It ll all depend on the results of halving. If BTC price does not go and up and it does not get matched by alts prices going up in a few months after halving, there will be no increased public interest in BTC and there will be no great year for crypto.
However, I still think we re on track.

you are right i also heard the same multiple times for both 2015 and 2016. 2017 should be said year of the Bitcoin. This happens because of halving by 2016 will have an impact in 2017. Yes 2016 and 2017 will definitely be the years of bitcoin, as we are seeing that the rate of adoption of bitcoin by the people is increasing with fastest speed all over the world, and in the years of 2017 I think more than 50% of the people will have bitcoin in their wallets. |

I think the prices will not immediately increase after halving happened, but the next few months, or the effect will be felt when entering 2017. so I would say 2017 will be year of the Bitcoin. |

Agree! There was a nice price increase since the beginning of the year. Not only the halving will have its positive impact on Bitcoin price also some political and economical events like the Brexit poll, the ongoing Greece drama (it will come up again in the next weeks/months) and American elections. Thus, I am very positive for the price development of Bitcoin this year. I think the year 2016 has started well for bitcoin. this year there will be halving. and it is beginning to be better bitcoin. bitcoin prices are expected to be higher. users and the number of financial transactions that use bitcoin as a medium of payment will exceed expectations.

Who knows...  Maybe 2017 will really be the year of bitcoin. who know nothing will happen in 2017 in bitcoin? if the user does not increase after halving. maybe 2017 will be a bad year for bitcoin. possible effect of halving that does not benefit the holder. and they were all disappointed and then sell all of their bitcoin? |

every year I hear the same thing about the next year being the year of bitcoin but I guess every year that we take a step, even a small step forward it is considered the year of bitcoin. and these steps are actually getting bigger and bigger. this year has a big event called halving in it which makes it a good year for bitcoin and personally the steam news was great for me. |

Every year is the year of bitcoin and for this 2016 it reach its another miles stone and price will going up for thia halvig event incoming and we cant tell for 2017 cause its not 2017 yet let see what will be happen in future and mostly of us hoping for bitcoin good run in 2017

We cannot predict what will be the price of bitcoin after 2 years as it is difficult to judge as we are not sure what will be the price at halving so thinking of next 2 years would be waste of time. |

So far every year has been a great year for Bitcoin. Just ignore the price for a second and only have a look at how much we have achieved the last years. The infrastructure is growing continuously.More and more companies got created.VC funding is way over a billion dollars now.Postive signs from european parliament, UK and now also Japan.The fundamentals are getting better and better. We are progressing. And as you said every step forward, even if it's just a small one, is one in the right direction. |

That's a very positive projection of yours, I hope that will happen because I am putting a little of my investment in BTC. If the value will reach at that point I will surely be cashing some of it just to taste a bit of the fruits of my investment. I think 1000USD is to much, but for $600-800 i think it's still acceptable. Better we wait until halving, because the halving really affect the price of bitcoin itself. |

Well 2017 is still so far and we are into 2016 and this is very important year as per so financial giant prediction for more high price than before, blocking halving will make price skyrocket and i am quite sure it will be get stable around $800-$1000 before end of current year.

I don't if this is possible by next year that bitcoin will range to its price of $1,000.00 Since we cannot tell and predict what will happen in the future of bitcoin. But this is a positive thought that it will reach 1k USD , I think we just need to go with the flow and lets just thanks bitcoin if that happens. |
