then 2 years ago and if everything goes well after halving and we see some nice rise even more people will join in 2017 ( one reason ). When we speak about price we can also see how stable btc is over 400 $ this year, much better then to years ago and again I hope so we can see some nic2 big price next year, stable! ( second reason ). Where could people spend and use btc 2 years ago? This year we saw bovada and steam accept btc payments, and many more before them.. again I believe next year others will join also. So that is reason number 3. |

what upcoming events are you talking about? there is only the block halving that people put too much faith in and maybe the block size that will get increased to 2mb this year. the latter will most likely have only a very short term price increase as result. Nobody will know what the value will be and that is the problem because Bitcoin is a currency so you never know what is going to happen with Bitcoin and that is the problem. But the most people are of course hoping that the value will be more worth so they can sell it soon with huge profit. |

what upcoming events are you talking about? there is only the block halving that people put too much faith in and maybe the block size that will get increased to 2mb this year. the latter will most likely have only a very short term price increase as result. The most are hoping that Bitcoin will be have a good year in that year but we never will know what is going to happen with the value and that would be bad because it is hard to predict the value of Bitcoin. And you have to also take some risks with Bitcoin otherwise it would be not possible to take any profit. |

2017 will not be the year of the bitcoin in my opinion, I honestly think this year will be the real year of the bitcoin due to the events that are happening.
The halving is such a big thing and I think its a good thing and it will change the whole future.

The law of supply if you carefully analyze will takes place. |

As you can see than there will be a lot of people that is getting to use Bitcoin and that would be nice for the currency but you never know when it is going to happen and that is the problem.
But it is hard that you know that because you also never know what will happen.

This again? Which year hasn't been entitled as a 'Year of Bitcoin' yet? People always have higher expectations in the symbolic moments (beginning/end of something) or when they expect quick and significant profits - they are excited by that perspective.
